Whole Health Dental Center is a holistic, biological dental practice for the whole family, located just 20 minutes outside of Washington, DC, in Falls Church, VA. Our patients come from across the DC metro area - and even from outside the US! That's because Dr. Felix Liao is no ordinary dentist. He is an Airway-centered Mouth Doctor who, when not serving his patients' needs, teaches his Whole Health approach to other dentists around the world. The Whole Health way is founded on a science-supported truth: When it comes to health, the mouth is pivotal.
Your mouth is responsible for more of your health challenges than most dental and medical professionals realize. And probably far more than you ever imagined, too. All mouths are NOT created equal. A structurally impaired mouth creates many health troubles that lead to higher medical and dental bills and lower quality of life.
Dr. Felix Liao is an AMD who, when not serving his patients' needs, teaches his Whole Health approach to other dentists around the world. Dr. Felix, as many of his patients know him, earned his DDS from Case University of Dental Medicine, and today holds Masterships with both the Academy of General Dentistry and the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine (IABDM).

Dr. Liao is AMAZING! He was a god send. I've been having terrible alignment issue with my teeth and jaw and traditional western dentists were pushing me to get Corrective Jaw Surgery a.k.a orthognathic which entails cutting your jaw bone and reattaching with 2 metal brackets. The surgery is brutal and takes upwards of 6-12 months for recovery. I was opposed to taking this route and decided to take a more holistic approach.
During my search, I discovered Dr. Liao on a podcast where he was discussing his book 6 Foot Tiger in 3 Foot Cage. Although I was based in Los Angeles, CA I needed to meet with him and discuss my options. We initially did a Skype Consultation which was super easy and effective. He was able to analyze my mouth via video chat which I thought was awesome.
After the consultation, Dr. Liao determined that I was a candidate and suggested that I come see him in person for a more thorough analyzation. Our initial in person meeting was very interesting. He analyzed and pin pointed all sorts of issues that I've been having based on the misalignment of my Jaw. We decided to proceed with the treatment and it's been a great experience so far.
I'm about 18 months into my treatment and I'm starting to see tremendous results with the alignment of my jawline but also with the other issues which were caused by the misalignment e.g. constant sore neck and shoulder pain, difficulty breathing when I attempted to run or exercise, constant bitting of my lip or inner portions of my mouth, etc. As an out of state patient, Dr. Liao has been incredible to work with.
I fly in to see him 1x every 3-4 months for proper adjustment of my mouth piece and he's available 24/7 via his direct cell phone number. I can text him pictures of my mouth piece or mouth if I'm ever having pain or issues with my mouth piece and he responds immediately. I'm very much looking forward to completing my treatment with Dr. Liao in the next 6-12 months and having my dental and jaw issues resolved naturally. Dr. Liao is an amazing doctor and I definitely recommend him to anyone having issues with the misalignment of the Jaw.

Dr. Liao is an expert on the mouth and its impact on whole health. He has written 2 excellent books on this topic as well as providing outstanding care for many patients with oral/dental issues.
