Dr. Bassiri just completed the long procedure of providing me with a new Dental Implant. In spite of the many physical negatives of needing/having this done, the Doctor, as well as all his office workers and assistants, made the experience a VERY positive one. I would recommend him to anyone needing any type of Dental procedure.

Dr. Bassiri's work is truly incredible. I've been going to his offices (both locations, in Fairfax and in Gainesville) since last year, and for the first time in my life, I actually look forward to going to the dentist. He's patient and professional, but he's also very personable and easy to talk to. I hadn't been to a dentist in a long time before my first visit, plus I had been grinding my teeth in my sleep, so there was a laundry list of things to take care of. Dr. Bassiri created a plan with me to start addressing various issues.
He made sure that I was informed of the timeline and cost up front so that there were no surprises along the way. I recently had two implants done as well (a procedure that a lot of people probably anticipate to be scary or costly), but Dr. Bassiri and his amazing team made sure that I knew exactly what to expect. I didn't experience any pain in the implant sites the next day, and I'm looking forward to finishing the process in a few months. Without a doubt, the best dentist I've ever been to.

I found this dental practice while searching for place to do my daughter's braces. Dr. Bassiri gave a very good quote for braces, consultation was great and very professional and their pricing was more than competitive. I highly recommend this place. I myself decided to switch dental offices and proceeded with implant process that I started elsewhere with Dr. Bassiri.
Let me tell you for a person that regularly sees dentist for all sorts of work and have anxiety in the dentist chair I was amazed how professionally I was handled by Dr. Bassiri and Miss Amy. Doctor has very gentle touch I felt pressure but I did not feel like I was constantly punched in the face during the procedure like I felt when I did my last implant elsewhere.
Miss Amy was assisting during the surgery and her touch was as gentle as doctor's. I felt relaxed in their hands. It is not pleasant to go through implant surgery but Dr. Bassiri and Miss Amy made me feel very comfortable. I have seen and done work with many dentists in the area no one can beat these guys. I loved the experience and highly recommend this practice for all dental needs. Will be referring my friends and family to this practice. Thank you Dr. Bassiri and Miss Amy.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Bassiri for nearly 25 years! Like many people, having dental work performed can cause stress, however Dr. Bassiri always makes sure I am comfortable and completely pain free during any procedure I have. I have had extensive dental work done and Dr. Bassiri is the only dentist I will allow to work on me. He encouraged me to get a full set of upper veneers and they look beautiful!
Before any work is done, he makes sure I understand what work is needed and the cost for the work done. Dr. Bassiri is an excellent dentist and I highly recommend him and his team!

As a person who has dental related anxiety I specifically sought out this practice after their advertisement on their website of sedation dentistry. To my surprise after my teeth cleaning the dentist informed me that they DO NOT have nitrous oxide (which they say they do on the website) and that people who want it are "seeking to get high". After being persuaded by the dentist to let him at least try to fill one cavity without it and see how it went I made an appointment.
The day before my appointment my anxiety already kicked it so I decided to cancel. After talking myself up for a couple weeks I called to reschedule. When I called to reschedule I asked if the dentist could write me a prescription for something to help with my anxiety before I had any dental work done. The receptionist told me that she would have to speak with the dentist and give me a call back.
When she called back she explained that the dentist would not give me anything to in her own words "take the edge off" and my only option would be to have full sedation which would cost almost $800.00. I found it completely unacceptable that this was my only option considering their advertisement of working with people that have dental anxiety. I also found the language of "to take the edge off" completely inappropriate.
It is not uncommon for people to have anxiety when they go to the dentist so if you are looking for a place to accommodate or be understanding without wanting to pay $800.00 for full sedation I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Bassiri for about 20 years. We travel over an hour to see him. He always takes the time to do whatever work needs to be done. We have always been happy with all the work he has done on us. With my husband that has been extensive. We have even had specialists comment on how good the work on our teeth is and asks who did the work. For me that is one of the highest compliments. We will be using him until he decides to retire.

Michael K. Bassiri is the good ole family doctor ICON of a dentist. He gives you a heads up with what the issues are and presents a good case for what is best for you in your situation. Im my case I neede a tooth pulled. He was careful, not in a rush, yet effecient to get the job done. He did such a great job I required no meds at all after the extraction.
Completely pain free. which is rare after the meds wear off cause this was a major mollar. I went back to work the next day with no issues at all. And price. that was good too. he is definatly not one of those clinics designed to extract the maximum amout of dollars from your wallet. I went to two other dentists in the area before I found this gem in the community.
The other two dentists wanted twice the fee for the same work which I am confident could not have provided better service. The other dentists were on main street. If you want a good dentist, stay away from the high trafic streets.
