Had a graft from my palate to an area that needed it. I was very nervous about the procedure. I wasted my energy worrying as it was painless and smooth. The recovery wasn't painless but it was easily tolerated (without pain meds). The follow-up and care instructions were excellent. Not looking to do it again but, if I need it, I'm going back here.

Dr. Van Aelst is one of the most compassionate and thoughtful professionals I have ever had the pleasure of working with. His dedication to his patients and the periodontal practice is unmatched in the Tampa Bay area.

Dr. Van Aelst is excellent! I had a gum graft In September by Dr. van Aelst, the procedure went very smooth without any issues. The Dr. took great care in making you comfortable with no discomfort before during and after the procedure. Office staff was very kind and competent.

We were referred to Dr. Van Aelst from our Orthodontist due to my daughter's gum recession that needed to be corrected before getting Invisalign. After having oral surgery myself as a 19 year old, I was very hesitant in what kind of recovery my 12 year old daughter would have after gum surgery. Dr. Van Aeist and all of his staff were very kind and helpful in answering all of my many questions.

Her procedure went extremely well and she didn't even need to fill her prescription for pain or discomfort. The recovery time was very short and the staff was extremely helpful in the process. Our family will definitely use Dr. Van Aeist again in the future if needed.

I went to Dr. Brian T. Van Aelst due to gum recession. From the first phone call to his office to set an appointment I felt so welcomed. I was provided with details about what to expect from the staff as well as Dr. Van Aelst. The lines of communication were excellent, and when it was time for the procedure I was relaxed. The procedures went very well, as they had anticipated.

My recovery time was short, and I felt well taken care of. There were several follow-up appointments and I always looked forward to interacting with the staff. I will recommend Dr. Van Aelst for periodontal work and I will definitely return if I ever need to.

My experience here by far has been better than any other physician's office I've stepped foot in. Aside from the professionalism, friendliness, and accommodations the office itself is truly inviting. I went to Dr. Van Aelst for Gum Contouring surgery and had the best experience from beginning to end, with extraordinary results. I cannot leave out the exceptional personal aftercare calls and texts from both the staff and Dr. himself days later. Dr. Van Aelst really exceeded all of my expectations and I'm forever a patient. Dr. Van Aelst preformed a root removal day of and worked quickly with my dentist and me to get me in on such short notice. He and his staff provided me with excellent service and are very accommodating. They helped calm my nerves and were very helpful with providing post op care instructions. They are very responsive over the phone and were able to provide me with comfort when my stitches started to come out earlier than I expected (B.T.W. google is wrong only took 3-4 days). I would recommend anyone to go to their office.

I found Dr. Van Aelst through a simple google Gum Contouring search. After having braces twice as an adult and still unsatisfied, I wanted a procedure that would finally make me feel happy about my smile. Dr. Van Aelst and his fantastic team were informative and attentive from my first consultation appointment to my last follow-up appointment. The Gum Contouring procedure was performed under sedation, so I woke up, and it was all over!

I was sent home with pain medications and maintained a pain level of 2-3 throughout the healing process. What follows next are a few follow-up appointments to make sure the gums are healing properly, to discuss flossing, and of course, to answer any questions/concerns. I would rate this office more than five stars if I could. My procedure was a success, so I will continue to visit Dr. Van Aelst and his team for dental cleanings to maintain my smile!

Dr. van Aelst was a pleasure to work with. He and his team were professional, kind, and helpful! I was initially worried about the gum lift procedure, but he and his team made me feel so comfortable. I can hardly remember the procedure, and had minimal pain afterward. It was so painless, I sometimes forget I ever had the procedure done --until I look at my beautiful smile in the mirror!
