Loken Patel and Courtney are amazing, they supported me through major dental anxiety, explained what they were doing in detail before starting, and we're so patient. Definitely recommend! I am still here so will update later.

The front desk was friendly and I was able to be worked in quickly for my procedure. Dr. Yoon was also friendly and knowledgeable. Most importantly, he is good at what he does. He made the procedure as painless as possible, listened to me and answered any questions I had. I will absolutely return if I ever need anymore endodontic work done. Wow! I was beside myself going into Excel for a root canal. I've already had two and they were both very stressful but I managed to white knuckle through both of them. With Dr. Yoon it was a total breeze where I could have fallen asleep. He was extremely gentle and the entire office was very kind. Kudos to Excel Dental Specialties!

Dr. Yoon and his staff at Excel are the absolute BEST! He is so gentle and thorough. He's the best at explaining things, takes his time with you and makes you feel like the most important patient he has. The staff is AMAZING! They actually played the Grateful Dead (my favorite) for me during my procedure so I'd be calm! Talk about going above and beyond! Melissa is absolutely WONDERFUL, too! I can't say enough about Excel and how wonderful they are! Everyone I've dealt with there have been absolutely top notch! 5 star, I highly recommend them!

I had the best experience Possible for my root canal today. Zero pain during or after at home. This was a professional personable office who was taking every precaution with the Covid virus. Just an absolutely perfect visit. Dr Yoon is fantastic. Thank you

Let me start off saying how incredibly anxious I was about this visit. I made the appointment for the root canal as soon as my dentist recommended it but boy, I was not looking forward to that day. Fast forward to today, and I'm so glad that I stuck it out. The receptionist was incredibly patient and welcoming. She explained the check in process, including COVID precautions, and went over how my insurance would work with my procedure.

The dental assistant could not have been more helpful, she was attentive and personable. Dr. Yoon was patient and knowledgeable, ensuring that I was doing well throughout the whole procedure. I left with only slight discomfort which dissipated after a few days. The office even called me the next day to check in on how I was doing afterwards. Little touches like that really demonstrate how this office really care about the patients that they help. I honestly could not have had a better experience. I'm no longer experiencing tooth pain thanks to their help!

I was in a lot of pain and they made room in their schedule to fit me in that day. I have had three root canals with them and I can't thank them enough for the work that they do. Everyone there is very helpful and makes you feel comfortable. Dr. Patel was very helpful and completed my root canal treatment that was totally painless. They are the best!

Professional staff, very clean office. Dr. Yoon was very patient and thorough. I hope I never have to have another root canal but if I do I would see him again. I highly recommend.

I have had 2 root canals by Dr. Yoon and He is EASILY the VERY BEST in Frederick to get a root canal from! Every root canal I've had anywhere else in my past, I was in pain for DAYS afterwards and needed high dose painkillers. With him all I needed was a couple Advil the next day and I was good! He's always very sweet and laid back, just like the rest of his staff. They made a really, not fun and scary thing, very comfortable for me. I am SO THANKFUL for them!

Dr. Patel and his staff are the best. I needed a root canal ASAP and was due to leave on vacation, so they managed to work me in quickly. The pain is gone and I feel confident about the exemplary treatment I received. Now I can go off and enjoy my holiday.

This dental office is clearly exceptional. Dr. Yoon and his staff are professional, sensitive to a patient's needs, courteous, and caring. I feel confident that his knowledge and skill are top-notch; he spent quite a bit of time explaining the root canal procedure he was about to do and answering any questions. I was pretty nervous when I walked in but that disappeared before the treatment began. I would not hesitate to recommend this excellent group.

Dr. Yoon was referred to us by our general dentist after my 9 year old chipped his adult front tooth. Needless to say, while it was a an experience I would have rather not endured, Dr. Yoon and his team went above and beyond to make sure that my son was comfortable and that the root canal procedure was successful. Dr. Yoon was available after hours when we have questions after the initial procedure. Our experience with Excel Dental was A++.

My dentist referred me to this practice and I was very pleased with the experience! When I called to schedule my appointment the appointment coordinator was very accommodating, especially when she heard I was in pain she was able to get me scheduled very promptly. The office is very clean and the team members were all polite and professional. Dr. Yoon was great, he took time to listen to my concerns and explained everything very well! He was very honest with my exam/treatment plan. I would definitely recommend this practice.

Let's start with I am terrified of dental work from a previous dental experience elsewhere! I was referred to Dr. YOON for a route canal. The building itself was a little hard to find as it's a little set in onTJ Dr. The office is very modern and beautiful with waterfalls and stone. Front desk girl super nice and calming. My assistant was very friendly and nice.

Sometimes u get grumpy staff at places especially on a Monday but NOT here very calming environment! Dr. Yoon explained in detail what he was going to do. The whole prepping practice was very modern with the way they protect your mouth, draping etc. I liked that alot.i have to even say the numbing too, normally I'm sore in the face etc. NOT HERE!

There was NO, ZERO, NADA pain during this dental procedure! I am shocked! Its 2 hours later and numbing is gone I feel normal with no soreness from anything! I can NOT stress how terrified I was and literally how happy and shocked I am that it was so easy and most of all painfree! I know I need another tooth done per my regular dentist. I'm going here from now on if needed! I am more than appreciative!

This has to be one of the best run medical offices of any type that I've been to. The staff is both friendly and professional and both Dr. Yoon and Dr. Patel are excellent and provided usable information and options and were kind and efficient during procedures. If you are "lucky" enough to need a root canal you might as well do it here and feel well cared for.

Today was my very first time at this office let alone an endocrinologist. I didn't know they were a thing. Well they are rootcanel specialist. Upon entering the staff was smiling and welcoming. They offered coffee with their selection of single cup servings. They explain what my visit was and how my insurance worked for my visit. Once taken back the assistance was personable and professional.

The doctor himself, Tony Koon, was very friendly and gentle during the examination. He discussed my situation with me in detail and made a plan to move forward to ensure I am on the right path for my oral health! Thank you and sees again soon for a re-evaluation.

The atmosphere and everyone at Excel Dental Specialties was warm and welcoming. Courtney, my dental assistant, and Dr Yoon were very attentive and caring about my specific situation. I needed a root canal at 35 weeks pregnant and not only were they able to accommodate my unique needs, but they were also able to keep me comfortable during the procedure. I highly recommend this practice to anyone who requires their endodontic needs met!

These guys are the best. The staff is sincerely friendly. You feel like you have known them for a while. Dr. Yoon is beyond professional. He caught an issue with one tooth (work another dentist performed incorrectly),t hat could have been very serious, when he was just following up on another tooth. If you are looking to get major dental work done and you want a professional, then you need to go to them.

Dr Yoon is a great thorough dentist that I found trustworthy and patient. I needed to get a procedure done recently and upon arriving for my appointment I was immediately relieved of stress since the staff were amazing. The receptionist Melissa is a gem as her customer service is top notch and made my check in and check out quite pleasurable. Dr Yoon answered all my questions and addressed my concerns prior to starting the work. If I ever need another procedure I will definitely go back to this practice even though it is quite a distance from house. It is definitely worth the drive.

While it is a bad day when one has to have a root canal, a trip to see Dr. Yoon and his staff make it almost enjoyable. The staff is friendly, professional and personable. Dr. Yoon is the same. There was NO pain involved, before, during or after. Come on now, they even give you your choice of coffees and choice of music. Parking is a breeze, atmosphere is great and overall, it is no more uncomfortable than getting a haircut.

I do not relish ever having to have another, but if I do, I have no doubt I will be calling Excel. Trust me, I am an old man who was not bribed to give this review. Hell, I don't review anything, but this place so exceeded any expectations, I felt obligated.

Dr. Yoon was recommended by my dentist, Dr. Suzanne Boyle, for a root canal. Their treatment of this dental phobic was exceptional. They were very kind and compassionate, and most of all, pain free! Thank you!

I hate dental work. Hate it. It makes me a nervous wreck. The office staff was so kind and reassuring! And Dr. Yoon was great! He took the time to look at the X-rays and explain my options. He was conservative about his recommendations, not offering services that weren't needed. I appreciate that he respected my time and my expenses. They took extra care to make sure I was completely numb and checked on how I was doing throughout the procedure. I have a lot of dental work - and been traumatized, but this was a great experience!

Ok so i wasn't looking forward to having a root canal.let me just put that out there first. but i tell you, if you must, this is the place to be. OMG, the staff are the coolest, the office is chic.got that feng shui ambiance and dr. yoon rocks! trust, this is the place to get those dental nerves removed!
