Dr. Levy is the best dentist I've ever had, and he's the only dentist my family trusts to do a great job taking care of our teeth. He has been a dentist for a very long time and knows what he's doing(has a lot of experience). Safe and clean dental appointment and office. Wonderful in office experience. I can't wait for my next appointment!

Dr. Harvey Levy & Associates were very helpful with getting me scheduled as quickly as possible. Dr. Levy was very experienced and quickly and painlessly extracted two abcessed teeth. He and his assistant were very friendly and highly proficient. I look forward to future visits because of how comfortable they made me feel. I'm grateful for everything they did for me.

Absolutely horrible dental practice. They claim they provide special needs dentistry, but they really don't. In 2019, my non-verbal autistic son went in for his check-up. They found a cavity, but said they could wait to address it at the next appointment. Significantly, they had trouble taking X-rays, so just gave up and sent us on our way. How a dentist can say a cavity can wait (and its the only one) without X-rays is a mystery to me. checking to see with an attorney to see if we have a case of malpractice.
Sure sounds like it. Fast forward to 2020 and COVID hits and they stop seeing patients for six months. And when they re-open, they aren't seeing patients like my son because they take too many staff (a risk for COVID). They can only treat if it is medically-necessary. I point out that given they know he has a cavity it is and float ideas about medicating my son in advance of the visit so he can be treated by just the dentist and an assistant.
They reject these ideas, but compliment me for being such a good advocate for my son. By the following Spring, there are no COVID restrictions on dental treatment, but they still won't see my son. They'll only take patients like him on Tuesday mornings and as they've been neglecting their special needs patients for over a year, they had a back log.
They would not not consider expanding hours for this vulnerable population. As a consequence, my son couldn't get an appointment until the fall (about two years after his cavity diagnosis) and had to have three teeth pulled. This is a BIG DEAL. He's non-verbal and has the intellectual capacity of a toddler. Dentures or appliances aren't an option.
He wouldn't understand them. We'd encounter the same issue with implants. After his teeth were removed, Dr. Levy agreed to see my son every three months to ensure he wouldn't lose any more teeth. But when I tried to get an appointment, it was eight months out. Sorry. we have no availability until then. Talk about an uncaring, unfeeling, unprofessional dentist. Today, I got a letter from them firing my son as a patient. as if we would ever return to that house of horrors again. Avoid this dentist. I'm consulting with an attorney to check my options. Don't let what happened to us happen to you.

We drove an hour and a half to have my special needs son seen here and it was worth it. Dr. Levy and his staff couldn't be nicer. The office is clean and they take every Covid precaution. They spoke TO my non-verbal son rather than over him. After the exam, made so much easier via use of a 'body hugger' device, Dr. Levy agreed to take him into surgery to properly work on his gums and teeth.
A very good experience for my son and his family. Update: One month later and they haven't called us back for surgery. It feels like we've been tricked. I called once, but they never called back. Maybe they don't really want special needs people. At least call back and say no so I can start trying to find someone else. 5 stars to 2.

Dr. Levy and his staff are top notch. Dr. Levy and was very comforting during the surgery and did a great job on our special needs child. The follow up and post op conversations and informative and helpful. They truly care about their patients and continue to follow up even after the procedure. I highly recommend the entire practice for all dental services. TW

I'm so glad I found Dr. Harvey Levy's practice upon moving to Frederick County, MD. The practice is run incredibly well: efficiently personable, caring, and professional. The hygienist covered every aspect of dental care, x rays, cleaning and polishing. The doctors are friendly and thorough. They found issues my previous dentist never addressed. The covid protocols are easy to navigate and don't take extra time.
They even gave me great referrals to orthodontists for my kids. A full-service, stay-with-this-group, so-glad-I-found-them kind of practice! You'll feel welcomed and cared for the moment you step through the door.
