The reaction most people have when thinking, looking, or getting ready to go to the dentist is fear. At Pearly White Smiles Dr. Julia Shalit is changing how dentistry is preformed in the Indianapolis and Fishers area. This is a new age in dentistry which requires people's feelings, thoughts, and opinions to be weighted.

I absolutely love Pure Zen Dentistry! Marcy and the whole staff are the best! I have been with them since 2013. Even when I finished school and traveled all over the country for work, I would use my flight benefits to fly back to Indy for every appt. So naturally when I had kids I brought them here also. As a single mother I've really appreciated how they've handled my visits with 2 toddlers in tow and got all of our cleanings consistently done in one visit.
The funny stories I could tell you as they've adapted to me transitioning from a young adult to now a mother. I feel like I've literally grown up with them. I wish I could give them 100 stars. I now live in Indy full-time and you'll never catch me going to any other dentistry!

I LOVE Pure Zen Dentistry. Kristin is amazing. I go every 6 months and she makes sure to accommodate my need for a late appointment time. I've had a chip repaired also and the people who worked with me on that were also amazing. And, there is a year's warranty. If the filling comes off, they replace it at no cost. The office is clean, pleasant and everyone is friendly.

I went here for a dental examination and ended up having vivera (Invisalign) for my slightly crooked bottom row. I had braces in my youth and my bottom retainer fell off. The Invisalign wasn't done correctly, which I mentioned, and they denied all wrongdoing and suggested I have botox to fix their mistake. I told them I wasn't happy with the results but they said I couldn't leave without signing the waiver.
Before having the Invisalign, I had a gum graft performed. The (traveling) periodontist ended up using a filling instead of the cadaver tissue and the tissue from the roof of my mouth. NO ONE told me this. I had to find out from another dentist YEARS later. I would NEVER recommend this place. The facility is beautiful but the services are absolutely abhorrent. I hope this post helps anyone who is unsure about this practice. Please do your research!

I would absolutely recommend getting a second opinion before getting any dental work done here. Back in 2018 I had one filling done while pregnant. I was surprised I needed a filling cause I had no tooth pain but trusted the dentist. Got it filled and since then have had on and off dull tooth pain at the filling site. Was always a bit confused by this.
In 2019 I went again (probably nine months after delivering my son) for a cleaning. The dentist comes in after and sits in the corner, elbows on knees, and in a serious manner asks if I had a lot of morning sickness and throwing up while pregnant. I replied "no, why?", feeling confused. He then tells me that I have ten cavities. Ten! I My mouth dropped open as I have never in my life had that volume and my mouth was in no pain what so ever for having that many.
I ask questions, trying to understand the shadowing they (hygienist) is showing me. Well I had to get a second opinion. If I was going to have ten cavities filled it wouldn't be here because I did not like the result of the first one. In fall of 2019 I go to IU Health dental school and explain my experience and pure zen and needing a second opinion.
They recommended six fillings. Ok, and a couple watch spots but could not justify 10. Well covid hit and I never got them filled. Fast forward to now September 2021 (I still have no tooth pain from these cavities and have maintained oral hygiene) and I have found an exceptional dentist who confirmed IU health's dental school conclusion, with six fillings.
We will do four this fall and then wait till 2022 to fill the others. I've done a lot of reading and talking with dentists since this experience. There are different theories of how to approach dental care. Some dentists are more aggressive in approach, more drilling, sometimes unnecessarily. I wish I had never had this dentist fill the first "cavity" as it created more problems after then before. I would not ever recommend this dentist and if you are considering extensive dental work recommended by them please pay out and get a second opinion.

I love Pure Zen Dentistry, and especially Kristen! Amazing place. It is a light, inviting, and positive atmosphere. Extremely clean. I feel I get the best dental care here. Having been an arm-chair dental assistant in a past life, I know they are on top of everything and they all have the best arm-chair manner. Very interested in your dental care and they make sure you understand everything they find or need to talk to you about. Highly recommend Pure Zen Dentistry.

The office is very clean and very well designed. The staff was very kind and caring and had great bedside manner! My dental hygienist would always check in to see if I wanted more water to swish around and she made sure I didn't walk out of there with toothpaste all over my face. The Dentist was very kind too! I didn't have anything too crazy going on, just came in for a regular cleaning and check up. Would recommend to friends and family!

I moved last year and it's a 40 minute drive to North Meridian from where I live and work now. Fortunately, I don't have any serious dentals issues so I only see the dentist for about 5 minutes. I go back because of the hygienist. Thorough. Personable. Takes great care to do the "job" right. Plus, they never tried to sell me on anything. When I first moved back to Indy I went through three different dentists before I landed on Pure Zen. Highly recommend.

Dr. Krithika Rajkumarrecently extracted all four wisdom teethe for our 22 year old son. As he has crossed into the age where he does health care visits without mom, and lives away at Purdue, I had to reach out to learn as much as I felt I needed to learn about this fairly significant procedure. Dr. Krithika and the staff were incredibly patient and informative. The procedure went amazingly well with minimal discomfort or downtime for our son. Thank you team Pure Zen - highly recommend this group!

Highly recommend Dr. Hein - he and Angelique have been providing me the best service for the past two years. Office is clean and well designed. Staff is helpful and friendly. And this office is very tech-forward. You can schedule & cancel appts online and they are very flexible and understanding of changes when needed. Fairly priced and extremely knowledgeable.

If you're someone who is nervous about going to the dentist or wants your treatment plan explained to you in terms you understand, STAY AWAY from Pure Zen Dentistry and Dr. Brooke Adler. I am absolutely. disgusted in the mistreatment of this facility to their patients. The unprofessionalism and pettiness are the likes of which I have never seen from a place that thinks so highly of themselves.
The egos both the Dentist (Dr. Brooke Adler) and the office manager are completely out of control which is remarkably apparent in their rude behavior to new patients. A dear friend of mine left this place IN TEARS after being refused regularly scheduled treatment. Apparently, Dr. Adler's ego is so.

Pure Zen Dentistry in Indianapolis was the worst dental experience of my life. Waited a month for a procedure to correct a prior dentist's work as a new patient before my insurance ran out, and even called a second time to confirm they had scheduled enough time for the fillings. Took the day off work, but after less than 5 mins with Dr. Brooke. Adler (where I asked a few questions about her treatment plan because I was nervous after having issues with that tooth from my last dentist), she refused to treat me.
She also refused to tell me that she wouldn't be treating me, instead telling me I need to speak with her office manager and refusing to answer my questions about why we were leaving the.
