Dr. Shimanovsky is great. She is a kind, caring and knowledgeable master of her craft. I had an old composite filling replaced today. The procedure was quick and painless.

I have experienced life altering symptoms from mercury toxicity due to my amalgams being disturbed with no safety measures in place a few years ago. I finally decided to get the rest of them SAFELY removed. It has been a big process and Dr. Shimanovsky and Kim have been SO amazing! The protocol to protect me from more exposure is one thing, but the care and concern that goes with it has been wonderful. I am so excited to say I have zero amalgam left in my mouth as of yesterday and look forward to entering my detox journey!

I went to AAdvanced Dental for the first time because I was looking for a holistic dentist. What a pleasant experience this was for me. Teeth are super clean now, they spent more than an hour doing this. Very detail oriented. The treatment plan for cosmetics and some crown replacements seems reasonable and I found my new home!

After about 14 years of dental work on 5-6 family members, it is like having your friends care for your family in all of the caring ways. As far as professionalism, they communicate well, provide an orderly clean shop, and are always helpful in navigating the business. I appreciate the willingness to work at healthy methods of dentistry.

I came in as a new patient for a teeth cleaning and choose this place because it is advertised as a "holistic" dental office. While I'm getting my teeth cleaned, sitting 10 feet away from me in the same room, is another patient getting mercury amalgams removed from their mouth. The whole reason I choose this office was to avoid chemicals and toxins, not to be exposed to mercury vapors while I'm getting my teeth cleaned.

The only good part of my experience here was that the dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth was gentle and kind. But she told me that I had one tooth that needed a deep cleaning, but she wouldn't do it that day because it would cost an additional $300. When I set up my appointment I asked for them to take the minimum number of x-rays and sent over the x-rays from my previous dentist.

They charged my insurance $453 for a new patient visit, 6 x-rays, and teeth cleaning. My insurance paid $240, leaving me with a bill for $213. Which is more than the $200 new patient (without insurance) special they offer. So, I would have been better off not even using dental insurance to pay for my visit.

I have been to see six different dentists in my lifetime, and know I am in great hands with AAdvanced Dental for nine years since 2012. She finds things others miss. It is not a matter of being too thorough, if there is such a thing, but simply of seeing what is there. The way I felt told me she was right and the other guy wrong. She is openminded to both old and new cutting-edge science and is able to work with the patient, not just for or on the patient.

They do good work at AAdvanced Dental. They safely removed and replaced all my mercury amalgam fillings, pulled a failed root canal and put a bridge in there, and are now patiently holding off on some treatments as I approach a wise traditions diet. (It seems the vegetarian one did not serve my teeth well.) And to top it off, I have never experienced such a lack of pain in dental surgery. Truly impressive.

The only dentist I will ever go to. Dr Shimanovsky is the best! The team at AAdvanced dental go above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable and your smile is beautiful! I cannot recommend them enough Thank you Dr Shimanovsky and Kim And Kim you guys rock! And I feel great about my smile again!

Dr. Shim performed substandard dentistry and then charged to fix her own mistakes. Please see the picture of the poorly designed filling that she made. It failed in six months. That is only one example of the poor dentistry that she performed while I was under her care. She fooled me into thinking she was a good dentist with her aadvanced social skills.

She is not. But she is good at shifting the blame away from herself. Several other dentists that have seen her substandard work attest to the fact that she made serious mistakes when she designed and installed several onlays and fillings in my mouth.

This dentist is BY FAR the best dentist I have been to in my entire life! : its true! I am nearly 60 and the dentist these days do NOT measure up to this very kind lady! She got me in right away with an emergency that another dentist caused. Everything she has done in my mouth has been TOP quality! I am HONESTLY impressed! The office is always VERY clean and neat! And finally the people working there are over the top nice and always helpful! Also she take all kinds of insurance as well!

Dr. Shimanovsky has been my dentist for years. I found her after receiving a dreadful diagnosis from a previous dentist. She has single handedly given me my smile back. Her and her staff has helped me overcome incredible dental anxiety. It wasn't till I met her that I was able to get regular dental checkups. Yesterday, I was riding the spring water corridor on my bike when I decided to scoop up a bit of pavement with my chin and mouth. Needless to say, I broke a tooth.

In a panic, I called A Advanced Dental in Oregon City. Kim answered and I gushed my experience over the phone. Kim calmly, as she always is, said that I would be taken care of and do not worry. Dr Shimanovsky got on the phone with me and very quickly came up with a basic plan, provided me a ton of reassurance, and an appointment for today. I showed up to the appointment.

The doctor saw me right away. Quickly and confidently repaired my tooth good as new. I was so relieved and so incredibly grateful. I always new I had the best dentist but that confidence has increased tenfold. Thank you so much!

Had another great experience at the dentist (you don't hear that everyday)! =) Friendly staff and Dr. Shimanovsky is a true professional and knowledgeable! She's effective at communicating the going's on of your teeth, gums, etc. in a way you can understand. My children also said they had a great experience. Everyone was kind, helpful and professional. They use current technology which is important when it comes to our health. Thanks Dr. Shimanovsky and staff! We will be back.

Well, it was easy to get an appointment and we were the only ones there (which most dental offices are booming). The photos they did were great however, we transferred over our images from another dental office and when we went in they did more imaging. We told them we did not want any that would not be covered under our dental plan and they still the extra's on my husband and then we got a bill for that.

We were not happy at all. When we called, they said they would submit it again but we still got billed for it. They also cost a whole lot more than other dental offices. Needless to say, we transferred back to our old dental office and would rather do the drive there.

If you're on Google looking for the best dentist in the Portland area. congratulations, your search is complete. Dr. Shimanovsky is, hands down, the best dentists I've ever had. She really takes the time to explain to you what's going on, and it feels like she keeps up to date on the most current knowledge in the field of dentistry. The entire staff is friendly, welcoming, and take the time to explain things in thorough detail. Galina made getting my teeth cleaned actually enjoyable. Kim at the front desk might just be one the most helpful people I've ever met.

Their office is welcoming, clean, and well organized. A friend of mine recommended Dr. Shimanovsky and I'm SO glad they did! She took the time to connect with me like a real person and left me feeling more well informed than I'd ever been about my oral health. All of the advice she gave me kept in mind my budget and my insurance plan coverage. No surprise bills, she explains your options first and unlike some dentists, doesn't push for some advanced junk ($$$$) procedures that I didn't need. Thanks Dr. Shimanovsky & staff for rocking it!

Everyone at AAdvanced dental was very kind and helpful when my daughter and I went in for our appointments. We both had to come back to get cavities filled because we hadn't been to the dentist in years. Dr. Shimanovsky was able to give me mine without numbing the tooth, and there was no pain. I appreciated that she was extra sensitive to my anxiety about getting the fillings, and she talked me through the whole process. My daughter (10) needed a shot, but they kept her in good spirits the whole time. I've already recommended this dentist office to friends.

I went for a cleaning and a filling at AAdvanced Dental a week ago, and was highly impressed by Dr Shimanovsky. She did good work and was both friendly and enjoyable so far as going to the dentist goes -- few people enjoy being in a dentist chair. The support staff was also welcoming and went out of their way to help with paperwork and scheduling. I highly recommend AAdvanced Dental.

Very comfortable atmosphere and friendly, professional staff. I have never had a problem with scheduling and the dental work has been exceptional. They are also very up front with costs and are very good about reminders. Im a bit stunned about the reviews from others, but I suppose that's why reviews are what they are. Im not a fan of dentists (not that many enjoy having their teeth scraped at), but this experience has been one of the best. I continue to drive from Beaverton as I don't want to leave these guys.

One of the worst dental experiences I've ever had. They drilled and filled the wrong tooth and tried to lie and cover it up. Please avoid this office and seek out a different dentist. I've never experienced anything more unprofessional in my whole life.

I recently went here as a new patient. This place is probably the best dental office I have ever been to. The services are great and the people are friendly. There is just one little negative part. My paperwork was "lost" in the mail (the dental office claims), so I had to go to the office to get new paperwork. Other than this, I highly recommend this dental office.

Really nice people, for the most part, that's the only nice thing I can say. The office staff is ragingly incompetent. Twice they scheduled me on days the doctor wasn't going to be there. The second time they didn't even call me to tell me, but e-mailed me, asking me to call them? What? The office visit took twice as long as it should, due to overscheduling.

I was sitting there waiting for most of the two hours I was there. Then, after, when I called and asked them to mail me my x-rays, confirming my mailing address, they e-mailed them to me. I'm only grateful I didn't pay much, since I went there on a Groupon. I wouldn't go back, even with a discount. Places like this just don't treat their clients with respect. The whole thing is just irritating. I was treated better at the county low-income clinic!
