Services
Endodontists are dentists who specialize in maintaining teeth through endodontic therapy procedures, involving the soft inner tissue of the teeth, called the pulp. The word "endodontic" comes from "endo" meaning inside and "odont" meaning tooth. Like many medical terms, it's Greek. All dentists are trained in diagnosis and endodontic therapy, however, some teeth can be especially difficult to diagnose and treat.
At Escondido Endodontics we have always practiced with a patient-centered philosophy. Your needs are always put first. Dr. Hanlon will thoroughly explain his findings and make recommendations that are in your best interest. We are dedicated to delivering endodontic treatment at the highest level. After thoroughly evaluating your particular situation, if we feel that you would be better served with either no endodontic therapy or an alternative treatment, we will clearly and professionally inform you of your options.
Escondido Endodontics is located at 488 E. Valley Parkway on the third floor of the Valley Parkway Health Center. This four-story building with green glass windows is located at the corner of East Valley Parkway and Hickory Street directly across from the Palomar Medical Center. There is ample patient parking behind the building.

This is my second root canal in 3 weeks. The first one I had done at *another endodontist* and it was an hour of pure mental/physical trauma. I scheduled my second with Escondido Endo and am SO THANKFUL! The whole experience, start to finish- including the multiple calls I made for advice before I even got to the office- was so kind, informative, professional, and dare I say pleasant?! Dr. Hanlon and his staff are awesome. I'm not saying I wish I needed another root canal, but if I did, I would happily do the 35 minute drive to Escondido to watch some HGTV and relax with them!

I do not normally write reviews but thought I should probably write one! I had a root canal done by him on a back molar around 9 years ago when I was only 12. I just had to go back in to get the crown fixed on the tooth a couple weeks ago. The dentist said that it was one of the most well done root canals he has ever seen! Seriously made me so happy to hear that after almost 10 years, it still looks good! So grateful I went to Dr. Hanlon.

Dr Hanlon is the best! I have to start this with "unfortunately, " but no one likes root canals. Unfortunately, I have had more than my share of root canals. I have had three with Dr Hanlon at Escondido Endodontics. I won't go anywhere else any more. The people at EE are caring, thoughtful, well experienced, professional, and personable. From reception to check out, I could not ask for a better experience, especially considering there is nothing about having a root canal that is fun. Dr Hanlon is clear with me each time about what I will experience during any procedure.
He tells me what he is doing, and what to expect for my recovery. His procedures and techniques are precise and gentle. I could not ask for more from any dental or medical professional. Should you need any type of endodontic service/procedure, go directly to Escondido Endodontics and Dr Hanlon.

I was on vacation when I had a dental emergency. I was referred to Dr. Hanlon by another dental office and I am so thankful they did! They were able to get me in the same day, the staff was very pleasant and caring, and Dr. Hanlon was simply amazing! He explained everything in detail, was gentle with the dental procedure (root canal), and was very compassionate! I am extremely nervous about going to the dentist but I wouldn't hesitate to go back to him for any dental work! I highly recommend Dr. Hanlon without hesitation!

Dr. Hanlon did my root canal and I have nothing but praise for him and the staff. This is a great office! I was really apprehensive about getting a root canal because I've heard the horror stories. Needless to say I was afraid. No need for fear however. When I say it was painless, I mean completely pain-free! No one wants to get a root canal, but if you must, this is the place to go.

I went here for a root canal and it was a great experience. The check in was painless, and all the assistants were very nice. You can watch TV while they work on you. The reason I am going to give them 5 stars is because I had zero pain after my root canal and I mean zero. zero Swelling as well. The whole thing from check in to check out was probably one and half hours.
Right after they told me to take some ibuprofen but by the time the drugs wore off later in the day I felt nothing. Of course your mileage may vary, and it will probably also depend on the type and stage of your tooth problem, but I personally had an excellent experience. Dr. Jerome was the one who saw me.
