Elizabeth Patino

I went to Dr. Patino office back in 2018 for my chipped tooth and a general teeth cleaning. I had paid for my services on the same day which was more than $1000. Four years later, I see a collection on my credit report that I owe them $104. This past four years I had never received any bill regarding this charge from her office or the collection agency until I saw my credit report had decreased by 40 points.

This office has caused me a tremendous headache after four years for a charge that I had no idea about. This show they have a very bad management and they charge people whatever they want whenever they want without notifying their patients. I will never go back to Dr. Patino and suggest to people that do go to check what they are paying for at the time of service so this will not happen to them. Always ask for a receipt and a summary of the services you receive from them.

Dr Patina took my husband, Bruce in as an emergency patient and we were very much impressed with her staff, and their professionalism. She explained the procedure to him. She was prompt and she keeps a tight schedule. We are grateful and highly recommend Dr. Patina as a dentist.

Dr. Elizabeth Patino and her staff are amazing! I highly recommend her practice! They are professional and so welcoming. I appreciate her clean environment, attentiveness to detail, gentle and thorough mouth care and cleaning. Dr Patino is very knowledgeable about oral health and how it pertains to our overall health. I have been a patient of Dr Patino's for over 12 years. I recommend her to all my friends and family. As soon as my little one is old enough for her first dentist trip I'm excited for her to meet and be a patient of Dr Patino's.

Dr. Patino is very caring. She includes me, and explains the treatment, every step of the way. The communication and the dental care are the best I have ever received.

Dr. Patino is amazing. Her whole office is welcoming and friendly, and she has been great with my entire family. She is especially great with children, and has made all three of my kids feel comfortable going to the dentist. They are convenient, happy to work around my schedule, and text reminders of upcoming appointment. I cannot say enough good things about them.

If tipping your dentist was a thing, Dr. Patino would make bank. I feel as though I am in the hands of an artist when she is working on my teeth. Her work is gold, and she and her team are on the cutting edge of technology which makes everything from appointments to time in the chair seamless and painless. I cant recommend her highly enough.

Dr. Patino is amazing! I do not have dental insurance, so cost was a large factor when I was looking for a dentist. Compared to many of the other dentists in Gainesville, she is much more reasonably priced. However, even if I found cheaper I would never go somewhere else. She is extremely thorough and caring. I greatly appreciate when a dentist has honesty.

A little over a year ago I saw another Gainesville dentist who I will not name as they have since gotten out of general dentistry and gone entirely to orthodontics. They told me a list of what all I needed but it was too much for me to pay and I was about to leave the country for an extended period of time. When I asked Dr. Patino about what I was told I needed, she said that I didn't need any of those! I am glad she has the integrity to not make money off of people who trust what doctors tell them. And glad I didn't pay that other dentist for work I didn't need.

Dr. Patino is great. She's especially wonderful with my kids, who are 7 and 5. She always remembers each patient and what happened last time. She has a wonderful bedside manner and is great as a dentist. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Dr. Patino is the best dentist I have ever been to. She always take the time to clean my teeth herself (most dentists have their hygienist do that) and does a full inspection of my mouth to ensure my health. She is so kind and patient and her staff is so professional and polite. I seriously cannot recommend her enough!

If I could give Dr. Patino unlimited stars I would! I currently live in Boston and I am searching online for a new dentist, but all I can think about is how I wish I could be a rich and fancy lady and fly in to Gainesville just to visit her! I absolutely hate the dentist probably more than most and my visits to Dr. Patino were absolutely painless.

She understood that I was incredibly nervous and sensitive to pain and was able to give me some numbing medication (I don't know the term for it!) while she worked. I have never, ever felt comfortable in the dentist's office until her, so this was entirely a new experience for me. She does wonderful work and not to mention is just a wonderful person. Can't recommend enough.

I have had the opportunity to work with Doctor Patino. She does amazing work and educates patients every step of the way. Preventative work starts with great home care as well as a great dentistry. I would recommend her to treat all of my dental needs. You will never feel rushed, she is very good at addressing patient needs and concerns, and the office is very clean and comfortable.

UPDATE: I will leave my initial review below, because I still believe Dr. Patino is a GREAT dentist. Unfortunately I have struggled with the business side of the practice: 1. I have repeatedly been asked to pay copays when I do not have copays because I carry TWO dental policies. 2. I was charged $325 for a procedure and then received an EOB that stated I should have paid $121.

When I asked the office manager about this I was told 1. that a procedure not covered by insurance was done that day (I never would have agreed to that) and that the amount of that procedure added to the $121 I paid was "pretty close" (those were his exact words) to $325. (There was a difference of $47 to my disadvantage). 3. I was asked to pay for a follow up visit when I had to go in due to EXTREME pain after the procedure.

The reason I was in pain is that the dentist left a sliver of bone behind and it was working it's way out. 1. I understand that no one is perfect, and I DO believe Dr. Patino is a great dentist, but to be charged for a visit that was necessary due to an error on the dentist's part make no sense to me. I have tried to be direct about my concerns and the office manager does not want to take responsibility for any of this.

I waited two weeks from my last email to him before changing my YELP review in order to give him time to take responsibility. I do not know if Dr. Patino is aware of all of this. INTIAL REVIEW: Dr. Patino is OUTSTANDING! Dr. Patino's initial exam was lengthy and thorough. Yesterday I had my first dental procedure done by her. I experienced minimal discomfort during.

This morning I have NO pain or discomfort. Everything that she and her dental staff does is explained step by step. I am so grateful to have found a dentist that I trust and does great work!

I have been to several dentist offices. I sincerely love this place! Dr. Patino is super nice and she genuinely loves her job. She knows I hate getting novocaine and she always numbs the area first so I won't feel her give me the novocaine. Her secretary and dental hygienist are all super friendly as well. Dr. Patino explains things to me before she does things because she knows I like to know what is going on.

Excellent service, prices, and gentle hands. Dr Patino and her staff are really great and I recommend them without reservation. They will explain EVERYTHING to you and allow you to weigh your options. This dental office is the joint and I wish more dentists were like her.

This is a duplicate entry, as she is listed twice on Yelp, but I don't mind reiterating. I pay out of pocket to see her because she is amazing. She really takes the time necessary to see you, and answers all questions very thoroughly. All of her staff is extremely nice and accommodating, too. Highly recommended!

Dr. Patino is the best dentist in Gainesville, excellent work, able to talk to doctor without feeling rush to leave, modern, clean, and friendly staff. Great location and flexible hours make my appointments easy.
