Dr. Borgman is a great professional, a role model in her field. I've gone to her for numerous years and trust her with my dental health. She is trained, very intelligent & so personable. Dr. Borgman is a great example to her field, modest yet an excellent dentist. She and her husband are involved in something similar to Doctors without Borders, giving of their time, talents by going and serving for free to people that can never re-pay them for what they do for them.On top of that Dr. Borgman also gives back by training other dental students in her office.

Our practice is a small, private dental practice with a warm, friendly atmosphere that we have been told puts patients at ease. You won't find a crowded waiting room or have trouble scheduling timely appointments. Dr. Borgman provides dental services free of charge to people in third world countries who can't afford dental care.

We were new to the area and had to find a dentist for my daughter. It was such great experience that when it came time for myself to update my dentist I didn't hesitate to also join the practice! The office is friendly and inviting. I highly recommend Dr. Borgman, as a very fearful patient she is calm, understanding and moves slowly to access your comfort level.

We have known Dr. Borgman for many years and her kindness and skill as a dentist is second to none. My whole family loves the way she treats them especially the kids who hated going to the dentist before. She also has the latest technology and machines that will make sure everything is made precisely and quickly. Oh my gosh! I got my two front teeth for Christmas! Due to a childhood Orthodontist's idea of what my upper front teeth should look like - filed across straight - I have looked like I have Dracula fangs with my canines because they were much longer on the sides than my front teeth - it has made me insecure even though folks would say they like my smile. I've been told by many the bottom edge of the upper teeth of a smile should follow the graceful curve of the bottom lip when smiling.

I used to hate going to the dentist. The experiences I used to have were painful and unpleasant. BUT, since I started seeing Dr. Borgman 15 years ago, I am so relaxed during visits that I can honestly fall asleep in her chair. The whole staff is gentle, caring, and professional. I won't go anywhere else. They are stuck with me for life. :o

I met Dr. Borgman through the Costa Mesa Chamber of Commerce. She is very knowledgable and answered all of my dentistry questions. I have visited a few times for cleanings and each time has been a great experience. A few months back we discussed my snoring problem and she suggested the TAP 3 Elite. I came in for a consultation. I decided it was something I wanted to try. Unfortunately. my insurance does not cover this expense but I was desperate to stop snoring. I have been using it for months and no snoring. It is very expensive but worth every penny.

Dr. Borgman is an excellent dentist. She does wonderful quality work and is as friendly as can be. I had a crown done by her and the work was impeccable. She is patient, caring, and explains everything very well. She has never tried to influence me to get anything I didn't need. Her hygienist and staff are great too!

I am not Yelp reviewer! But I felt compelled to write one on behalf of Dr. Borgman and her staff. From the very first phone call to her office, I felt at ease with their courteous and helpful office staff. I was a bit nervous switching to a new dentist due to insurance and I was looking for simply a trust worthy and experienced dentist. What a relief to find Dr. Borgman!
As in the other reviews, she is patient in explaining options, listens to concerns and questions, and makes you feel at ease while in the chair! My hygienist was equally thorough and very knowledgable and talked with me as if we had known each other. I am very grateful to have found such a wonderful dental office. I would certainly recommend this staff to anyone looking to find a new dentist. In fact, my husband will also be a new patient very soon. It is rare to find a doctor with such caring bed side manner. Thank you!

Dr. Borgman is Awesome! She is very courteous and caring. She takes time to listen, understand and work with you on your particular dental issue. I was very surprised at how much she really cares, she is also very patient and takes her time! Her staff is awesome too, very courteous and welcoming, I was very satisfied!

Stay Away From Dr Borgman $$$$$ I went to Alyssa Borgman, DDS for a tooth extraction. While undergoing the extraction, she asked if I wanted a bone graft. I asked how much. Her assistant called Cigna and Dr Borgman told me that my portion would only be $80. I agreed to the $80. I have now been billed over $400 by Dr Borgman and they are taking me to collection. She is a rip-off dentist and not a good one at that. Stay away from her.

Like Brittany below, I have to report a pretty poor experience about a year ago. I was very mad at the time but decided to let time pass to see how felt on reflection. On reflection, and after seeing Brittany's comments, I feel I should share that I had a similar experience of going in for an initial exam and immediately being told significant work was needed/recommended (e.g. cavities/ replacement filings).
I chose to seek a second opinion (and Dr. Borgman's office was less than gracious in facilitating this) and was advised that no work was needed --- and given that a year has passed and still no work was needed (I just came from an exam) I have to conclude the second dentist was correct.

I am so grateful to find a dentist I can trust! Dr. Borgman is very thorough, explains all of your options, and doesn't try to upsell you. It's so great to find a dentist that takes care of you as a patient instead of trying to get you to buy dental care that you don't need. Her staff is helpful and professional- I really am happy with my experiences there.
My husband also goes to her now. It seems the thousands of dollars of work his last dentist deemed necessary wasn't really needed once we got a second opinion here. I wish all dentists were as honest as Dr. Borgman.

I'm not here to ruin anyone's business. FYI Just trying to be a public service;) Pros: You can tell customer services is important to her Friendly Timely Cons:Just feel she tries to up-sell you (invisalign) when no dentist before has ever suggested this to me. My husband and I had to return 2+ time after our first fillings/cleanings because of toothpain.
She is easily agitated with her friendly staff. It is really uncomfortable. She grabs tools out of their hands in frustration or talks to them like they are the scum of the earth. Sent me a $90 bill that has no explanation. Her staff were not able to tell me what the charges were for. They are trying to charge me $25 for a "broken appointment" when I spoke with their staff the day before my appt letting them know that I had lost my job and no longer had insurance.

I used to volunteer for Dr. Borgman and I have only good things to say about her and her staff. It is a very clean and friendly office and she is a dentist you can trust. Dr. Borgman will give you her honest opinion of what is best for you. I have never seen her cut corners or try to sell things. She is a great dentist that provides great dentistry and I would highly recommend going to her.
