I was very pleased with how quickly they were able to make me an appointment for me due to the emergency I was having. It was such a relief to have received all that attention and care while I was in so much pain. That meant the world to me.

This has been my first dentist/ortho place, once I got my own insurance plan when I turned 26 and moved to Costa Mesa 2 years ago. The location is easy to get to and the atmosphere of the office is so warm and inviting. It's definitely because of the people. Everyone who works here has been so friendly and accomodating. Starting with the front desk, the ladies there are very hospitable, especially Denisse and DeeDee.

They assist me with all my insurance/payment questions and appointment scheduling. Vanessa and Eric are always very helpful and knowledgeable in their fields and always take the time to answer any questions I have, make me feel comfortable, or even take a step further to give me any tips regarding my dental health. They always take the extra step to answer all my questions or even fill me in when I look lost or I don't understand. Dr. Adames herself is super amiable and very good at what she does.

From x-rays, teeth extractions, cleanings, braces, invisalign, and more, Newport Smiles can do (or has) it all! I an grateful to have chosen this place as my general dentist and orthodontist.

Amazing! Staff is super friendly and make sure to take very good care of you. I got my cleaning today and they always exceed my expectations. Overall, if you are looking for a calm environment and amazing service I always recommend Newport Smiles Dental Spa. They are amazing!

I can honestly say I have never had a more positive experience in any medical setting, let alone at a dentist! Dr. Renata Adames is so friendly and knowledgeable, and there two assistants Erik and Vanessa that are amazing they makes you feel so comfortable. I have been recommending this dentist to everyone I meet also my family and friends. also the front desk greets you with a smile and makes you feel right at home and u have nothing to worry about. I had my first visit for a cleaning yesterday and I must say I was pleasantly impressed. Everyone was very friendly and the Dentist was knowledgeable. The pricing is affordable and she didn't try to upscale me.

Came in to get a tooth pulled out and was asking the girl assistant me about what I wanted to be done and another older lady interrupted me by giving me attitude about my insurance like if my bill was going to come out of her pocket. Ridiculous! Done with this place. Many more dental offices with better educated employees in the area.

I totally Recommend this Dental clinic. I got a Cleaning and the Doctor was so professional she told me about some cavities and some treatments. The staff was extra mile. Also they give me the option for implants and payments. Thank you Doctor Renne

Called in as a new patient and they immediately scheduled me for later in the week. I got a call back and they said that they were not going to be accepting my insurance in 30 days so they wouldn't be able to promise a follow up appointment if they found anything. I just wanted a basic cleaning and told them not being able to follow up wouldn't be an issue.

She then decided to tell me that they aren't accepting new patients at the moment, after they were more than happy to schedule me before they found out who my provider was. I understand that they don't want to commit to all the paper work for a new patient but that doesn't sound like a good customer service oriented location.

I called Dr. Renata Adames for a chipped tooth. Before I go any further a bit of history. We have known Dr. Adames for over 15yrs. She was my dentist when she was in Santa Maria. When she moved to Newport I drove the 3.5hrs for her to work on my teeth. Now we live in Moreno Valley so no more 3.5hr drive. Dr. Adames knowing I dont do well with dentist.

The 1st time she treated me was the 1st time anyone explainded what they was going to do. Now back to my worse then I thought chipped tooth. She got me in today and was welcomed by front staff. She repaired my 2 teeth and staff was very helpful and friendly. If your looking for that 1 special dentist that well take the time to explain what's going on and how to fix it then you need to call her office right away. Thank you all for today. For us cry baby's she well take good care of us and you. Give the office a call.dont wait.,.

I rarely leave negative reviews but I've done so here after a history of incredibly rude and poor (and painful) service. There are far better dental offices out there.

I've been a patient at this office for a long time, even before the change of owner. It's such a disappointment to see the front office being handled the way it is now by the new front staff GIGI. I have never dealt with someone with such a rude attitude and so unprofessional, I can see why the last good review was 3 months ago since that's about the last time I saw the last two girls working here. GIGI seems money hungry and doesn't respect contracts that were done before she arrived and it's not ok.

I encourage anyone else that is experience this to speak up because the way she's running this office is not ok. PS the website is so inaccurate with the pictures of the staff most of those lovely girls aren't working there anymore, only Lisa which she's great/friendly and a trooper for sticking around.

I switched dentists because my insurance changed. I selected a place that was close to my home, but I am normally very picky and wasn't able to find a recommendation in my area. For context, I have been doing my 6-month cleanings for as long as I have had teeth. My only major dental work was your typical orthodontia and wisdom teeth removal. I've never had a cavity and still have my molar sealants in place.

I have never been more disappointed in a dental office. After getting my x-rays, the dentist came over to do the exam and told me I had 8 cavities and a missing filling. I explained that I had never had a filling and she tried to convince me that I simply must not have remembered getting one put in. She then quoted me for a $600 visit to do the "cavities" and some laser cleaning.

The entire visit felt like a sham, but the icing on the cake was when I was asked to sit in the dental chair for an hour while the hygienists worked with the 2 other patients in the office. I ended up leaving before my cleaning and will not be returning. Please get a second opinion when they try to explain that you suddenly have multiple dental issues. I just visited my old dentist, paid out of pocket, and was assured that I have no issues. He apologized for the dentists that take advantage of patients.

I am extremely impressed with the amazing service Dr. Renata has given to me today. She has saved the longevity of my teeth. I have spent years seeing a dentist in my neighborhood, and he did not notify me that I had periodontal disease. Once I switched to Renata, she took care of me completely. I highly recommend Dr. Renata to anyone that wants to have very healthy teeth. She will be super honest with you and will take care of you like family!:

I can't begin to tell you enough how great Newport Smiles is. I've been a patient of Renata Adames for about 5 years now and will never switch to a new dentist. Not only is she fantastic, but her whole staff is wonderful. I feel taken care of at all times and even in emergency situations, she always makes a way to fit me in her busy schedule. In terms of the work she does, it's top-notch. Her technique in the way she gives numbing shots makes it near painless. Don't hesitate to make an appointment. A++++

My regular dentist found me Dr. Adames bc she is trained in nitrous oxide sedation and I had a complex cavity that needed filling. Just FYI, Denti-Cal / Medi-Cal now covers nitrous sedation as of Jan 2020 - Dr. Adames participates in both. I have physical reason for needing sedation but it's helpful to know for those that suffer dental anxiety. I'm happy to have found her! Edited to add: I've been seeing Dr. Adames for almost a year (all throughout COVID) and I'm still pleased as ever.

I highly recommend the add-on services to your cleaning: The Cavitron (I think it's for scaling/deep cleaning) and the laser. It's the first time I ever left a routine cleaning where my teeth with noticeably whiter.

Dr. Adames has been my dentist for all of my life. Fair pricing, great work, and excellent service is her MO. Conveniently located in the heart of Costa Mesa. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an honest dentist. Over the years I've had a few fillings and a crown done with her. They were quick and painless. I'm hoping to come in soon to have my wisdom teeth removed. Keep up the great work!

Newport Smiles Dental Spa is that rarity of a dental business- friendly, professional, and relatively painless. I've been going there for the last five years and my experience has always been positive. The staff is top-notch, the work is first-rate and priced fairly, and Doctor Adames knows her stuff. From cleanings to crowns, she and her staff provide long-term dental health.

My whole family comes to Newport Smiles and we're always so well taken care of! Dr. Adames is very professional and her work is impeccable. The office is in an easily accessible location in Costa Mesa and appointments are always on time. My family drives all the way from Riverside to see her and it is worth it every time!

I went in for a cavity I knew I had but I had postponed treatment forever because I hate going to the dentist. Dr. Adames totally put me at ease, she took X-rays and showed me I had four cavities not just one! Then my anxiety came back and she reassured me again, I felt she was very professional and knew what she was doing. She numbed three quadrants of my mouth so that at least I could chew with one side of my mouth and then had me come back another time to do the last cavity.

She never pressured me to do it all at once and she didn't upsell me at all. She was kind, patient and overall, she knows her stuff! That's what made me really feel better. I would recommend her to everyone. I sent my kids to her now and they don't even need me in the room with them.

Renata Adames should be under investigation for fraud and for maliciously and falsely taking advantage of patients. I have had healthy teeth my entire life, and this dentist told me to my face that I had 7 cavities and demanded that I schedule an appointment to return to the dental office for multiple fillings and crowns. When I requested copies of my records, she refused, which led to a report filed with the California Dental Association. Trusting my intuition, I went to another dentist who took x-rays and after a thorough examination concluded that I had absolutely zero cavities and was need of absolutely no dental work.

She sent me a copy of the record, but the other dentist told me that those records "are not even worth the paper they're printed on." A complaint was filed with the Better Business Bureau. This dentist has no business practicing dentistry! Please do not go here.

I have been going to Dr. Adames for over 10 years. My trust on her is incomparable. I had lots of problems on my teeth including crowns, feeling, veneers, you named! Also I have always being very nervous over dental treatment but with her knowledge, expertise and care she helps me feel better and control my anxiety. She relocated and I still follow her because she makes it worth it.

I am really happy with the high quality of treatment I receive in my mouth. During her diagnose and treatment explanations I never felt pressured on doing anything I didn't want done on my teeth. I was always offered options and time to decide how to proceed. Her prices are very fair and the staff is amazingly kind. The girls are always comforting and sometimes even funny. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an honest dentist.

This was the WORST dental experience i could ever have. VERY unprofessional. She preformed a crown on the WRONG tooth, which was next to the tooth that actually needed the crown. She refused to refund me, which is fine, because i would rather pay $10,000 to never see her face or have her work on my mouth again. Her office FORGED DOCUMENTS to prove that i consented to the work she did.

She also had EYE SURGERY the day before preforming my procedure. How she sleeps at night knowing that she cons others i do not know. She also said i needed about 5 other fillings. funny though, my new dentist only needed to do ONE filling. Don't get conned people.

Excellent dental practice. Dr Adamas works with you to determine the best treatment plan. Nothing is pushed on you. You are still in charge. She keeps dentistry professional, yet simple. I feel I'm getting the work I need. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I have recently started dental work with Dr. Adames that has included cleaning, crowns and fillings. Both she and her staff have been great -- caring, conscientious and thorough. I had been without good dental care for some time and she was highly recommended to me by my doctor. All of my work has gone great and looks great. I have now gone to this office for a year. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The Dr is the best and I have had a lot of work done. The best part was I was never in any pain the entire time I was there! I recently went back for a cleaning and then followed up with a deep bleaching. My teeth have never been better and now with the bleaching the best looking I have ever had!

If you are looking to have a great smile, get a cavity filled, or just a basic cleaning you can not go wrong with this office! Not to mention she is in a great location with an amazing view! Good luck in your practice!

Great dentist! Dr. Adames always makes you feel welcomed and easy at her office. The typical dental anxiety does not exist at that office. Very welcoming staff and great environment. Beautiful office by the water. Never thought I will enjoy going to the dentist. Thank you Dr. Adames!

I usually get nervous when going to the dentist. Dr. Adames, the new dentist at Newport Smiles, made me feel much more comfortable. The office has a trusting environment and a friendly staff. Not only that but, I had my teeth whitened & I am very happy with the results. Keep up the good work!

This place is wonderful. Dr. Adames is amazing. She pulled a wisdom tooth so fast, I barely knew it was done. Gentle and fast - yes both! The office staff is wonderful. They laugh and enjoy being there as much as helping the patient (me) distract from the horrible work being done. I'm not a fan of dental work, but it was a pleasant experience.

Dr. Adames is the best dentist that I have ever been seen and that is not a bad joke. This doctor uses the most care and love in my mouth. No pain, always accommodates my work schedule and has the most conscientious staff and assistants. I now see my dentist on a regular basis because she is the best on the planet! Chewing food is fun and enjoyable again & my smile is back!

I've been coming Newport Smiles for about 4 years. Both Dr Ellie and now Dr Renata are both amazingly detailed perfectionist at their work. I moved to San Diego 3 years ago but have continued to drive up to use them! I just got fitted for a porcelain crown, I was in and out in about an hour! Dr Renata gets 5 stars from me!
