Dr. Chong appeared to be a highly competent and caring dentist. She was thorough in her examination and communicated clearly suggestions that would improve my dental health. Frankly, my experience during my teeth cleaning fell far short of what I'm accustomed to. I was surprised to find a TV broadcasting the local news upon entering. The hygienist turned it off following my request.
I then had a series of x-rays where she placed objects in my mouth that I've never seen before. This process seemed to last forever probably because I was so uncomfortable. During the actual cleaning she placed the suction device in my mouth and at no time gave me an opportunity to close my mouth to drain the excess fluid. Ultimately, this led to water splashing on my face and dripping down my chin.
Her solution to this issue was to wipe my chin several times. When I finally began choking, I sat up and told her that I had never encountered this problem. She replied with silence. Hence, I am only giving four stars. Dr. Chong is exceptional. Hygienist, far from it.

Dr. Harvey left this practice and it has been a total nightmare since. The hygienist chipped the inside of my front tooth during a cleaning. I visited three times for it to be filled in less than a year. The front desk employees and office manager, Sherry, are incredibly rude. They continually sent me bills for services I already paid, then told me to just ignore them when I inquired.
Completely traumatizing experience. I had sent my boyfriend to Dr. Harvey as well. They also sent him bills for services already paid, multiple times. Neither of us will be returning. And we will make sure to share our experiences with others.

My family has been using Georgia Dental Center since 2016. We've only had positive experiences. Everyone from the dentists to the staff are very friendly. The hygienists do a great job and Dr. Chong is wonderful. I highly recommend Georgia Dental Center if you're looking for a dentist's office in the Decatur area.

If I could, I would give it a 0 star. I am checking back hoping there would be a change in reviews since leaving my last appointment in January 2021. New dentist. new staff. The office is nearby and I had such a great experience the previous two years. In January, after requesting to speak to someone 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment time. The lady took me back to the exam room and was rude (not empathetic) and said they were triple booked.
I asked to speak to the dentist to see if I was still moving forward with my implant that day. After waiting 15 more minutes, I was told the equipment was never ordered. I left. It was unfortunate such a professional place had apparently gotten greedy and decided to triple book appointments to increase revenue but didn't have the staff to handle it. with no regard to customer service. I can see from the recent reviews nothing has changed. I will be looking elsewhere.

Not only is the staff friendly here, they go above and beyond. JD at the front desk has a great personality. He was able to assist me in filling out the new patient paperwork as I am blind. My dental hygienist charity was not only honest, she was friendly and made sure I was comfortable throughout my dental cleaning. This place blows great expressions out of the water 1000%. Georgia Dental Center is a no nonsense business, their office is very clean and their dental work is thorough. I left their office feeling great about my smile. I highly recommend them.

Complete scam shop. They get you to come in based on a $79 new patient special. They take X-rays, tell me I have no cavity's and my teeth look good--but my gums would require a deeper cleaning than the basic. Then the scummy office manager comes in and tries to bully me into paying $1,700 for a "deep" cleaning. Yes-SEVENTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS. When I tell him no, he comes back with the hygienist to try again to get me to pay.
They refuse to touch my teeth or clean them in any way after I tirelessly refuse their $1,700. I politely ask for the basic cleaning and they tell me it's not allowed. They get you in the door with a $79 offer--only to refuse you service and try to bully you into paying more. STAY AWAY

I made my appt several weeks ago, but they called at 4:30 yesterday asking if I could come 90 minutes earlier. I rearranged my schedule to accommodate their schedule and arrived at 8:30 to an empty office. After standing in the waiting from for 10 minutes I called and a dental hygienist came out to hand me paperwork. A while later a different dental hygienist came to get me from the waiting room.
I don't know her name because she never introduced herself. The X-ray bite guard was too large for my mouth and made me gag. She tried to shove it in my mouth several times before I requested that she try a smaller version. She relented and begrudgingly went to get a smaller version that worked fine. She then did a 3D scan of my mouth. She told me my teeth "weren't too bad." And then gave her arm chair assessment of every tooth in my head and the potential problems I could have down the road with each of them.
I felt like I was at a used car lot. She then told me I needed a deeper clean- not a deep clean- some sort of intermediate. The office manager told me it would be more than $200 out of pocket after insurance. I said a regular cleaning would be fine and the hygienist was extremely condescending and rude and said that regular cleanings were for people who came to the dentist regularly.
I normally do go to the dentist every 6 months. However, in case this lady hasn't heard we're in a global pandemic! And I was in a high risk category so I was not going to put my and family's health at risk for a routine dental cleaning. After signing a stack of forms she begrudgingly gave me a lackadaisical cleaning. Finally saw the dentist nearly 2 HOURS after stepping into the office.
She was more polite than the hygienist. Took a quick look in my mouth- said my teeth looked good and I was free to go. What a frustrating morning and huge waste of time. Would not recommend.

I've been going here since my son started cutting his teeth, he's nearly 40 now. I've seen both Dr. Rafeedie and Dr. Price and I'm nearly 70! This is an exceptional practice! The other professional people are excellent as well. True the receptionist could use a little more polish in that she isn't doing me a favor when assisting me. Nonetheless, she's young and this is probably her first job. Then too, I'm sure she's only doing as she is told. Still a little more customer focus would go a very long way.

This place is very sketchy. Google their name and see if they exist because I certainly don't think so. I called desperately in a haste for tooth discomfort and got a receptionist. She asked for a credit card to hold in case of no show. Um no way. I asked to speak to someone else once I became suspicious and she refused to find any other employees.
The reviews for this place is weird. All fake generated accounts and no real experiences, all good reviews from a dentist office? No way! The website is the biggest red flag. No real pictures of clients, just stock model photos. The links are all bogus too. This place is hard to find in google maps. The male dentist seems fake. I couldn't find much of a trail on him and he looks about 70 years old. So do yourself a favor, grab yourself some oral gel and avoid this place until you find another dentist.

I visited Dr. Price and Dr. Rafeedie last week and had a wonderful dental experience from begining to end. The office appeared to be technically savvy and I liked the fact that they had digital x-rays. I was treated promptly and didn't feel like I was being "sold" on dental work. I would refer them to any of my friends.
