Mikki was born and raised in Spokane. She graduated from Ferris High School and completed the Dental Assisting course at Spokane Community College. Her career began working in this very dental practice in 1989. She has two great boys - Joey and Jake. She lives south of Spokane in Valleyford. Mikki's knowledge and her caring personality make a wining combination!

A preventive program is a cooperative effort by the patient, dentist, and dental staff to preserve the natural dentition and supporting structures by preventing the onset, progress, and recurrence of dental diseases and conditions. Preventing dental disease starts at home with good oral hygiene and a balanced diet.
A comprehensive dental exam will be performed by your dentist at your initial dental visit. Examination of diagnostic x-rays (radiographs): Essential for detection of decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss. X-rays also help determine tooth and root positions. Oral cancer screening: Evaluate the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer.

I enjoy my visits to Dr. Child's office. He and his staff are truly professionals in their business. Customer Service is the 'Best' in dentistry, and possibly a model that should be pattern by all service based businesses. A friendly, welcoming, devoted to you and your health permeates the atmosphere each time I visit or call his office. Just in for a semi-annual cleaning with x-rays and have always had a positive experience thanks to Jessica, the hygienist. I highly recommend Child Family Dentistry if looking for a Dentist and always request Jessica for you hygienist. I recommend the birthday cake teeth cleaning flavor and follow-up with the caramel flavor fluoride.

I went to Dr. Child's office in pain from a piece of a root left in my jaw after my wisdom tooth was removed several years ago. They were able to get me in quickly, diagnose the problem and removed the piece a few days later. I was so grateful! The entire staff from reception to Dr. Child are amazing. They are friendly and 100% upfront and honest with you. I HIGHLY recommend these guys!

I would highly recommend Dr. Child and his staff if you are looking for a new dentist. My experience has been great. The staff is very friendly and professional. My hygienist has given me some very helpful tips and she is gentle in cleaning. Also, It is wonderful Dr. Child offers sedation because that helped my husband to get back to the dentist due to anxiety issues just for general cleaning. What a blessing that has been to have a pleasant exoerience again for him.
