Reading the reviews made me want to become a patient at this office however I won't be calling every Monday just to not speak with anyone besides an automated voice so I would recommend they fix that issue. Especially since they only allow applications 1 day out of the week

They did not perform the services, they offered and covered for each other when i asked the office manager. they should get rid of that entire front room staff my gums are bleeding, teeth even more sensitive than when i came in; and tartar is present. i have never had my teeth cleaned before. so i didn't know what to expect. but i do know i could eat food on one side and my gums weren't bleeding. proceed with caution

Haven't had a chance to get any services done just yet but calling is very discouraging due to the fact that once you get through the phone hangs up on you. I got hung up on at least 5-6 times before the mailbox was full. I called from 8:59am and continued to get hung up on until finally at about 9:20am when they announced they were full. I am unsure where u leave your contact info at because when you press 2 they hang up. Makes me wonder if they're really taking new people or just hanging up.

Either way I plan to give it one more try before looking into other options as I know this will be a process. It's very nice to offer this service to the community. We'll see if I ever make it through :

Great Experience! I had two teeth pulled and a fill-in with them. They did it for FREE! I had no insurance. The Doctors are mostly residency students that need quality hours for the dds. But you also have veteran drs that assist them and do this all for charity! Hey I think this clinic should manifest more, just like it. Highly recommended for people with life situations and need it! Call mornings @ 7am SHARP! They will help if you can get them on the phone.

Great dental service if you have no insurance or low income. Takes a while to get in the program but definitely worth the wait. All the volunteers are great.

They do the best they can. It's free or low cost and they deal with thousands of people seeking help so the wait list is long but hey its free. They are awesome dental assistants and dentist they treat you like family.

The staff is extremely patient and the facility is clean and comfortable. Even though the patients come from low income families, the staff treats the patients with the utmost care and respect. But because it's 1st come 1served, and there is awaiting list to receive services, that and the $3 donation it's a small price to pay for all they do and the devices they provide I truely appreciate all that they do!

What you should know about the Ben Massell Dental Clinic. The clinic is has been around for 100 years helping indigent people with dental services that they would not be able to afford otherwise. You will see a mixture of reviews about the clinic. Some positive and some quite the opposite. Here is the one thing you need to know if you are considering becoming a patient.

It is FREE! Anyone with common sense knows that free ain't free. You will have to follow a strict set of guidelines before you will get an appointment. Once you get an appointment you will have to WAIT! You will be put on a waiting list. The wait could be several weeks to several months or you may never get an appointment. The fact of the matter is, you may never know.

This outfit has no accountability. The staff is cordial but closely monitors itself and clients. If you are in need of urgent dental work try another source or you could be just putting all your eggs in one basket. Remember it's not the end of the world. No matter how much pain you may be in now, work through it. If you believe and are diligent help will come. BTW I am also a client.

I was able to get my teeth clean, but NEVER hard from them again. Also you have to brown nose the staff at the front desk by been extra courteous when speaking with them; polite, smiling, friendly. IF YOU MAKE A MISTAKE IN ANY OF THESE AREA YOU WILL NOT GET A NEXT APPT. They control that. So pack you patient and just be ready to be there for several hours, who knows you may get luck and have only a short wait. Also the tech the cleaned my teeth was awesome.

I have experienced nothing but the best from this clinic. I am terrified of the dentist and could not afford to repair all of the damage that occurred due to my fears. The staff and the dentists were patient, comforting and reassuring. It does take time to get all of the work done, but that is the cost of utilizing services you pay for through donations. I am so grateful I was accepted to receive dental care here. I have confidence again. I can actually smile now, and I haven't been able to do this in years.

I called the Ben Massell Dental Clinic for 2 Mondays in a row @ 9am. I left a message and within 2weeks they called me back. That was in Nov 2013. They did X-rays, and examined my teeth to see what was needed. They called me in May 2014 and they did a root canal and a couple fillings. Awesome job! they are very professional and very nice staff. ALL of them.

You need help from them? Well, so do a lot of people! You must be patient and persistent and PRAY! God will give you favor if you have FAITH and when they get to you they will do all they can to help. It does take time.but its FREE! thousands of dollars of dental work done FREE. If you're not paying for it just be grateful. I am very grateful and I think it is a service that they do not have to provide but they do.

3/25/2013 - I called the Ben Massell clinic to inquire about free or low cost dental services because I have no dental insurance and I 'm in need of a root canal and crown. I had previously learned that the clinic accepts the first 25 new patients that call at 9am on Mondays. The problem however, is that if you call before 9 you get a professionally recorded answering service.

When I redialed and called the clinic at exactly 9am I received an automated message that my call could not be completed. This went on for about 20 minutes. At 930am when I was able to speak with a live person, The lady was very rude and told me to call back on Monday. When I explained what happened, this lady was very uncaring and on the defensive.

She did not try to offer any resolution of assistance. She just told me that the clinic gets 25 new patients every Monday and I would have to keep trying until I get through. What I don't understand is if this clinic wants to give back to those in need why is the system set up for potential clients not to get through when they need to, why is the staff so rude, uncaring, and unhelpful.

It seems as if this clinic is more concerned about their perception in the community vs. the quality of care, time, and understanding that it should give to customers. I have never experienced such poor service from a dental office.
