Would give the office -5 if I could. Have called their office three days in a row (discomfort, pain, infection of molar) They never called me back I know I'm not a regular patient, but Dentists are expensive! Glenn Alex has been my dentist over the years. Extremely unprofessional to not return a phone call And when a person is in pain, show them some consideration

Dr Alex is an excellent dentist. He has a great and caring staff, waiting time is at most a few minutes, and his technique is top notch. He recently did some cleaning, capping of several teeth, and a mouth guard that fit perfectly. Prices are reasonable here. He is very personable, and his touch is gentle on the teeth. I have seen many dentists over my 66 years, and he is by far the best dentist I have received services from. I can actually look forward to my 6 months cleaning now!

UPDATE - Dr. Alex and his staff are still amazing! I've continued to use them for all of my dental care, and I cannot recommend them enough. My experience from start to finish (veneers) has been positive. Dr. Alex pays VERY close attention to detail, and it shows in his work. The entire process was explained closely, and I never felt rushed. Everyone in the office is friendly, I was always greeted warmly, and I never had to wait more than five minutes after my appointment time(s). Dr. Alex has a great personality and is always professional and respectful of my time, which I truly appreciate. Having had more than one horrible dental experience, I can say without reservation that my comfort was always their priority.

His assistant, Melissa, was amazing and made sure to communicate with me about what was happening. Arlene was wonderful to work with, and my phone calls were always returned promptly. She worked hard to make sure the billing process was seamless. I'm continually impressed with their level of commitment to the satisfaction of their patients. My results are beautiful. This is the place to go for the best

It had been a few (too many) years since my last dentist visit. I was nervous about even calling to schedule an appointment, but Arlene was very welcoming! Dr. Alex worked with me on a plan to not only fix some cavities and discoloration, but also repair some older fillings that were leaking, all while breaking this huge op into smaller appointments that fit my budget. Arlene did a great job on whitening my teeth as well!

From the first consultation until the most recent visit where, after a year of tackling piece by piece, I finally have a healthy smile that I can be proud of! 10/10 would recommend!

Dr. Alex is a master at pain free dentistry. When anesthetic is necessary, he is able to administer it painlessly. He takes the time to explain everything. The staff is professional, attentive, and kind. First class dentistry is what you enjoy with Glenn Alex Dentistry.

Dr Alex is by far the best and most gentle dentist I've ever had. I literally cannot say enough good things about this practice. They worked me in when I had some issues the next day. This was twice. They always are so nice and are very welcoming. I got a filling recently and informed Dr Alex I was extremely nervous due to trauma from a past dentist.

He took extra precautions and made sure to get me extremely numb and told me every single thing he was doing in the process. ALSO they don't use a Novocain shot! It's this cool computer system that distributes the Novocain instead of the painful shot! I walked out with my silly looking numb face and very had any pain! I was able to eat and never have had an issue! They're amazing!

Wow, best dentist EVER! This was my first time as a patient at Dr. Glenn Alex's office, and I will certainly be back (in 6 months of course). Let's start with the office. I was greeted by the nicest woman with great glasses who gave me a toothbrush and floss upon arrival. What I really appreciated was that this dentist office actually plays good music, stuff people actually want to hear.

None of the typical elevator music. They kept the hits coming! My hygienist Julie was the best I've ever had. She was kind, funny, listened to me talk way too much (sorry Julie I don't get out much), and provided great patient education. Dr. Alex was the nicest dentist ever! He took the time to ask about my teeth issues and provided great education and solutions. I normally don't love going to the dentist but I highly recommend the team at Dr. Alex's office. Thank you for making me feel welcome in Athens :)

This is the best dental office experience I have ever had. Arlene is always so welcoming and knows exactly who I am when I call or walk in, and I've only been there 3 times. Dr Alex's technique is extremely pain-free even for a filling, and he explains what he's doing the entire time. I have had several horrible dental experiences but I will continue to come to this office even after moving/working farther from Athens!

I was a fairly new patient of Dr Alex. He was in the middle of drilling my back molar. I mentioned that I had seen his wife in an Athens charity fashion show. All of a sudden he pulled his hands up and said I can't do this any more. He walked out of the room and never came back. I remember this like yesterday. It was POURING down rain. We were leaving for Haiti the next day.

I later learned that he was getting a divorce. I had no idea. I have seen him out and about and he is too small a man to apologize. This was years ago but it is still hard to believe that some one would be so unprofessional.

Now two years after my last review, I'm just as satisfied with everyone and everything at Glenn Alex Dentistry if not more. I switched from my previous dentist over 10 years ago because of a general lack of connection and personable-ness and have been thrilled with my decision. In addition, I knew Dr. Alex as a triathlete and felt his level of fitness and CARE for health and wellness was in line with my own and a notch above all others I had met.

Also it makes all the difference that everyone in this office is efficient, conscious of your time and so upbeat and positive. My teeth chip easily and have many times, and each time Arlene and Glenn make room for me quickly and tackle the job with professionalism and perfection. At some point I expect to need porcelain veneers, as my mother has, and some bonding on my bottom front teeth.

I feel in good hands no matter what my needs are. They have also recommended orthodontists in town who I trust and will be using. I'll review again then. - Nelson Wells, Athens, Georgia

I feel made a wonderful decision with choosing Dr Alex for taking care of my teeth. I have always heard great reviews and now I am able to experience it myself. Dr Alex and his entire team could not be better, they make you feel at home and that, to me, is most important when you are at the dental office. Dr Alex and all his staff are punctual, very professional, there to comfort you and be there for you anytime you need them. The office is very modern, with latest medical equipment, and absolutely clean. I recommend him to anyone that is making a decision on where to go! Hi is the best!

I had a wonderful experience at Dr. Glenn Alex's office! The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming and I was seen right away at the time of my appointment. The atmosphere is very relaxing and makes going to the dentist a calming experience. The staff took the time to talk to me about my concerns beyond my routine teeth cleaning and educated me on different whitening treatments. I didn't feel like they were trying to pressure me into buying anything. They are just very passionate about their job! The referral program is great too!

I had the same dentist for 30+ years so when he retired I was anxious about finding a new one. Someone recommended Dr. Alex to me and I am glad they did! Dr. Alex is great! I love him and all of the staff. Everyone there makes visiting the dentist enjoyable. Everything is explained and they make a care plan for you which helps you maximize your benefits. Shots and procedures are painless! (A huge plus!) I actually enjoy going to the dentist, it's like visiting with friends. I would recommend Dr. Alex to anyone!

This is the best dental experience you will ever have! I began going to Dr Alex when I lived in Athens. After I moved to Atlanta in the early 1990's, I could not find anyone who even closely compared with the service and care I received at Dr Alex's office. I am more than happy to make the trip! Even when I lived in Memphis for five years, I made the journey with a smile on my face, the smile that Dr Alex has kept looking great for all these years!

No distance would be too far for me not to keep coming back. I call it going to my "spa dentist" because that is how the environment feels to me - calm, caring and (yes, at the dentist) relaxing. I know that I am in excellent hands here. I love my wonderful hygienist, Arlene. I get a great, painless, cleaning every time. Coming in always feels like having an appointment with a good friend you only get to see every 6 months.

I always look forward to it. Any time Dr Alex has done work on my teeth, he always explains exactly what he is doing, what I should expect to feel and makes the procedure go as smoothly and as comfortable as he can. I don't have to stress about dental work needing to be done. I know it will always be done right with the least amount of discomfort possible.

Everyone who works in the office is genuinely committed to making sure you get the best possible dental care. I know that my teeth are in the best hands that they could be in!

Dr. Alex is, by far, the best dentist I've ever had. I had avoided the dentist for several, several years because of generally bad experiences with them in the past. I felt like Dr. Alex and his team created a very relaxing environment and made me feel as though they genuinely cared about my health. That sounds canned, but it's was a much different experience than I'm used to having. Dr. Alex also made cavity-filling pain free for me, which was another first. They're a little on the expensive side, but very flexible and have multiple payment and treatment options. I can't say enough good things about them and it's one of the very few things I'll miss about Athens.
