Athens Dentistry For Children

We had our first visit to Athens Dentistry this morning, and it was a success! This was the first dentist visit for my two toddlers, and the calm, but colorful atmosphere was perfect. They had Sing 2 playing on repeat, which was great for the kids. My oldest did very well with staying still and following directions. My youngest cried "no!" throughout the majority of her cleaning and exam, which was tough, but the dental hygienist and Dr. Owensby were very calm, gentle, and patient with her. Dr. Owensby gave us lots of good tips and tricks and shared about her personal experiences with her own kids.

Very relatable and lovely. Everyone was so friendly and sweet. Apparently, there are usually games and toys, with a note that they'll be back soon. The kids didn't know what they were missing, so no worries there. I'm glad to have a good dental office on our team now. They are located in a large medical park, with lots of parking available. Everything was very clean, and masks were required and provided. Highly recommend scheduling your kids' appointments here. They book up fast.

Dr. Brian Jock is amazing. Our child needed a procedure done, and Dr. Jock was highly recommended to us. After contacting him, he went out of his way to accommodate us, coming in before office hours in order to see our child sooner. He was very knowledgable and provided excellent treatment. Dr. Jock is top notch, and I could not imagine going to anyone else!

Dr. Owensby has taken great care of my 3 kids over the years! Not only is she a wonderful dentist, she is very nurturing and friendly. She has always made sure, that I know what my options are and never makes me feel like she's too busy to talk or answer questions. I'm so thankful she's so caring and kind.

This dentist office went above and beyond. I have four children and one with special needs. They made myself and ALL the kids feel right at home like they have known them forever. Normally my one that has special needs has a great deal of anxiety when it comes to the dentist but the doctor and nurse's took their time on explaining instructions and information. I would highly recommend this Dentist office to ALL!

After 5 years and 4 different pediatric dentist, I'm SO HAPPY we found this office. Medicaid or Cigna they treat all their patients with the same care. And it's so much care! My son had a terrible experience at Tebo that left us going far too long between dental visits. The way they talk to the children is kind and informative which made him feel at rest.

They also let me stay which was a huge relief. All the tools are the hygienists "friends" and they explain all they're doing on a child friendly level. I wish they took adults!

My oldest has been coming since he was able to see a dentist, now my youngest goes, I love they allow the kids to be called by their nickname which makes them feel comfortable. The service is excellent and the timely manner they have you in and out!

Absolutely the best experience for my daughter. My daughter has always been very anxious when going to the dentist. However, today we left the dentist office and she was smiling and not crying. I've been taking my three kids to Athens Dentistry for Children for almost three years and absolutely love them. They are always patient, kind, and gentle with my kids. We moved almost an hour away and still continue to use them because no one else can compare.

The staff is amazing and so helpful! My kids have some anxiety from a prior office, and since coming here they are so much more relaxed. We have had several fillings and cleanings done, both their work and the way they go about it are awesome. The office itself is super adorable and kid friendly. Would absolutely recommend!

Today was an amazing experience for my daughter and myself. Dr. Jock aka "The Singing Dentist" filled her cativites and sang different Disney songs to calm her down. He was very patient and helped ease her fears. I was very impressed with April who worked really well with Dr. Jock. She made sure to find the best music to play during my daughter's visit. I highly recommend this dental clinic. We drive 2hrs just for this clinic. It's well worth it! Thank you for all you do!

The dental hygienist, Christian, was so wonderful. She explained everything to my seven year old daughter in a way she understood and was so friendly. The dentist, Dr. Owensby, was also kind and informative, and did a fantastic job repairing my daughter's tooth.

They are always very nice and my son is always very pleased with his treatments. Never anything bad to say about them. I loved that we didn't have to wait 6 months to get in to see them if we need something. Great people!

I took my 17 month son to his first dentist appointment at Athens dentistry for Children. Everyone in the office was so amazing! It was a painless and great first experience. They were friendly, professional, and efficient. I brought my five month old daughter along with me as well who was a bit fussy. The staff even took the time to sit with her and entertain her while my son was in my lap getting his teeth cleaned. I would highly recommend taking your child here! All around excellent experience.

This was my daughters first appointment and everyone was amazing! The dental hygienist was so sweet and explained everything to me and the dentist was more than what I could've ever asked for! I'm so happy we came to y'all! Thank you for making my little girls first appointment the best!

This is an excellent pediatric dentistry practice! They've gone to many efforts to make the experience as pleasant as possible for kids: really cute decor, horizontal screens above the dental chairs so they can watch a kids' movie while being worked on, fun flavors for cleaning and for laughing gas, and they even will paint kids' nails during cleanings.

Unfortunately my kids have needed some dental work done, and the dentists have always been amazingly efficient, doing a great job in the shortest amount of time possible while also having some tricks for keeping the experience from being scary. I highly recommend this practice!
