Myotronics was established in 1966 as a result of the original pioneering research in the area of Neuromuscular Dentistry. From the beginning Myotronics has led the field in delivering the dental profession with the specialized instrumentation necessary to physiologically evaluate and document occlusal parameters.
Services
Myotronics manufactures a full range of products for the Neuromuscular Dentist. We also offer a full range of supplies, including electrodes and educational materials, and other tools to support the Neuromuscular practice. The K7x Evaluation System is a computer-based system for three dimensional jaw tracking, surface electromyography and temporomandibular joint sound study.
Relax masticatory and cervical/upper shoulder muscles and establish a physiologic occlusion. The battery-operated J5 Dental TENS unit, like its predecessor the J4, delivers controlled, periodic, bilateral electrical stimulation to help provide muscle relaxation, increased blood circulation, and increased range of motion.
I find muscle hyperactivity to be a key element in most TMD patients. I utilize the BNS-40 for these patients in the office and often prescribe it for home use to treat the muscular components. These patients experience dramatic relief, and acute episodes of the underlying conditions diminish. We have several units in our office and they are in use constantly.
The OccluSense handheld is a battery-powered device that uses your local wireless network to transfer the recorded data to the OccluSense-Ipad-App. The technologically advanced OccluSense pressure sensors allow the recording of the masticatory forces in 256 pressure levels. The thin and flexible material permits the recording of both the static and the dynamic occlusion.
