Services
My goal is to help my patients improve their oral health, but also to make the process as comfortable as possible. We have some truly wonderful patients who value the importance of good oral health and make it a delight to practice dentistry. I am committed to making my practice the place where my patients can come for quality, comfortable, efficient care at a reasonable price.
After 17 years, Penne has retired from full-time at the practice, however, you might catch her filling in from time to time and tending the plants on the deck. Before working in the front office capacity I worked as a chairside assistant, always striving to assist our patients with a better understanding of their dental needs.
At the office of Dr. Audrey Tatt, we work hard to make our patients comfortable and provide quality dentistry. Since 2001, we have aimed at providing a practice where the whole family can go and know they will be treated by professionals who are sensitive to the needs of each person. We open early at 7am, ready to attend those early risers and allow you a broader choice of times.
We understand your need to receive treatment in a practice that makes you feel comfortable, safe, and welcome. Please feel free to schedule an appointment or stop by for a complete tour of our practice. You will get to meet our team, walk through our office and treatment areas, and learn more about the treatments we provide.

Dr. Tatt and her staff are always welcoming and professional. Dr. Tatt always takes the time to keep me informed about my teeth. I learn something every time I am in for a visit either about my teeth or about dentistry. I can tell she loves her work and enjoys teaching her patients. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a personable, trustworthy Dentist.

Every part of the process was practically flawless. Truly impressed by Dr. Tatt, my hygienist, and the front desk for making the process enjoyable, productive (answered all my questions knowledgeably) and efficient (not a single minute of waiting time even as I showed up early). Would highly recommend!

I've been Dr. Tatt's patients for twenty (?) years. That explains it all. She and her staff keep my mouth healthy and, under their ministrations, I am no longer a dental coward. She is skillful, patient and does excellent work. A plus for people like me, with a small mouth, is is that she has small hands.

To those who have anxiety or battle mental health- be warned! Let me start by saying I have anxiety, which this office knows as they have a list of my medications. Long story short, they took my back and performed a service without verifying my insurance. I figured it would be looked into during the hour I was getting serviced. But they didn't. They kept giving me push back about my insurance.
The front desk gal had excuses for days. I explained my husband had zero issues with his dentist office running our insurance, and offered for them to call his office to see how it was done. The staff laughed at me. I truly believe you are never done learning, but that's not the case at this office. Then, they wanted to write down my husbands social security number on a notepad visible to all guests on their office desk, which obviously we were not comfortable doing.
Throughout the appointment and this interaction, my anxiety was building and my whole body was shaking, which Dr. Tatt knew. After talking with my husband, he suggested I just leave, so I did. I got to my car and had the WORST panic attack I've ever had, and was paralyzed in my car for over a half hour. It was the first panic attack I have had in over 8 years.
The next thing I heard from them is they are inactivating my account. Any medical office that induces such intense panic attacks, and no respect for people who battle anxiety, is not an office for me.

I've been Dr. Tatt's patient for almost twenty years. I've been going in twice a year, like clockwork, for mostly routing check-ups. Invariably Dr. Tatt and her staff have made a strong positive impression because of their professionalism, competence, punctuality and willingness to accommodate my schedule.

Dr. Tatt is precise in her dental procedures and very thorough in communicating with the patient. She balances the needs for dental work with the patient's economic budget and insurance coverage. She alerts you to future needs. And she is a wonderful person too! This is why we drive over an hour each way. She is worth it.

Dr. Tatt and her team are warm and welcoming. They explain how to improve your dental health without any judgment or condescension. They answered all my silly questions and have great "bedside manner". They are also gentle and caring - somehow they made a root canal feel easy and painless. I don't hate going to the dentist anymore which says a lot. Thanks Dr. Tatt and Team!

Everyone on the staff including Dr. Tatt are professionals, courteous, etc. The staff have been with Dr. Tatt for long periods of time (e.g. Lan and Linda. I miss Penny but the new receptionist is nice too.) They do a great job and Dr. Tatt runs a very professional operation. I think I've been going there 8 years or so now - still as high quality level of service as always.

Dr. Tatt and her staff are all 5 star as professionals and as people. They all continue to amaze me with their knowledge and patient approach to my dental health while making me feel welcome. It's a 30-45 minute drive from my house to Dr. Tatt's, I pass many dental offices where there are probably skilled professionals at work yet the drive is well worth it.

I have been going to Dr. Tatt for 15 years and have been very happy with the care that I have received over the years. I was first referred to Dr. Tatt so that she could perform a restoration to my front four teeth. I had an implant performed to my front top tooth and needed crowns on the 3 adjacent teeth. I was impressed with the time that she spent with me to make sure that everything went perfectly and with how gentle her hands were when working on my teeth and mouth.
Since the restoration, my teeth have never looked better. Because I was so happy with the restoration, I have continued to use Dr. Tatt for my general dentistry. I don't live in Bellevue, but continue to drive 25-30 minutes to see her. Penny does a great job at the front desk and is efficient and takes time to get to know you. All of the hygienists have been excellent. I would highly recommend.

Where to begin? Dr. Tatt may be great with adults but she's very intimidating to kids and doesn't know how to engage in a genuine way. The 3 year old girl I took was so nervous about the dentist and ended up crying a lot during the appointment. Instead of walking her through what was happening and making the visit feel like a safe place, Dr. Tatt opted to have me hold the 3 year old's arms down while she examined her teeth.
The 3 year old screamed the entire time and I felt terrible for having participated in what felt like a total violation. At the time Dr. Tatt made it seem like this was "normal" and the only option to have a successful visit. We switched dentists today and WHAT A DIFFERENCE THAT MADE. The 3 year old was panicking and crying before the appointment but as soon as the dental assistant brought her in and started talking to her she instantly calmed down. Kids can tell when adults are genuinely fostering a safe place and when they are putting on a smile just make it through the visit.
I started tearing up at her appointment with the new dentist because she was actually enjoying her visit and laughing with the doctor! DO NOT GO TO DR. TATT IF YOU HAVE KIDS WHO ARE NERVOUS ABOUT GOING TO THE DENTIST. Also, the receptionist from Dr. Tatts office asked me on two SEPARATE visits if I was pregnant when I was NOT. Soooooooo not a super great experience for either of us.

Five years ago, my daughter and I were recommended to go to Dr Tatt by a former dental assistant who's opinion I highly value. Five years later, I can say that I'll stay with Dr Tatt as long as possible. She is knowledgable, honest, and respected in the Washington dental community (I'm in orthodontics as well). Dr. Tatt, her long-time hygienist and her long-time receptionist have always been very respectful and understanding, and great with my daughter.
I don't know many other kids that are so comfortable with their dentist (and adults for that matter). The former assistant I know still sees Dr. Tatt as well as her family. I've always been told upfront what my insurance will and won't cover, and everyone in the office has been understanding and cooperative if I have any financial hesitations. I and my daughter have never had a negative experience, and this includes fillings, crowns, etc.

I've been going to Dr. Tatt for over 15 years and initially selected her office because I was working in Bellevue, so location was convenient. It's been years since I last worked in Bellevue and I actually live in Shoreline, so i'm asked often why i drive so far for a dentist. Dr. Tatt and her team are a rare find, where you get the whole package: from top notch quality care to comfortable surroundings that includes state-of-the-art facilities, and some of the nicest people you'll meet.
To begin with, Dr. Tatt is very smart- and it shows. She's extremely thorough in her work, so it's very comforting knowing that nothing's missed. Dr. Tatt is also one of the nicest doctors where she or her team always follows up with me after big procedures to make sure I'm comfortable and healing properly. Dr. Tatt's team members are also an amazing group of folks. Penne at the front desk is genuinely warm and professional and has always been so great in helping me schedule appointments, and taking the extra steps to ensure my insurance covers the upcoming procedures.
In this day and age, it's so difficult finding a professional office who's not only passionate about their work and results, but also genuinely nice and actually cares for their patients. Finding a doctor who's consistent in quality and providing a warm atmosphere is so rare. I'm so lucky to be a patient of Dr. Tatt's and her team.

I've been going to Dr. Tatt for many years now and I actually look forward to my appointments! The staff is friendly and helpful and makes the visit--well, not fun exactly, but enjoyable. When I do need to have dental work done, Dr. Tatt always explains clearly what the work is and what the cost is. She's also willing to discuss ways to keep the costs down by using alternate procedures, or delaying procedures that aren't critical.
And most important to me is that she keeps current on the latest developments in dentistry to make sure that my teeth stay in my head. On my latest visit today, she applied a fluoride "lacquer" that's been shown to reduce cavities. This kind of innovation is what I really appreciate. You can trust Dr. Tatt with your teeth.

My husband doesn't trust dentists period. So much so he hasn't been in 5 years. The only way I could get him to go again was to tell him I found Dr. Tatt whom He'd seen many many years ago at a different office. He loves her honesty and her skill. Thank you Dr. Tatt for being such a wonderful dentist! From a very thankful wife.

Pro's The Dental Hygienist is very good, friendly, and makes dental visits painless and pleasant. Con's Dr Tatt will discuss with you your dental issues in the waiting room for everyone to here, the receptionist is impossible when it comes to changing or canceling an appointment. If you are a patient, and need a crown worked on or something expensive, check with your dental insurance to make sure its within a time frame allowed, they don't check it and then bill you for the service, it happened to us, a good, honest dentist would check the insurance and let you know that it's gonna be more upfront cost but Dr Tatt's office does'nt. Also The Washington Dental Service gave them the boot! What does that tell you about their business?
