Dr. Omar Ata graduated with honors from the University of Illinois-Chicago in 1976 with a Bachelor degree in Biology. He continued on to the University of Illinois College of Dentistry where he graduated in 1981. Dr. Omar Ata remained at the University of Illinois where he taught comprehensive dental care for over three years.
Your first visit to Ata Dental establishes a vital foundation for our relationship with you. During the first visit, we make sure to obtain important background information, like your medical history, and give you time to get to know your doctor. You'll find all the practical information you need, such as a map and directions to our office, practice hours, payment policies and more.
We know that dental insurance can be confusing but we are here to help guide you through the process! The first thing you should know is that we accept all indemnity insurance plans, sometimes called a PPO. With this type of plan you can go to ANY dentist of your choosing! HMO, DMO and Medicaid plans, require you to be assigned to a specific office.

First time patient today. Staff were pleasant and efficient. They were all gentle as well. Prices very reasonable. I recently went to aspen dental where they told me I had 3 cavities and needed 3,000 worth of work. Today I had a through exam and cleaning and paid 64.00 in total and told I didn't have any cavities. I would highly recommend Ata for anyone seeking exceptional dental care.

Accessible location with parking. Office located on second floor. Newly decorated office. Tasteful, clean, spacious. Staff is friendly. Was greeted with a smile. I had an emergency and they fit me in with no hesitation. Dr. Omar Ata has amazing bedside manners. He was compassionate and demonstrated empathy. Very professional. If problem is outside the scope of expertise, they will refer you to someone who has the experience and expertise.
They were able to get me seen at the endodontist same morning. I will definitely recommend this practice to friends and family. This will be my place of choice for preventative and emergency care.

Best dentist office I've ever been to. I was in a lot of pain and needed a root canal I almost went to the ER a couple time because of how intense the pain was, I was convinced by family to go here instead. They got me an appointment immediately, there was basically no wait time in the office as soon as I finished the paperwork they called me in. Xrays done less than 5 minutes later and they were able to stop the pain and start the root canal in another 10-15 minutes.
Including doing the new patient sign in stuff I was there probably an hour and pain free now. Doctor Overmeyer was outstanding. Definitely going here for any future dental work. Highly recommend.

Just had my first procedure (crown replacement) performed by Dr. Omar Ata and am extremely happy to say my online research on the Ata Dental Practice has far exceeded my expectations! In all my 71 years this has been my first completely pain-free (including wince-free) dental experience.ever. Also, and SO important to me anyway, first time ever that the numbing procedure did not result in drooling all over myself for hours afterward- LOL! There was just a slight lip numbing that didn't interfere with speech, or even eating lunch right after procedure. What an absolute pleasure; I highly recommend Ata Dental.

As always, the staff and Dr Ata were wonderful. A calm environment and the new expanded facility is incredible with new chairs to experience massage and heat while getting your teeth cleaned.a great distraction and experience to enhance your treatment, especially if you struggle to relax in a dentist chair. I've known doctor Ata for 20 years and he is the best!

Dr. Ata and his staff are excellent! Dr. Ata is a master craftsman. Today, he replaced a crown that I had placed in California 1 1/2 years ago. The crown was poorly fitted. Dr. Ata's group uses a device to scan the teeth so a new ceramic crown can be laser cut. With meticulous care, his staff and then Dr. Ata made sure the bite/alignment was perfect. I feel super comfortable knowing I have Dr. Ata and his group available for my dental needs.

Ata Dentistry takes care of my family's dental care, both regular and special needs, for competitive dentistry prices. They are a state of the art facility that is CDC-guideline friendly with a well trained, professional staff. Dr. Joe just replaced my broken crown, from start to finish with new crown in a total of two hours. He kept me comfortable the entire time, and he and his staff made the whole process look easy. My appointment time as reflected on my card was 1500. I understand it's a medical facility so I gave a buffer window of ten minutes. Individuals that arrived after my child were being called back. I asked the front desk clerk about my 1500 appointment and she stated my appointment was at 1515. I stated no ma'am my appointment card along with automated message which called to confirm my appointment stated 1500. She dismissed my concern. I've been at this location since 2009. I didn't appreciate the treatment.

Have been trying to get a follow up apt since last Thursday. Left message for a return call on Thursday, Friday and Today after being on hold for 10 minutes. No one has returned our call. Also went onto their website and completed the make an appointment form and received no call back. Initially we have been very happy with service however, after this not so sure at all.

The doctor is wonderful. Scheduled appointments quickly and is able to do everything in house. My husband and I have both came into some problems with reception regarding our insurance, so hopefully I can turn this 4 star to a 5 some day. Still I am very happy with their services and work and highly recommend.
