Donna brings years of experience in public relations, marketing, managing and event planning to Hidden Valley Orthodontics. She is passionate about our local community and volunteers to make a difference! After San Pasqual High School's 20 year class reunion, she reunited with her high school sweetheart, Rich. They have 3 daughters between them, all have graduated from college and gainfully employed.Rich and Donna enjoy traveling, volunteering and all their special times with friends & family. Terry draws upon her customer service skills and passion for creating the best experience in her job as Treatment Coordinator.

I'm passionate about two things in life: my family and creating smiles through orthodontics. My journey with dentistry and orthodontics began at 12 years old growing up in a dental family in Rancho Bernardo. I started out cleaning instruments in my father's oral surgery office and assisted in different disciplines of dentistry before I decided to attend dental school to be a specialist in orthodontics, which means I already have over 30 years experience under my belt.

The first step toward achieving a beautiful, healthy smile is to schedule an appointment. While we welcome referrals from patients' general dentists, a referral is not required to schedule a complimentary consultation to be evaluated by Dr. Fortney. If you need to cancel or reschedule an existing appointment, or if you require immediate attention, please contact our practice directly.

I found this place by searching invisalign. Since the beginning the staff has being superv. Every visit the staff greeted with a joyful smile and made you feel like home. From my experience, all the technology they use was the best. All my bottom teeth were crooked and they fixed it all with the invisaling treatment. Now I can smile with confident and show my perfect smile. Thanks to Dr. Fortney and her staff

Looking to sharpen that smile? Want to be treated like a valued individual rather than just another patient? Look no further, Hidden Valley Orthodontics is the cream of the crop. I found this team with a simple search (best orthodontist near me). I found a number of options however HVO stood out for two reasons, 1. Over 100 reviews combined including Delta Dental PPO network reviews, and 2.
It's family owned. I decided to schedule a consultation after doing my research. Walking in was very inviting, I explained it was my first time and I was checked in promptly. The waiting room is very classy to say the least. They have a hight table with stools, comfortable chairs, coffee and a gaming room with multiple gaming stations. No more than 3 minutes from checking in, I was greeted by a lovely employee that took my pictures, x-ray's, and asked me about my goals or what I wanted to accomplish with my smile.
I voiced my concerns and met with Dr. Fortney. She presented a course of action, explained what she saw and what to expect, then gave me the option to proceed or not. The HVO team treated me like I was already being treated by them even though it was my first time visiting. Needless to say I didn't have to visit any other locations after the experience I had at HVO!
It's been about 5 months from the date of my first visit and my treatment is progressing smoothly. The culture is very inviting with a family and friends feel and every employee is always happy and in a good mood from what I can see. If you're going to get treatment, why not get it from a team that makes you feel comfortable, loves what they do and is happy to do it? Thank you Dr. Fortney and HVO team! You have set the bar as high as it can go!

This place is amazing! The staff is friendly and efficient. They always chat personally with the patients and answer all questions. They never rush you thru an appointment. I never have to wait more than 5 minutes to get in a chair. They have contests for patients. They have staff dress up days. It's just a fun environment. All that being said, I am a 60 year old patient who got invisalign.

**Update: Our 5 start review stands as of 4/6/21. Great staff and office. My daughters teeth are coming along beautifully.** Our consultation went really well. The staff explained everything thoroughly and answered all of our questions. The financing was fair and they gave several options which was very helpful. You feel like you have some control on your payment schedule and amount. We have chosen to stay and start treatment here. So far so good

HVO is a fantastic orthodontic practice. They have all of the latest high tech toys to make sure your visit is fast and efficient, and to make sure your treatment results in a beautiful smile. But more importantly, all of the staff are amazing. From the front desk and admin folks, to the assistants, to Dr. Fortney herself. they make it a pleasure to receive treatment there.

I'am so thankful that I found this on goggle. All the employees are knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend this place especially if you need braces. I was very nervous since it's my fist time going in to get a consultation for braces but all that got taken away with good vibes and how everyone is very positive and helpful. I can't wait to put them on and get my teeth done . shout out to Nancy!

Dr. Fortney and all of her staff were so friendly and so informative during our consultation for our nine-year-old son. They kept him very calm and talked to him throughout the x-rays and photos. We loved the 3D X-ray and the fact that she has a holistic approach to Dentistry. She talk to us about how his airways and adenoids and tonsils looked on the x-rays and what to look for to make sure he's getting proper sleep due to his large tonsils, etc. We were very impressed and will definitely go to doctor Fortney if the need arises for braces, once his baby teeth come out.
