I came to Bigman with jaw issues, they were very informative and helpful. They suggested I get botox for my jaw, which I ended up doing and I have already felt results in 2 weeks. They have been very realistic with me and have noted multiple times that they hope to only see me once for my jaw and that I dont have any other issues (which I hope so too).

They are very friendly in the office and very timely. They also do not want to tack on any extra costs that are not needed which is very refreshing to hear. I feel valued as a patient. Thank you Bigman for helping me with my jaw issues.

I thought that getting a mouth guard would be an easy task. And for a lesser group of people who didn't care for their professions as much as the individuals at Bigman's maybe it very well would have been. However for the Bigman employees, it's was very clear that their number one priority was to ensure both my care and wellbeing. And although my appointment ran well past closing I didn't feel rushed even thoughts they were clearly losing time out of their days, and after that hard day of work they decided to help me. Me, someone who has no idea what their doing, me, someone who they could have easily been given a bad product and be none the wiser.

However they stayed and they decided to help me in ways I didn't even know they could. I found myself thankful for their attentiveness and thoroughness to make sure my mouth guard would fit like a glove. I believe they made 6-8 molds of my mouth, also took X-rays and photos. It was not only impressive the quality of care, but the ease at which they alleviated my concerns.

It was quite literally the most painless and easy as getting this type of thing could possibly be. Thank you very much everyone! I know this review isn't much in the face of the care and concern you showed for me but I hope this helps, if only a bit.

I just went to my last appointment here as I've gotten my braces taken off and done all the follow ups for my retainers. I really enjoyed my experience here. The atmosphere is so comfortable and welcoming and the staff are all very kind. I completely recommend this place!

I have 4 children and all have gone through braces with Dr. B. We have had a great experience. They are a kind & caring staff. Very professional & excellent results.

I've been told by dentists my whole life that I needed braces, but I kept putting it off. That is, until my teeth clenching and grinding became so bad that I not only broke multiple night guards, but I kept breaking my own teeth. At this point my dentist threw her arms up and exclaimed, "You need braces!". She recommended Dr. Bigman to me and said, "Go to him, he's seen EVERYTHING".

So I finally decided to bite the bullet and get, GULP, adult braces. From my initial consultation to my current status at 1.5 years into treatment, I can say without a doubt that Dr. B is fantastic. I know that I'm getting the best care from not only him, but from his entire staff. Everyone from the front desk, to the x-ray tech, to dental assistants, to billing, are all so friendly and caring. Anytime I have a question, it's received openly and answered thoroughly.

And if I don't understand something, extra time is made to explain it to me. Dr. B is definitely a busy guy, but I've never felt that my treatment has been rushed. He has provided me with such comprehensive care that he's even started Botox treatments to help address my clenching. Let's face it, braces aren't exactly fun, but Dr. Bigman and his team make the process as pleasant as can be.

I have been coming to Dr. Bigman's office and have been so happy with the care that my family and I have received there. Dr. Bigman and his staff are kind, courteous, and caring people who really try to get to know patients and their families. I go to Dr. Bigman, my husband has gotten care there, and two of our daughters as well and they make it such a pleasant experience! We couldn't recommend him enough.

Dr. Bigman and his staff are courteous, kind and extremely professional. They are also great in the community. Dr. Bigman supports schools, Scouts and more. And of course the care is top notch. It's also a great office that gives away free cookies once a year!

Dr. Big man and his staff are fabulous. Today our daughter is overwhelmed with joy with news that she will get her braces off soon. Her smile brightens up the room and she is full of confidence. If I could give Dr. Bigman and his staff 10 stars for outstanding care and service - I would. I've been struggling with TMJ/TMD, chronic headaches, ocular migraines, head pain and TMJ pain related insomnia for over one and a half years. I've tried what I feel is everything under the sun to reduce/eliminate my jaw, head and neck pain. I had seen over 10 medical specialists and 4 oral specialists in efforts to eliminate my chronic pain issues.

This past April, I had an extremely terrible flare up and none of the typical medications, therapies and treatments that have helped me in the past, were working to reduce my pain this time around. I was beyond miserable in pain, the headaches were relentless and I was having terrible insomnia. I became desperate for a new treatment option/solution for my TMJ pain so I started researching more oral specialists in the East Bay who specialized in administering Botox.

That is when I came across Dr. Bigman's website. I saw that he specialized in Botox therapy for TMJ pain and I decided it was worth making an appointment. Dr. Bigman is the 5th oral specialist I have seen for my TMJ condition and I cannot begin to express how I am SO extremely grateful that I found Dr. Bigman's practice. When I called, the staff understood the urgency of my issue and scheduled an appointment for me the following day - they explained my consultation would be free.

During my appointment, Dr. Bigman and his staff took the time to speak to me in detail about my TMJ condition and took the time to understand all the past treatments that I have tried and unfortunately have not given me long term relief. The staff took scans and photos of my mouth and jaw and Dr. Bigman did a full oral exam to understand the severity of my TMJ pain and inflammation.

They took all of the proper steps to ensure that I was a good candidate for Botox therapy before recommending it as a treatment option. Not only that, but I was so pleased to be told that the entire consultation and all the imaging they had done was for FREE. After I agreed to the Botox treatment, Dr. Bigman and his staff ensured that I understood the proper dosage that was recommended for me and they were also very transparent about the upfront cost of the treatment because many medical and/or dental insurance companies don't cover the cost of Botox injections.

Cost was NOT a surprise here. Dr. Bigman explained I would begin feeling relief within a few days and he told me it would take about 2 weeks to feel pretty much pain and headache free. He was right - 11 days after the injections, I finally felt pain free and the horrible headaches were finally gone. Not only did my pain go away, but I have been sleeping better than I have since my original diagnosis in 2017.

I had an in office follow up 2 weeks after treatment and will be following up again in 2 months because Dr. Bigman wants to ensure that I remain pain free. I am so grateful to Dr. Bigman and his staff; not only has he helped me with helping me manage this terrible condition but I value how honest he was in his treatment recommendations for me. Not only did he help get rid of my relentless TMJ pain and headaches, but I finally feel hopeful that I can finally start living, feeling and sleeping like a normal and healthy person again.

We cannot say enough good things about Bigman Orthodontics. Everyone there is friendly and sincere. Dr. Bigman is knowledgeable and takes the time to discuss options and reasoning for them. We felt welcome, and like family by the end of the consultation. Our daughter's experience getting braces was stress free and she was all smiles after having them put on. Dr Bigman was recommended to me by my neighbor. She raved about how great of an experience it was that I had to see it myself. I ended up switching my daughter and then my son. It really feels like they go out of the way to make this a great experience for the kids.

We have been with Dr Bigman for more than 10 years and he is the very best orthodontist in town. There's four of us in the family that are seeing Dr Bigman now including me and my husband. My husband has the Invisalign, I have the lower braces, my 12 year old with full braces and young daughter wearing retainer and on phase 1. Dr Bigman is amazing and the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The place is clean and very kid friendly. Five stars throughout! We highly recommend this place.

My name is Dr Roger Chang. I am part of a large dental group that has an orthodontist partner so we are a direct competitor of Dr Bigman. Over the years, some of my patients chose to see Dr Bigman instead of our orthodontist. Why? Some had already had other kids see him long ago ( he has practiced over 20 years). Some have friends that have seen him and love him.

I read the negative reviews as well as the positive reviews about Dr Bigman. The negative reviews seem to be about insurance or inability to get appointment times.none are about QUALITY. That is the most important thing. Over the years I have found Dr Bigman to be an EXCELLENT orthodontist. His treatment plans are well thought out and his work is precise.

The look and bite of his finished cases is perfect. If the teeth look straight in the front but do not mesh well in the posterior the teeth will relapse and get crooked again as there are misdirectional forces on them. Two phase orthodontic treatment is meant to help the jaw and teeth grow appropriately. Those orthodontists that disagreed with Dr Bigman are merely telling people what they wanted to hear because it takes less time and is less expensive than single phase. Google the benefits of two phase ortho if it is needed.

As for a Yelp warning that a lot of compliments came from the same IP address it is most likely that there is a computer set up in his waiting room to make it convenient for people to give a review. Most people are too busy to review a place even if the experience is great but haters and COMPETITORS that have malicious intent will take the time and trouble to post a review and take false potshots at a good business.

If Yelp did not contain sensational slanderous posts it would be boring. I have gone to five star Yelp restaurants and the food was average.what gives? I felt compelled to defend Dr Bigman as his negative reviews are misguided. If I or my kids needed ortho and I did not have one in my group I would see Dr Bigman. His finished cases are long lasting and the occlusion (bite) is perfect.

One more thing, a lot of orthodontists do not touch the second molars.why? It adds a lot more time to make them fit. Time is money so they short cut it there. Dr Bigman takes no shortcuts. The greatest compliment is one that comes from your competitors so I am saluting Dr Bigman.

Dr Bigman is the best orthodontist we could ever have. He's very caring, attentive to detail and professional. The office staff is always helpful and kind. Making appointment is a breeze too, they always try to accommodate to your time. The environment is very clean and professional. You can't go wrong under the care of Dr Bigman.

Dr. Bigman and his staff are wonderful. They're always courteous, caring and professional. Plus, I've seen the great results. My oldest son recently completed his course of braces and his teeth are straight and beautiful. My youngest son is now seeing Dr. Bigman too.

Dr. Bigman's is very organized and his office is always a very nice place. There are plenty of activities going on and they are very thorough.

Dr. Bigman has been a joy to work with. Both my daughter's go to Dr. Bigman for orthodontic care and I've been very pleased with the results so far. Braces are an investment bottom line. I've had other consultations with other orthodontists and I found myself coming back to Dr. Bigman because he was the most reasonable as far as cost, he's very knowledgeable, office is so kid friendly, and staff is always courteous. It's an all in one package. My kids and I enjoy coming to Dr. Bigman's and that means a lot.

I had some corrective work that I had been putting off. Going to Dr. Bigman was the best decision. Fabulous technicians and office staff always took care of me. My deadline to have the work completed was by my daughters wedding. They coordinated the treatment procedure flawlessly and everything was completed early. Love my new smile!

Very, very disappointed. They are over booked. Dr bigman said he wants to see me in 6 weeks. They scheduled an appointment in 8 weeks because they didn't have any spot available earlier (2 weeks later).I called the office one day before my appointments to reschedule it because my son got sick (you know with kids is everything unpredictable) so they said next available appt is going to be one month later ( that is ridiculous to wait 4-5 weeks to reschedule your app). Btw if you come a bit later they will not take you in.

I have used Dr Bigman for my 12 year old first round of braces. When I started the first round there was no problem as I paid out of pocket. Recently my wife asked, I asked twice and the insurance company I now have called and asked what insurance company Dr Bigman's office work with and we were told all of them. I then wanted to see what was covered and how much and the insurance company said he does not work with ANY companies.

I also learned he will get the process going and after thing are moving along the billing person will call and tell you they don't work with your insurance. Now some of this is second hand info but why wont they call me back and answer my question: What insurance companies do you work with? And if its none is there ethics thing here or maybe he does not want my business.

All of my children have had their braces from D r. Bigman. Never had an issue. Zip, zero, nada.
