Christy is a graduate of Wayne Community College and has been working in the dental field since 2003 before joining the Mooring Dental family in 2017. As a dental hygienist, Christy spends her days at the office cleaning smiles, providing exceptional patient care, sterilizing all dental tools, and monitoring x-rays.

Dr. Sean Mooring received both his undergraduate and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Mooring, a native North Carolinian, met his wife Shannon in Chapel Hill, and they have two sons, Grant and Andrew. The Moorings are residents of Clayton where they are active in the community.

I have been a patient of Mooring Dental for over 15+ years and have never once left the office without feeling confident I am getting the best dental care and experience. I have had small ortho care with aligners, to bite adjustments, and all the annual exams in between and have been very satisfied with all care! Dr. Sean is very thorough in evaluating all aspects of my dental care and makes sure I am getting the best professional evaluation.
All the hygienist are wonderfully friendly and approachable and love to ask about my life updates while making sure my smile sparkles. Laura Jane has always been the most welcoming face and makes sure I am comfortable with payments and scheduling future visits. 10/10 best dental practice there is! I look forward to going to the dentist because I know I'll leave happy, feeling valued, and with a sparkle in my smile!

I always appreciate how my hygienist, Christy, spends time to get updates, not just on how my teeth are doing but also my family, and my life. Today I brought my 10yo granddaughter and when we left she said, I want to switch to your dentist. They talk to you and are so nice. That's saying a lot cause she isn't the biggest fan of going to the dentist.
