Services
Dr. Harris is a native North Carolinian who spent his childhood in parts of Henderson, NC and Washington, NC respectively. He and his family currently reside in the Glen Laurel community of Clayton, where he is an avid golfer of the The Neuse Golf Club. Dr. Harris worked some years as an associate at other dental offices before he achieved his dream of owning his own dental practice, when he purchased Southern Village Dental in 2016. He treats patients of all ages and works very well with children.
Our office is not only dedicated to your smile, we're also dedicated to your overall wellness. We take a holistic approach to your dental care, which includes an oral cancer screening as a part of your regular exam. Like many kinds of cancer, oral cancer can be life-threatening if not diagnosed and treated early.
Your first visit to our office typically includes an X-ray that allows us to view the structure of the jaw, the position of teeth that have not yet erupted, malformed roots, and tooth decay. The initial visit involves a review of your medical history. When you share your medical history, be sure to provide complete, up-to-date information on your health.
We are in-network with many dental insurances and currently accept Medicaid - we work very well with children. The cost of your treatment may vary, depending on your individual needs and treatment plan. During your visit, we'll discuss the cost of your treatment and each of your available payment plan options with you, so you are able to make the best choice for you, your smile, and your family.

I will say I was terrified going in for my first deep clean in 10 years with one needing to be pulled. I am truly terrified of needles and expected to squirm like a child LOL however the experience I had today changed my whole prospective. I truly didn't feel a thing. They are so awesome. seriously. All very sterile and educated. I plan on this being my dentist the rest of my adult years. Thank you!

As a former dental assistant, I appreciate the sterilization, the purification of the air, the office staff are ready to do there job. Its a love of labor, it takes a very special person to love what they do. Dr. Harris is a great leader and team player. He explains what what he is doing or needs to do and why. Dr Harris is the best ever for years I did not feel good about my smile and was told by other dentist I would need to get all of my teeth extracted and ware dentures for the rest of my life Dr Harris was a savior and change all of that my life was forever changed I will always be grateful for what he did to my smile and his staff is amazing and the best!

Dr. Harris and the dental hygienist I had today were amazing. Dr. Harris is such a great dentist and hes so knowledgeable. His bedside manner is wonderful and hes very patient with me, I can be a difficult patient. This whole place makes me enjoy the dentist more than I ever have in the past. Would recommend to everyone. Kiki was also super friendly and knowledgeable. she was the dental assistant/hygienist.

My first visit was about a month ago for some cleaning and x-rays. Dr. Harris seens very thorough and professional and the office staff is friendly. My dental hygienist was also superb. Also, the office and patient rooms are very clean and organized which speaks volumes to me. This will be our new family dentist.

In the 8 years we've been in the area we have seen 4 other dentists for various routine and repair dental care. In every other practice I came away dissatisfied with one or more aspects of my treatment. I started with Dr. Harris a few months ago cautiously hopeful and I am happy to report that Dr. Harris is a big step above the rest. He is kind, mindful of your comfort, listens to your concerns and explains options thoroughly.
His skills are excellent. Right now I'm barely 24 hours after an extraction and experiencing very little pain due to his good work and the effective yet safe pain relief plan he prescribed. If you want a dentist that treats you as more than a mouthful of teeth, this is the place to go.

From the time I was very young, I have had problems with my teeth. I can honestly say that Dr. Harris is #1 on my list! I have never felt the shots to numb my gums! Dr. Harris provides you with a treatment plan, and different options if possible. Everyone in the office has been kind and I would recommend Dr. Harris to my family and friends.

I went to this office when another dentist was there Dr. Pratt and I honestly didn't think anyone could be as good as her and her associates. I am so glad I went to see Dr. Harris and his staff today. I was so nervous but when I went in everyone was so friendly and nice. While getting work done they kept making sure I was not in any pain or discomfort, but I did not. Almost 6 hours later and still no pain looking forward to my next appointment. Thank you Dr. Harris and staff for a great experience.

Had a tooth extraction (my first ever) and was fairly apprehensive about the whole process. Dr. Harris and his staff were very reassuring and even offered to give me 2 gold stars! I was made to feel at ease and very reassuring all along the process (painless too!) and was provided every courtesy one would ever want. This staff is the best, and Dr. Harris dislikes any pain even worse than I do! I'll be back for sure!
