The front desk, the assistant and the doctor were extremely friendly. Amazing experience for my first time being a patient here. Their service made my fears of dentist dwindle. I arrived 30 mins early than my scheduled appointment and they were quick.

I didn't realize the poor service I was getting until I moved and had to find a new dentist. I went here for 1.5 years or so and saw the dentist once at my initial appointment. I had old fillings on the front of my teeth that were leaking. Dr. Kumar said he would only fix them with veneers. Since I'm just a teacher, I didn't have the money for that, and he offered no other options. Additionally, they convinced me I NEEDED the deep cleaning that requires you to come in three times a year (and of course one of those cleanings isn't covered).

What a waste of my time and money. My new dentist (NOT Kumar) did a beautiful job replacing my old fillings. It had been about 10 months since my last cleaning, and they looked and said my teeth were doing fine. Dr. Kumar just wants your money. The additional star is only because his staff is nice.

I have been going to Dr. Kumar for over 10 years and I have always had a great experience there. The moment you walk in you're greeted by Shannon who is very polite and efficient and Cathy who always remembers the last story you guys were talking about at your last appt. The ladies there are all very kind and you truly feel like family when you're there. I have had everything from cleanings with Cathy to root canals. I trust Dr Kumar and highly recommend him.

I've been going to Dr. Kumar for over a year now and can't say enough good things. His bedside manner is second to non and his staff are very friendly and attentive. I had my first root canal today and was terrified, however it was actually a pain free experience. I highly recommend Dr. Kumar and staff.

I had a horrible experience with another dentist and on the advice of my sister in law who has been a patient of Dr. Kumar's for years decided to give his office a shot. I've only been a couple times now but the receptionist Shannon is amazing and I find Dr. Kumar to be very knowledgeable. Just recently while being 5 months pregnant I experienced extreme pain in one of my wisdom teeth and they were able to work me in for a same day appointment which I greatly appreciated! I look forward to being a patient for years to come!

Dr. Kumar took a tooth that had a very small cavity and turned it into a highly sensitive, difficult-to-eat-with pain in my mouth. Mind you, I had no issues with the tooth previously. I went back to my old dentist and he showed me x-rays that had been taken six months prior. He didn't even have that tooth listed as a problem tooth because the cavity had not progressed to the point of needing a filling.

In short, a tooth that would have been just fine to correct itself with proper dental hygiene was filled for almost no reason, and now my mouth is killing me a week later. I sincerely don't know why they make you take some many numbing shots for a standard filling. It was beyond unusual. I was administrated two shots to numb my mouth, then they attempted ba third shot ten minutes late.

I have had no fewer than a dozen fillings in my life-- that is not normal. I was in tremendous pain the entire time and could not wait to leave the office. For the first time ever, I actually bled during a standard filling. I still don't understand why. I've had extractions and root canals that were more pleasant. The office will comment back on this and tell me that I should have taken the third shot of numbing agent.

Why was that even necessary? Why wouldn't you give me the proper shot the first time? Again, this is not my first rodeo. These practices are bizarre. Keep looking. No reason I needed to bleed during a standard filling. No reason I should need three shots for a single filling. No reason I should have pain in my mouth, a week later. I was looking for a new dentist after some billing issues with my old dentist. I'm going back to my old dentist, Dr. Bell at North Tampa Dentistry, for all dental needs from now on.

I've been coming to Dr. Kumar for 8 years now and highly recommend this practice. Cleanings with Kathy overlooking the koi pond have become like a spa day! The team always makes me feel welcomed and works with me on payment details to relieve stress. As a head and neck cancer patient/broke patient, Dr. Kumar and team set me up with my post radiation care exam and have always been wonderful. In a world with some pretty arrogant dentists out there, Dr. Kumar's offers stellar service at very reasonable prices. Plus, they have become my friends!

Have had two major procedures done, each involving at least two appointments. Everything has always very gone well, and everyone there is kind and attentive. It's worth noting I have a bit of a phobia about going to the dentist. I've always been made to feel very calm and comfortable, unlike a couple places I'd been to before. It's a small practice, so the schedule is tight, but it's worth the wait, especially if you have anxiety about going to the dentist.

Dr Kumar wasted my time. Instead of making me a mouth guard I needed, he decided to waste weeks instead of telling me he can't make me one. Apparently, he's not confident in his skills to produce quality work. He spends like 2 minutes with a patient and barely gets to know you or your name. You're just an X-ray. Clearly he'd rather avoid good quality customer service and do the bare minimum. Hell, the staff does most of the work anyhow. Mindy is great.

So are the rest is the ladies. The best part is this place is the koi pond. Please don't bother. And always leave reviews of your doctor/dentist experiences. Let's make this elite class accountable and beg for our 5 star ratings like every other business does.
