Terrible labwork. I had minimum partials, one top and bottom made with this facility. A tooth fell out of the bottom partial, and then a tooth fell out of the top partial within a relatively short period of time. No compensation, or repair of their poor lab work was offered. Just a $59.00 exam fee plus $204.00 for each replacement tooth. The fit of the partials was awful as they rubbed against the inside my cheek, and cut my gums raw in another place No, I did NOT have the work done by them. Who could trust T. Oaks Dental again?

Went in for my first cleaning and xrays which is included in my insurance from my job at the time. They said do you want to pay an extra 15$ for some scan/photos to detect gum damage. I said yes and paid the 15$. When i went in they did the photos and xrays then had me go into another room and do more xrays. They barely cleaned my teeth and couldn't figure out how to use dental floss.

It seemed like it was everyones first day doing dental work. Later I got a HUGE bill! they were trying to charge me $90 for each photo(They took 4 or 5) they overcharged me for Covid equipment which was illegal, And some other misc. charges that even the insurance company were very concerned about and had no idea why I was charged that. After a couple of conversations with my insurance company (since I could never get a straight answer from Thousand Oaks Dental group) My insurance company called them several times and finally got the bill dropped to $0.00.

This place is very shady with their billing and I would definitely record the people at the front desk when entering and record the visit so that these kinds of things don't happen to anyone else. Highly recommend going to any other Dentist first.

Old. Set in my ways. I don't write reviews. This is the first. Problems with your teeth? Maybe a tooth? Maybe you just want to keep them problem free. Looking for a doctor who is a great humanitarian, physically fit, a helluva classical guitar player, with half-decent jokes, masterful dental skills, and a first-rate dental office and staff. You've found it. Dr. Dean Lambridis and the folks at Thousand Oaks Dental and Orthodontics. Truly, a better dental experience.

Brought my 13 year old here to be evaluated for braces. Notified the office ahead of appointment that my son has sensory issues and needs gentleness and appropriate interaction for dental work. Went through entire evaluation only to be told the orthodontist REFUSED to treat my son due to his disability sensory issues. Outright discrimination and a complete waste of time. Filed complaint with office and no follow up or apology. Horrible experience. Do not give them your business!

Thank you Dr. Ghaffar and staff! I recently went to Thousand Oaks Dental Group for my regular cleaning and Dr. Ghaffar and the staff took great care of me. Everyone from checking in at the front desk, to X-ray, to assistants and Dr. Ghaffar were all caring and dedicated professionals. This was my second visit, and last year when I came for my cleaning, I had the same great experience.

Last year, I needed to get a filling and was amazed by the advanced level of dentistry. Dr. Ghaffar was caring and attentive to my comfort as she prepared my tooth. I was then given multiple options from a traditional metal filling to an on-lay which not only matches my natural tooth but is made on-site. My tooth was scanned by a computer creating a 3D model from which the on-lay was created to precisely match my tooth. The level of care and advanced technology was beyond anything I was expecting.

Terrible labwork. Partial scrapped my gums, made my gums raw, and the fit was still uncomfortable after 2 return trips to the dentist for adjustments. Two of the teeth in the partial are yellow. Wasted money! Oh yes, one tooth fell out of the upper partial. The dental office wanted me to submit to another exam, and do molds to repair the tooth. That was a way to extract a large bill for nothing. Went back to my former dentist, and she had her lab affix the tooth into the partial without all that other expense. Perfect repair without all the unnecessary hassle and cost. Better dentist, better lab.

I went to the Thousand Oaks dentist to have a back tooth removed plus to have a front tooth refilled. I had already seen my old dentist (a very good one but was no longer on my insurance plan) for these and knew what was needed plus any potential costs. This dentist told me that I needed bone grafting (for a rear tooth that would not be replaced?).

The out of pocket cost would be $1,800 and it was an emergency. She also said that my front tooth filling needed a crown since the tooth was cracked. I said I wanted to get a second opinion. I went back to my old dentist and had the front tooth filing done for $245 cash. No, it was NOT cracked. Plus he removed the rear tooth for $175. He said the grafting would have been needed if I had wanted to replace the tooth, but that $1,800 was really high!

I just called and tried to make a cleaning appointment. At first Brook said no problem and which dentist did I use? I then gave my name to Brook. Several minutes later she came back and said there were no appointments for five months, that they were short staffed. I use Delta Dental insurance that doesn't pay well. I feel it all works out in the end for them since if they do a good job and give options and fair pricing I'll send other people to them. Unfortunately I feel obligated to let others know of my negative experience. I will also let Delta Dental know.

I don't normally write reviews, but saw some of the others here and had to give my review. I've had a great experience at Thousand Oaks Dental ever since I've been going, which is a little over 5 years ago now. My wife and daughter goes there too and also, nothing but good things to say. For one, they are on time and don't keep you waiting. Second, they are all very friendly and remember my name- I feel like part of the family.

And most importantly, I think they do a great job. They don't push products like their own expensive brand of toothpaste like my old dentist. And they don't just say everything is fine while my teeth and gums need work, like the dentist before. They work with me, stand by what they do, and I feel they really care. I love my dentist, hygienist, and the whole team there.

My husband and I both have dental insurance. this is where their eyes lit up. I have a 14 year old daughter that they wanted to do a crown on. I told them I needed to discuss the cost with my husband and held off. I went for a second opinion and was told no she didn't need a crown, she only had a cavity and it wasn't even big. When I received the insurance claim they had charged my insurance for "Hygiene Instruction" and a "Fluoride" treatment.

It seems they have this great big expensive machine that does porcelain crowns right in house. I figure they must need to use it since I hear these machines cost about $90k. I also went in and they wanted to do a crown on me. yes needed in my case but I don't like porcelain and that was what they wanted to push on me. I tried getting in touch with them to discuss additional options but I never received a response.

They like to do work right there and then, I'm guessing since I wanted to talk it over with my husband they didn't want to deal with me. The dentist I went to today told me about the services he offered and said "we don't charge ridiculously for services that are part of your work". Only go here if you need a crown RIGHT NOW and money is of no object to you!

They are nice people and have a heart because they help install water sources in other countries through fund raising BUT like some other reviewers said more like salesmen then dental professionals.
