Dr. Babayan is very passionate about orthodontics. Born and raised in Southern California, he truly enjoys his job, working with his team at Mission City Orthodontics, and most of all, spending time with his patients. During your complimentary consultation, we will explain everything that you will need to know about your orthodontic treatment, so that you can choose what's best for you - no strings attached.
The cost of treatment depends on the severity of the patient's problem. You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before treatment begins. We have payment plans to suit different budgets, including a no downpayment option. We also accept assignment from most insurance plans, and file the necessary papers to the insurance company.

I absolutely love the staff at mission city orthodontist they are so kind and caring, all three of my children have braces, this place has changed their smiles, I call them million dollar smiles, their bites are amazing, their teeth are aligned and their appointments are always made right away, the front desk is on it, and definitely reach out to Laurie, she is so kind and caring and his the right hand there, this place has been with my family for years and I recommend them to anyone who needs braces, if you could only see the wonderful work they've done on my children's teeth, please give them a try, you won't regret it

6/28/2021 I cannot in good conscience recommend Dr. Eric Babayan to other parents looking for an orthodontist. We took our son to get braces and palate expanders earlier this month (June 2021). During an impression taking of my son's mouth, the technician did not notice that my son was having trouble breathing and started to flail his legs and arms. Tears began to stream down his face and he began to vomit.
The technician kept the mechanism despite the warning signs that my son was terrified. My husband needed to intervene and remove the impression mechanism from his mouth. It was an incredibly traumatic experience. The technician failed to adequately prepare my son with what was needed to do the impression. She neglected to ascertain his condition and ask him if he was tolerating the mechanism as she performed the procedure.
Another technician came in and was able to take the impression by soothing my 10-year old son, she was a pro. After such an awful experience, no one from the office called to discuss the situation. We reached out to the office and spoke with Esmeralda, the technician who performed the impression successfully. At first her tone was defensive but she eventually was understanding and made a note on our son's chart not to have that technician work on my son.
After the weekend, we then received a call from the office manager, who did not take any responsibility for the technician who failed, and actually treated us with hostility and defensiveness and told us we were no longer patients of Dr. Babayan and that all money would be refunded. Then we spoke with Dr. Babayan, and this is the most disappointing part of all, he claimed he had concerns with my son's gag reflex and ability to move forward with the orthodontic work needed.
He basically quit as a way to take no accountability and is trying to use my son as his excuse. My son has a growth disorder and sees several doctors each year and recently had outpatient surgery, an MRI, and extensive mouth X-rays with no problems and doctors remarked on how brave he is during difficult procedures. The doctor's concerns are unfounded and come from a place of fear and denial.
There is so much that can be learned from this failure. He could train his technicians to explain each procedure to the child, he could have them ask how they are doing throughout the procedure, he could train them to look for warning signs of vomiting and choking. Instead of using this failure as a chance to grow and develop his team, he chose to drop us.
His inability to serve his patients speaks to his character and work as an orthodontist. Do not bring your children here; they will be discarded without a thought if you have any type of agency to speak up when your child is being mistreated.

I would highly recommend Dr. Babayan and his wonderful staff if you want quality work. My son just started his treatment here with his braces and we are very impressed. The office is super clean, high tech and everyone from Dr. Babayan to the girls in the back and front office have been very accommodating with us. My schedule is not flexible and I have to bing my 9 year old son early before school.
They have gone out of their way to make sure I can have an appointment available. Also Dr. Babayan answers all my questions at every visit. I'm happy that he's the only doctor there treating my son at all times. I truly feel I have made the right decision in choosing the best orthodontist for my son. Very happy.

The new office is really nice! My daughter's teeth look perfect. I am done paying off her braces. It was affordable especially with the good payment plans. She is going to get her braces off next time and she is extremely excited. The staff is very friendly. She loves coming here and she loves Dr. Eric Babayan.

I usually don't write reviews unless a certain place has really made a difference for me. I want to write a review for Mission City Orthodontics because I've been very happy with the way my daughter has been treated by the Dr. and staff for the past year. Her teeth have straightened out so well and her entire personality has changed. And I did not have to pay an arm and a leg like some of the other places I went to.
Thank you Dr. Babayan for all your hard work and care. And also, thank you to all the girls for going out of your way to work around my schedule. I highly recommend Dr Eric Babayan if you want a quality and caring place to have your kids' or your teeth straightened.
