The consultation seemed quite lovely but that day that I when surgery she was very intense in a hurry Ivery aggressive in my mouth didn't understand pain management at all just wanted to keep going as I'm jumping out of the chair when I went back for my follow up I was in major pain and I believe I had an infection she passed it off as not possible she does not hear me. Ishe didn't even know I had a root canal in that tooth so that means she didn't take any x-rays to make sure she knew what she was looking at. she believes in dark ages Advil and Tylenol FDA epidemic so therefore she bypassed the pain called her again another week later sent me back to the root canal specialist where he gave me two rounds of anabiotic due to severe infection if she had treated a properly I would've never had to go through two rounds which cost me 150 extra dollars because I don't have insurance that's how bad the infection was and pain pills what 10 I still have five left how hard is that very disappointed cut bone and gum and acted like it was no big deal I think she's all about the money I wouldn't recommend her

I was referred to Dr. Tai even though the dental clinic who referred me already had their own periodontist! That says a WHOLE LOT about the trust they put on Dr. Tai. I had major recession of my tooth on the lower jaw to the point I might have lost it if it wasn't for Dr. Tai. After just my first procedure of gum grafting, I feel so much better, my tooth is intact, the gum graft is healing well and I owe it all to Dr. Tai! She is a miracle worker and her passion for patient care and her profession if evident. Thank you Dr. Tai and your staff as well.

Dr. Tai is a knowledgeable and very professional dentist. She is very detailed oriented and explains the problem with using pictures and X Rays to make sure patient understands the care plan very well. I always have had a best result with her work!

I recently had a gingivectomy and Tori reduction of my upper and lower gums by Dr. Tai. I wish I could give her 10 stars because I absolutely love the work she did. She is thorough, caring, and extremely talented. I've wanted to get this procedure done for years and I am beyond happy that I was recommended to go to her. My smile is gorgeous!

Dr. Alice Tai is an excellent periodontist! She takes her time, listens and provides excellent care. I am dental phobic and she makes me feel totally at ease! Her office staff is helpful, kind and caring! Best dental care I've had in a very long time!

Dr. Tai is an excellent periodontist! She takes the time to explain the procedure, answer questions, and her work is exceptional. Never fun to have gum grafts, but under her care she made the experience comfortable. She even called hours after the procedure to check in. Highly recommend Dr. Tai and her staff.

Update after receiving a lengthy email from the surgeon in response to my honest yelp review.just to clarify, there were several treatment plans discussed. One involved all the work I had done as mentioned in my original review. One opinion was to hire an anesthesiologist ( $$$$) and complete all the work in a 6 or 7 hour procedure. I chose to go with not being put under an not have my family pay the additional cost of the anesthesiologist.

Either course i went, it would have been followed by 5 implants. And yes, the estimate was 30k. This work was done in march. Since then i have been with a dentist who is doing filling, crowns, an flex partials instead of implants. My best friend is a RDA an has been for 2 decades. She has been a wealth of knowledge. Just to clarify, as my original honest opinion clearly stated, this practice did good work and if a person who needs an oral surgeon does NOT have severe phobias, anxiety and can handle the pain that comes with extracting abscessed teeth, dental scaling and bone grafting then, this practice should suit you fine.

I am a dentist, surgeon and doctors worst patient as a result of my out of my control extreme anxiety, phobias and low tolerance for pain especially when being required to work on my feet 24 hours after oral surgery. My point was that in my honest opinion, this practice is not equipped to handle a patient like myself. I have nor had any intention of damaging her practice or " hurting her feelings " the email I received from this practice continued to imply that I was someone who was seeking drugs.

This was deeply offensive to me in March when working with this practice an is deeply hurtful to read in an email. All doctors, dentists, surgeons, general practitioners and mental health professionals have access to ALL a patient's medical records. My personal records show anti anxiety meds at a high dose for almost 4 decades in other fields then the dental field.

So to make any patient feel as though their doctor is judging you and implying that you are a drug seeking is hurtful and offensive. Updated this to just reiterate there is no attempt to hurt this practice an to specifically warn people who are extremely phobic and anxiety ridden like myself.

I have been a patient of Dr Tai for over 20 years. During this time I have had several Periodontal procedures including gum surgery and implants. I have always been very impressed with her professionalism and "chairside" manner. I feel the same way about Dr. Tai's office staff. I enthusiastically give Dr. Tai my highest recommendation.

Excellent, great listener, dedicated to her field and her patients. Would highly recommend. Dr Tai was able to diagnose my problem in moments. Thanks to her help, I'm feeling better!

The greediest doctor I have ever met! If there were zero star, I would definitely choose it! She keeps sending you bills after claiming thousand of dollars from insurance company just for a small periodontal treatment which didn't work at all! I was cured well by other dentist at low insurance claim amount and no charge from my pocket! If Dr. Alice Tai thinks she can get more profit from the deal, she will chase you and knock you down to the end of the world! Stay away from this greedy doctor! There are a lot of other good dentists with great skill and great ethics!

I had periodontics surgery in Dr. Tai's office about two years ago. My gum in one area had deep pocket and it smelled bad no matter how thoroughly I tried to brush my teeth. The surgery went so well, two years later my gum is very healthy, and the bad smell is gone. Dr. Tai is compassionate, gentle, yet very skillful. Lisa and Anna in the front office are also very friendly and caring.

Recently I recommended my husband to Dr. Tai for similar surgery like mine. The surgery was so successful, he did not experience much pain after the surgery. We were expecting major pain and swelling because my husband's surgery was more extensive than mine. He followed Dr. Tai's post surgery care instruction step by step. The recovery is nice and smooth so far. I strongly recommend Dr. Tai to anyone who needs periodontics surgery.

Dr Tai and her staff are fantastic. They answered every question I had an gave me options in my treatment plan to best fit my comfort level with still getting the work done. I wouldn't trust the work to have been completed by anyone other than Dr Tai. Her personal follow up the night of my surgery is part of the added touch that I love about this office. Would recommend Dr Tai to anyone needed any perio work done.

Wow, this office is all after your money. My daughter had a periodontal surgery done here, at the first appointment everything was sweet as can be, all the greeting and checking up on her afterward. A week later, she was supposed to go back for check up, and also some sutures still bother her so was looking forward to see Dr. Tai. We showed up at the appointment and the whole freaking office was closed.

The only lady there said that we don't have you on schedule, acted like i'm some kind of liar or lunatic. I even had the appointment card. Unbelievable service. I wish I can speak to the doctor, but as usual, these places go after your money and the doctors will look the other way. I'm not sure if my daughter's surgery went well or not because after a week she's still in pain so I won't write the review for dr. Tai performance. But base on the service we received, never again!

I had my surgery about 12-13 years ago by Dr Tai, and just heard from my current dentist, during my cleaning routine, that my gum is in great shape still! I am so happy I did the surgery back then, and that I had Dr Tai for the procedure! Gum disease is now linked to so many critical health issues and my gum was a mess before the surgery, not any more! Thanks again, Dr Tai!

I think Dr. Tai is a first rate doctor and also a super compassionate person. I met her when I needed gum loss repair, she did the surgery and did an excellent job as my gums look great now. I love her staff as well always helpful and know how to process insurance and treat you like you are their friend.not just a no name patient. About six months ago I had a mouth pain issue that in the end turned out to be not teeth related, it was a difficult process of elimination to figure it all out. Dr. Tai called me on her own to help direct me as she knew I was freaked out and she felt I was seeking the wrong help.

I followed her suggestion and she was correct. I so appreciate her compassion and concern. Hard to find a doc like her. I only go to her office for cleanings now too as I feel they really get in deep and get things squeaky clean!

I had many implants put in a few years ago and recently had some gum surgery done. Her work is unparalleled, amazing and she is very compassionate. The staff is kind and efficient. Totally great experience.

I found Dr. Tai's performance concerning my surgery to be exceptional. I did experience problems with the office's insurance representative concerning what the insurance would pay. Sept 19, 2014: After 7 months, I received a new billing invoice from a staff member containing finance charges at 15%. I was concerned about the new charges, and why I would receive it 7 months later.
