Rad Orthodontics

I had a bad experience with this place. I felt that I wasted my money. The doctor was nice but the end-result was not what I expected, in my opinion, they were just in a rush to get me out of their office because it was the end of the day and I was frustrated. I wouldn't recommend them and I wrote a review reflecting that. The office contacted me and I felt pushed to delete that review; I felt intimidated, they even called on a weekend.

Eventually I deleted the review due their pressure and what I felt was harrassment. I decided to re-post the review because I felt that the bullied and intimidated and more importantly because I was not happy with the services provided. --- Response to Owner's reply: Yes, I am 100% sure it is the right business. I still have the email from somebody in the office asking to remove the review.

I think that I also have the phone records for the calls. I don't want to talk to any of the doctors or visit the office. The review represents my opinion about the business during my regular interaction plus the whole issue about the review.

I really recommend this place. My awesome dentist recommended them and I am absolutely happy with them. As a person who have dental issues all my life to the point of make it a complexe about it, I needed an emotionally safe place. Dentists and staff make you feel comfortable and relax. We already plan to take our child to this place when it will be the time.

My wife got some dental work done at this office. They promised her a permanent fix, but only to find out that they lied after a year. She went for a fix and they said she has to pay for her visit and the fix every time. If you charged us $8000.00 for the work and it's falling apart after a year then why are you charging us again for fixing your mistake?

Rad and his Crew are amazing, not only did they help find the appropriate price for my budget they made me and my son feel like we were the up most of importance every visit along the way. Definitely would recommend them to any one

I had a fantastic experience! The staff is welcoming and helpful, and Dr. Mehdy Rad's bedside manner is outstanding. He answered my questions and walked me through the process of removing my wires. He also took great care to remove all glue residue, which I appreciate. My wire removal definitely was a highlight of my week! :

After considering Invisalign treatments for the past 3 years I finally decided take the first step and schedule an appointment. The scheduling team at Rad Orthodontics are incredible super friendly and very informative. It was quick and easy scheduling my complimentary consultation, in no more than 3 minutes my appointment was booked for next week.

With the current pandemic and being a new patient I thought I'd had to wait months before I could come in. I am very shocked and excited that I have an appointment less than a week away. The Scheduling team provided me with a wonderful experience from the first phone call! I can't wait to officially become a part of the Rad Family!

Came in for a consult to get adult Invisalign about 2 weeks ago. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Dr. Rad was awesome! Very prompt service, great intro, and the staff was very helpful! Definitely an impressionable first visit!

I usually don't write reviews, but I have always been extremely satisfied with the office and the service provided. The doctors are always pleasant and take the time to answer my questions and I never feel rushed. The front desk has always been extremely helpful and even when I asked a simple question they would explain in understandable terms. Upon my last visit, I had a billing/insurance question and the young woman I spoke with was extremely helpful, explained everything to me in layman's terms and made me feel very at ease. She was such a pleasure to talk to and helped in making my visit even better than it already was. Hat's off to an excellent office!

I saw Dr. Petrarca for a few years. Braces, retainer, etc. He is knowledgeable and has a bit of an odd charm, but his anger is inappropriate and unprofessional. When I didn't wear my retainer as I was supposed to, he acted as if I had threatened his family. Keep in mind, I was a child at the time. My patronage ended there. Way too many talented orthadonists in the metro area to see someone with anger issues.

Dr. Petrarca is the best orthodontist! He is extremely thorough, a perfectionist, and most importantly truly cares about his patients and their health not only while being treated but also in the future. I have a very unique case where I'm genetically missing several teeth. I saw Dr. P about 12 years ago and he was the only orthodontist out of the several I consulted with who created a unique plan for me that considered my future need for teeth implants.

Through braces, Dr. P even reduced the number of implants necessary so I would not only need less dental work but also so I wouldn't need as many implants that could affect my sinuses. He also made special retainers with teeth in them to hold the spaces for me until I was ready for implants. Unfortunately, I didn't listen and didn't wear my retainers so when it came time to get implants my teeth had shifted. Dr. P agreed to treat me once more on the condition I wear my retainer and can make the appointments.

He understands that as an adult now, I don't want my braces to be as visible and has worked with me to create a plan that combines braces and invisalign to get the job done right in a short period of time without breaking the bank, especially considering my need for dental implants. He is very caring and considerate and while not a super verbose guy, will give you the necessary time and explanations.

You can tell he loves his work and is not motivated by money. The office looks exactly the same as it did and most of the staff is the same. It is simple and clean. The admins are actually a lot nicer and it's easy to schedule or change an appointment. Dr. Petrarca is the only orthodontist I trust, which is why I have returned to him. I couldn't recommend him more!

My daughter, nephew and cousin all went to Dr. P and had a positive experiences. My daughter was in an expander for two years and then full braces for another three years. The results were great and hers was a difficult case. He is nice and calm. Some dentists and orthodontists can be pushy. He is not. In fact, he is well thought of in the area, and was recommended by our family dentist.

I went to Dr. Petrarca for braces 13 years ago. I had the braces on for about 1-2 years got them off had a retainer and my teeth looked great. I wore the retainer faithfully but then I started noticing that I was developing a gap between my teeth. Dr. Petrarca told me that I had a swallowing disorder which led to the gap. He told me the necessary speech therapy to do, which I did.

Because I had religiously been seeing him twice a year, he did the invisalign treatment and hooks on my teeth to close the gap. After a year, I got the hooks off and now just wear the invisalign at night. My teeth look great again, and he didn't charge me a cent for the invisalign! His office runs very efficiently and he can be a bit quick with patients. I come to see a dentist or health professional for sound advice and treatment, which he provides.

The teeth looked great until about a month before he removed the braces. I told him exactly what I didnt like and he acted mad at me. I couldn't get a compliment from anyone after two years of braces here. I ended up loosing my retainer after a year, and thinking, "thank goodness." Now my teeth are crooked again, too bad for me, no loss to him. I took my daughter somewhere else for her braces.

Dr. Petrarca is one of the best orthodontists, perhaps in this universe. Him and his staff work as a well-oiled team which does not miss a step and gets 4-5 patients out on 30 minutes! The office has not changed much in the 5 years since I've been there. Really homey wooden chairs and tables stacked with dental magazines, People, Insider, etc.

Good for parents & kids alike. What I used to love as a kid were all the goodies that he had, T shirts, erasers in the shape of molars, pop-up calendars, etc. It's almost like he's the Willy Wonka of the dental world. Dr. Petrarca himself is a sweet, down-to-earth person though his office has gotten extremely busy with new clients from the best of MoCo.

He truly cares about every single one of his patients and never, ever makes them feel uncomfortable. Even when they "forgot" to wear their retainers for a few weeks. Ahem. His name may sound familiar to you. I found him because he was rated the #1 Ortho by Bethesda magazine. Yes, this is shameless advertising on my part for Dr. Petrarca but it is true. I'm so glad I followed a magazine that directed me toward his little office on the corner of Democracy.
