Disappointing, disorganized and discriminating! I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews and unfortunately I left very disappointed. They failed starting with the basics of entering the right information, and obtaining dental information, which I can ignore. However, after giving them and registering my insurance information they pulled me out of the dentist chair to treat me like some kind of criminal that I didn't have insurance because of a basic failure on their admin part to enter and search the right information.

This person who's name starts with a "K" --you would think she would apologize instead went on being rude and dismissive. When I elevated this to their admin they told me that just go on google reviews and again no apology or effort to acknowledge. They failed to obtain my dental record so my visit was done based on guess work for the most part. The hygienist was nice and detailed which I appreciated but didn't use a glove which was weird in light of Covid.

They also wanted to know where I was "really" from if I always grew up in the U.S., how long I have been here all detailed questions that I am sure they wouldn't ask if I looked like a majority of their staff-- didn't appreciate the microaggression just came in for a regular dental visit not to be treated with disrespect and othered. Update: Response from them basically sorry not sorry. Noted!

Four generations of my family and I have entrusted all our dental care to Dr. Walter Hunt and Personal Care Dentistry for 35 years. We are always pleased with the personalized care, expert knowledge, and professionalism from the beginning. And now that Dr. Hunt shares his amazing nature photos with insightful writings for all of us to share in, we realize what an extraordinary human being he is, which has been passed on to his entire team. My experience was great as it Always is at this Wonderful dental Office. Very Professional and I had X-rays too that were comfortable and well done! This is the best place to go to and my favorite place that I have recommended to many others!

Great experience with dentistry service but I would prefer they did not charge a 4% swipe fee on my HSA debit card. I understand that credit cards charge a swipe fee to the business, but generally a debit fee is less and really is a cost of doing business. It costs me.50 cents for my bank to print up a check plus the stamp to mail it and I would not ask that my bill be reduced.50 for the fee I'm charged to pay by check.

Very friendly, very prompt and very professional. I feel confident in trusting them with my dental care.

I always have a great experience at PCD. The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. They really know what they are doing. I have the utmost confidence that I'm getting the best possible care and advice. A top notch organization that I highly recommend.

Have been going here for about 6 years. Over the years, about half of the work that they have done to my teeth (fillings & crown) has had to be re-done for various reasons within only 4-5 years. Examples: Half the crown fell off on the SIDE, no damage to the top where they said they would typically see damage. The Doctor who re-did it for me eventually said that it was made far too thin and he ended up charging me nothing after seeing how poorly it was done originally (weirdly somehow this didn't make it into their "notes" and when they talked to me about this most recently they said they have no record of anyone saying it was their fault and their records show that I paid them to re-do it.).

Another filling was re-done after the hygenist noticed some extra filling material left between my teeth (also they conveniently don't have this in their records and just say it was a "normal gap" that they thought they should fix). Another filling has cracked after only a couple years, etc, etc. I have never had this issue with any of the work done by dentists in the past.

Any work that they re-do after 4 years, they say is "normal" and will re-charge the patient. I don't believe this to be normal and am not happy with the explanations they give me (one lady even told me over the phone that it must be my fault because I grind my teeth? Even though I've never been told by any dentist ever that I ever grind my teeth! She said it really just must be my fault to have so many things going wrong). They refused to fix the most recent cracked filling (done only 4 years ago) at no cost to me, so that's the last straw for me! Off to a new dentist.

I had a toothache so i went here because they had the most available appointment. Dr. Kyle did some basic tests and concluded I needed a crown on one of my teeth. So I said okay and did the crown. Rating it a 1 because I felt the same pain a few weeks later and so I called the office and made an appointment. A couple of days before the appointment, the receptionist called and said she needed to cancel the appointment.

She said Dr. Kyle recommended me to an Endodontist. This seemed weird. I went to an Endodontist today and he questioned why I had a crown put there as it was unnecessary and the pain was from the tooth in front of it. So i got a crown for no reason and now I received a root canal in the affected tooth.and i have to get another crown! IDK why it's rated that many stars.

I have been going to Personal Care Dentistry for a number of years. I came across Personal Care Dentistry because my last dental group told me that I needed an expensive undertaking for my teeth. Personal Care Dentistry recommended a simple, reasonably-priced option that worked perfectly. The staff and dentists there are always very friendly, understanding, accommodating and do an excellent job on my teeth. Many of the hygienists have given me great tips that have worked very well. I am so happy I found Personal Care Dentistry.

Great, friendly, personable dentists and staff. Always feel like they care about me personally. They are upfront -- they always tell me what the procedure is going to cost before doing the work then it's my decision to have it done or not.

I've been a patient at Personal care Dentistry for a couple of years and have the upmost respect for the doctors as I recognize the amazing work they do. However, today on my visit I've never felt so humiliated. I believe it's important to make your patients feel comfortable but it's also important to make them feel welcomed, and I did not feel welcomed with the woman I spoke with today.

I had an appointment at 7:30am and was immediately turned around due to my health insurance not qualifying. That is totally understandable but it's how she delivered the message, she was extremely loud whereas the woman behind me heard as well as other people in the lobby. She continued to speak loudly telling me that they will not see me today because they don't take medical from the state.

I believe that should have been corrected when I booked my appointment and informed them about my current health insurance. I wish it could have been handled more professionally and with an effort to preserve confidentiality.

Personal Care Dentistry makes it easy to go to the dentist. Dr. Hunt's staff is efficient, kind and caring. My hygienist makes me feel very comfortable as she cleans my teeth, the time goes fast! Be sure to check out Dr. Hunt's photography on the walls while your there, so fun to look at!

When I walked in I was pleasantly greeted, my time was respected in that my appointment started on time, and my hygienist was thorough yet easy to talk with and a great listener. Dr. Hunt was also thorough and explained everything that was going on. It's obvious that everyone there cares about their patients - really cares. Highly recommended!

I saw Breanne and she was an amazing Hygienist. I was leery going to a new place. My former dentist didn't take my new insurance. She greeted me with a smile and was friendly and nice. She took her time and listened to what I liked most about the other place I went for 20 years. She was great and I will be going back there to see her.

I have been a patient of Personal Care Dentistry for about 30 years. Dr. Walter Hunt has been my dentist for all those years. He has also been available, kind, and gentle, which is so important as I have a pretty bad case of "dentist phobia". The employees from the hygienists, to the front desk and the business office, are always exceptionally helpful and considerate.

I have recommended PCD to members of my family and friends, and all have thanked me for that! I feel that the prices for service are reasonable and their PCD Care credit is a good deal, particularly if you need extensive work done. Thank you all for taking such great care of me and my family all these years!

The best dentistry in the Twin Cities hands down. Dr. Kyle is very kind and a professional in all aspects. I highly recommend them to everyone, especially those who have any sort of dentist anxiety, as they are experts at making you feel comfortable!

Best dental office I've been to. All of the doctors and hygienist's help me to feel comfortable during each appointment. Becky has always been accurate with my account, what my insurance covers and does not cover as well as explaining my treatment plan to my understanding. I appreciate that very much. When I walk into the office at Personal Care Dentistry I am greeted by friendly staff. They treat you like you are part of their family. The hygienist I see does an amazing job of making me feel comfortable and Dr Hunt and his son are always friendly. I've gone to several dentists over the years but now that I go to Personal Care I won't go anywhere else. The entire staff is great. Thanks Lynn for recommending Personal Care Dentistry. Kari Olson is the best! I actually look forward to my 6 month cleaning, I'm a Florida resident now but I will always be a Personal Dentistry/Kari client. Everyone is very professional and very kind from start to finish!

I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Kyle and his staff! They are professional, yet personable and really care about my health and wellbeing. Working with Dr. Kyle and his team has always a pleasant experience! 1. Dr. Kyle Hunt is bad at skills. He did root canal and crown for me and it has been proved to be a disaster. Whenever I see other doctors and dental specialist, they all said the root canal and crown that he did is terrible and will cause serious issue. 2. Jenna has great attitude when she was doing regular/deep cleaning, I think everyone likes her. That is the reason I improve from one star to two star.

Kyle hunt messed up my root canal. I told him I could still feel pain his exact words were "that impossible I did it perfect" four years later I'm crying in bed from the worst pain of my life. Also who the eff makes their new patients go on "tour" of their gallery of art work to try and get them to buy a painting. Your paintings suck.

At first I fell in love with the convenient location, friendly receptionists, and updated facilities here. But after about 5+ visits, I gotta break up with PCD and their great keurig selection. My experiences have been so inconsistent here. The first time I visited, they said they found some jaw bone misalignment on my X-ray, and referred me immediately to a specialist. PCD's X-Ray/conclusion turned out to be incorrect. Also, during a cleaning, one dentist said that everything looked fine and I didn't have any cavities.

But then the next doctor swooped in and was like, "you need a filling". Ugh. Lastly, I needed a thick bite guard made for my TMJ, but instead I received a thin retainer, even though I have straight teeth. The hygienist was even confused by the discrepancies of the notes made by different doctors on my file. Oh, and one time I checked in and was waiting for a little while, when the receptionist called me on my cell phone to tell me I was late to my appointment. That one is actually kinda funny (but kinda not).

Fantastic dental office in the Roseville / St. Paul area! Been a patient of Dr. Hunt and his son for the last 14 years. Tried others in the area prior to using Personal Care Dentistry and was disappointed. Found a winner with Dr. Hunt. Personal care is not just a name, its their way of doing business - from the hygienist cleaning care to crowns and other dental work, they are great. Highly recommend!

What an amazing experience. I was listened to, and treated will such care. My hygentist was gentle and caring. My dentist was kind and understanding. I honestly have never had such a good experience at a dentist. I am looking forward to my next apointmet. That sounds strange I know, but trust me when I say eveyperson In that office made me feel comfortable an offered no judgment whatsoever.

Dr. Teo was very informative, the whole place is pretty great.

Jenna is my dental care hygienist. She is the best dental care person I ever came across. She is very gentle and very caring. She also keeps me updated on what I need to do and how I can stay on top of my dental health. She is always trying to make sure insurance covers all the expenses so I barely ever had to pay anything.

I had a cleaning and was a new patient at this dentist. I had a good experience but the only reason why I gave it four stars and not five is that I really would've felt more comfortable if they explained mission of my teeth and any issues directly to me. I felt like they didn't explain a lot after the doctor checked on my teeth. It would've been very niceif the doctor talk directly to me and explained everything.

Great service and exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Very pleased with my experiences here. If you need your broken mug fixed and want the best dental experience you can find, this is the place.

For a very long time I needed a root canal but was stalling because I couldn't muster the courage (I know.). Finally, after many research and reviews I held my breath and went for it. OMG! I'm kicking my behind for not doing this sooner (even the reception was super friendly when I called to scheduled). When my appointment came, I met with Nancy and Dr. Kyle for my consultation.

They were very professional, listened to what I had to say, and we decided on a treatment plan. Two days later, I went in for my root canal. I was offered blankets and headphones to ease the anxiety and I took it! The procedure was smooth and stress free. Dr. Kyle offered to explained everything he was doing but I just wanted to get the tooth done and over with so I told him it wasn't necessary. Overall, I'm very satisfy with my experience.

Just moved to Minneapolis and had severe pain and no dentist. Was rendered here and I'm so glad because they were fantastic and saw me within an hour of calling. Entire staff is professional and friendly and make you feel taken care of.

It all started out with a simple cleaning and check out one of my lower molars. They are located in the Roseville Professionals building on the 3rd floor, the build looks really old but once you get to the 3rd floor it definitely looks like a brand new building. When you walk in you are always greated by the receptionist by your name! I was told by one of the dental asst. that this office has been updated not too long ago.

Everything was spotless, how do I know? I think all new patients gets a tour on where everything gets done. I got the regular cleaning/xrays. The dental hygienist I thought took her time cleaning my teeth which I really appreciated. Dr. Kyle was my dentist and took his time to explain to me on needed repairs. After the visit, they walk you out to the billing/paperwork portion of the visit. I've never had to sit down and go over what was done and how much my insurance did and didn't cover.

I thought this was a really good to understand on what you were going to be charged. I've never had that before when visiting the dentist. All in all, I went back and got the needed repairs and all went well. When my children gets older, really soon here I will definitely bring them here! They can usually get you in the same day if early enough. If not the next day, which is really convenient. They also do courtesy call the day before or day before the weekend/holiday to remind about your appt.

I'm an avid yelp app user and discovered this dentist there. This is my first visit there to work on a small chip in my front tooth from biting on things to open them. For future reference. Do not use teeth. Use scissors! Check in and registration were computerized. This was quick compared to Metro Dental. It does concern me some what only because if you are like me where you are on medications that these medications don't affect the treatments given. Kyle the owners son quickly sanded down the tiny chip and smoothed it out.

No further attention needed. I mentioned a concerned for teeth heaps beginning to show. He didn't push cosmetic procedures. He stated no concern unless it bothered me. Wait time was minimal. 20 minutes. I did make an appointment for myself and 2 others on the same day. They fit us all in. Relaxing waiting area with coffee and tea service. Bottled water also available. Going back to have $3,000 worth of dental work done for a 15 year old and roommate due to 3 root canals as well as several cavities. This is a preferred location for Delta Dental PPO.

I went here mainly because of its location. The staff is nice enough and Dr. Hunt senior is great. I changed my review mainly because of the comparison between this place and my new dentist in terms of accounting. Here, for some reason there would always be a bill or extra charge for something I wasn't made aware of. Pay for a crown or something one day and the next time there would be some residual again etc.

They say it's insurance and such but I just thought it happened fairly often. Haven't had the problem again after switching dentists and my current one is not even deemed "in network." The offices are nice enough, but again there a few things that make it sub par, and I couldn't have put it better as to describe it as two stars for Yelp that describes it as "meh. I've experienced better."

I've been away from the dentist for a couple of years and needed to get back into the routine. Found a few places on Yelp in my area and PCD had a couple of good reviews, so I made an appointment. My first visit was for x-rays and basic exam. We talked about options over and above the cleaning. When I left I was given an estimate and my costs relative to my insurance coverage.

As it turned out the charges were lower and my portion was lower too- great! Dr. Nelson and the rest of the staff did a wonderful job taking care of my needs- I highly recommend Personal Care Dentistry.
