Dental implants are a type of anchor placed into the jawbone in order to support some type of tooth replacement. Dental implants offer a wide range of treatment options, and the most common, is a single missing tooth replacement. A dental implant for the replacement of one missing tooth contains three important components.
Preventive dental care is a large category of dental services and treatments performed by your dentist and dental hygienist. As the name implies, preventive dental care aims to prevent dental problems. Almost all dental issues, including cavities, gum disease and cracked teeth, are preventable. By seeing your dentist on a consistent basis, they will catch any warning signs of high-risk areas and give you preventive options to stop those warning signs from progressing into disease.Because preventive dental care covers any treatment that prevents any dental disease, it encompasses a lot of different procedures.
Periodontitis, also known as gum disease, is a common problem. Most cases only go as far as tenderness and soft gums, but without the proper periodontal care, periodontitis can lead to loss of tissue and bone around the teeth and ultimately loss of the teeth themselves. Rose Dental Group offers quality periodontal care in Austin, TX.

Billing department is terrible, I went to have wisdom teeth removed, was quoted ~$600 which I payed, months later, they charged me another $600, they had done this bait ans switch before several times with cleanings and crowns, but not amounts like this time. They bill way more than the accepted fee, my wife had similar procedure at another practice and only payed $100 total. I'm never going there again

Been coming to Rose Dental for maybe 7 years. There's a good amount of turnover there. I loved my first 2 dentists, but I had the worst luck with my 3rd one, Dr Earle I got fitted for a crown one appointment, and went back to get it fitted and they lost it. Seems like all fillings done by him never felt right. A few weeks ago I had a dental emergency. Went to see Dr Earle.
He gave me some advice, but it didn't work out. I had to call the emergency line after hours in severe pain. I don't think I was rude despite my condition, but now they won't return my calls! I can take a hint, and it's probably for the best that I move on, but this continues the frustration I've felt over the past couple of years.

I always enjoy my visits to Rose Dental Group. They're always encouraging, and have seemed to be more likely to keep an eye on something that might become a problem rather than recommend any procedures before it's necessary, which I appreciate. Today Maggie was my hygienist, and she was great! Professional, gentle, fast, and didn't ask me any questions while her hands were in my mouth. :

My dentist hygienist Shelly is outstanding. She is the only reason i have not switched business elsewhere. However I was overcharged 400 dollars and six months later have not been able to recover my funds. Logs on call have not been kept by staff. Have experienced very unprofessional responses from the management and invoice requests have been ignored too.

Smooth and efficient. Clearly a team focused on excellence. I had a problem tooth that needed attention. My regular dentist, Dr Mueller, said I needed to visit with the endodontist who specializes in hard to do root canals. The endo eval with Dr. G was all about likely outcomes.he made the tough recommendation that the tooth should be extracted. So, off I go to the oral surgeon.
Just as Dr M and Dr G had done, Dr Harris gave me a clear explanation of options and outcomes and costs. All through the extraction of a difficult tooth, Dr H kept me informed about what he was doing and why. So. Bottom line: 3 emergent office visits were able to occur in 3 days. I was well taken care of by all 3 teams, and we were able to achieve an outcome that solved the problem. Rose dental offices work well as a network and their dental teams are exceptional. Thanks for getting an old man's problem resolved quickly and professionally.

Super friendly staff! I appreciate how the hygienists always tell me what I need to work on with my teeth, but are not too harsh. Teeth are sensitive and this place always handles me, my teeth, and my insurance extremely well. Rose Dental has 3 locations - always have openings so I can schedule when/where is convenient for me.

I don't know what has happened at Rose Dental Group in the past year but I can no longer contact anyone there. No matter when I call I have to leave a message requesting a call back. I do not receive a call back. I was very happy with my care and service up until the time Dr. Janell Johnson left. I requested a predetermination estimate of services to be done in December.
They told me they were busy with the holidays that it may be a few weeks. It is now Easter weekend and I still have not received it. My husband saw another dentist there at the time that I did and it is the same thing for him. We have requested our records be transferred to another dentist's office and we can't even get in contact with them to see if they have honored our requests.
My advice is to anyone reading this is to look elsewhere for your dental care. You can't even reach anyone to make an appointment at Rose Dental Group. If you enjoy leaving voice messages that are not responded to then by all means call them.

The cleaning was well done and the assistant was personable and took great care to make sure to avoid pain. However, after that the dentist and office staff heavily pushed Invisaline to prevent further damage and offered me a deal with inflated prices and a "temporary" discount that seems to be going all year long. They then proceeded to charge me for the Invisaline even after I canceled service with them. after which their service became horrible where no one could answer any of my questions and I was placed on multiple 20+ minute holds only to be hung up on. I am still waiting on my $800+ back from them.

I've been avoiding the dentist for a really, really long time. This was my first cleaning after my urgent care was completed. I need deep cleaning. I was really happy afterwards, the hygienist was very gentle and explained everything thoroughly. I recommend to the fearful. Just get it done Everyone from check in to check out had been super nice. My new crowns sit great. THANK YOU ALL

Dr. Harris took out all four of my wisdom teeth today and did a great job - I only got local anesthesia, and Dr. Harris was fast, professional, and checked in to make sure I was doing well. He even asked what music I enjoyed and played that during the extractions, which definitely made it a more comfortable experience. If you have wisdom teeth you don't want anymore, I highly recommend Rose Dental and Dr. Harris in particular.

When we first moved to Austin a few years ago, Rose Dental came highly recommended. hings have been on a steady decline in the last year to a point where we will no longer be going here. Reasons why I don't recommend this place 1) Its impossible to ever reach the front desk if you call. It goes to voicemail every.single.time. You can leave a voicemail but no one returns your calls. Scheduling appointments or getting stuff taken care of is a nightmare!
This wasn't always the case. They used to have the best receptionist at the front desk who was so pleasant and responsive. The new person is lacking! 2) The hygienists are not detail-oriented! The two times I got my teeth cleaned this year, I could feel the grittiness after they finished cleaning- both times I had different hygienists. Never felt clean to me. Again, I never had this issue until this year. 3) They had some really good dentists with the best bedside manner before.
I saw 2 different replacement doctors this year since they all keep leaving. I was not thrilled with their bedside manner or attention to detail. I miss the great place that this once used fo be. We have switched dentists. Please save your time and go elsewhere.

I first want to start off by saying Dr. Johnson was a most excellent dentist for me. However, she left a few months ago and replaced by Dr. Ali who was rude fr the moment she walked in to Introduce herself. I came in because I had a big bump on my gums that was causing me some worries. Dr. Ali told me that it was an infection and it needed to be treated with a root canal.
I asked her if she would perform it and she told me she could not and that she'd refer me. Dr. Johnson usually handled all of my treatments so I was a bit surprised but that was fine. I asked Dr. Ali if she would drain the abscess pocket on my gums to relieve some of the pressure and she responded very coldly "no" and that I needed to get a root canal again.
So I set an appointment which was to be a few weeks out to get a root canal. The pain got progressively worse until today. I called all morning explaining that Dr. Ali had never sent a prescription for an antibiotic to clear up the infection. I was told that Dr. Ali only works every other Friday but they would to reach her. By this time the pain is horrible and I call all day long asking if they could have another dentist prescribe the antibiotic based on the referral put in the system.
I was told that most dentists don't want to interfere with other dentists patients but they'd keep trying to reach Dr. Ali and call me back. I called once more before closing around 4:50 and this point I'm popping 4 ibuprofen at a time to just be able to stand up. They said they'd still not heard from Dr. Ali and there was nothing they could do to help.
I give the staff credit for trying to help but I cannot believe that a patient with a diagnosed tooth infection who's in pain would be allowed to go into the weekend without a solution. There no back up system to help out patient's in pain? It's an antibiotic not narcotics. I'm sitting in my home now wondering how I'm going to get through the next couple of days without going to the emergency room and paying $1,000. I'm very disappointed

I DON'T recommend. The doctors and technicians are excellent and have great bedside manner. But, the billing Dept is COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT. I have had multiple instances of receiving a treatment plan and paying my share. Upon return visit, I am told insurance won't cover and I have to pay an additional large amount. That just happened with a new crown.
I was told my share was $473, then had to pay $574, which I paid. Upon visit for putting in the permanent crown, was told I owed another $240. Also was told that last cleaning was not covered although it had been for previous years. Billing obviously does not know what they are doing. At least, I hope it is billing and not the doctors involved in this price gouging. I would love to continue to go to Rose Dental, but will not. Do not trust them.

I had my cleaning appointment today with Jerry. She is a wonderful hygienist. I have a tendency toward dental anxiety, but Jerry was patient, gentle, and thorough In cleaning my teeth. She explained each step as she went along, checkled in if I was ok, and was genuinely concerned about my comfort. I highly recommend Jerry in all cases, but especially if you are anxious about dental offices.

I have been a patient of Rose Dental group for about five years. I have been to the Parmer and Angus locations and have loved both locations and everyone has been extremely helpful. I moved down south in 2019 and therefore needed to switch to a dentist closer to me. I was super excited to see rose dental had a location down south but it's been a terrible experience.
I will come back and update with further detail the experiences and list the doctors/nurses/front desk who were unable to help (and those that were extremely helpful!) once I have more time. For now, I needed this review to be published so no one has to go through what I went through with them. In October I went in for an appointment and cleaning.
I waited for a very long time and eventually the dentist saw me. She was a new dentist to me since I was a new patient. By the time she saw me it was too late to do the cleaning so I had to come back the following week. When I came back the doctor suggested I see a Micro endodontics for my root canal which seemed to have an infection growing based off the x ray.
Fast forward to November. I had a root canal re treatment at the specialist they suggested and I kept getting severely swollen and he suggested they pull my tooth. I called rose dental four times explaining what the specialist said, requesting they pull the tooth and they were unable to get me anyone.

DO NOT GO HERE! Their dental hygienist shaved down my front tooth to "even out" the two front teeth but she shaved it down too much leaving my teeth looking horrible. They ruined my smile. What's worse is that this was just a few weeks before my wedding. Since then I've had to go in FOUR times to a new dentist for cosmetic bonding, costing me about $70 each time because of where she shaved it down.
It chips every couple months and this is what I now have to deal with forever. SCREW THIS PLACE AND THEIR UNPROFESSIONAL, UNEDUCATED HYGIENIST. DO NOT trust them with your teeth. Tired of having to deal with this every few months. DO NOT GO HERE, THEY WILL RUIN YOUR TEETH FOREVER.

I went here twice for cleanings and x-rays because it was close to home. The building and the people are nice. However, I don't feel that their level of care is what you'd expect. When you get your teeth cleaned you expect them to feel squeaky clean afterwards, right? It's the most basic dental thing you get done there. But my teeth always felt gross and still had plaque.
And at my first visit I asked about my wisdom teeth so they looked at them to see how they were doing. The hygienist said "oh one has a cavity". For 6 months I couldn't get them removed so at my next cleaning I asked the new hygienist to check them again. They said "oh that one definitely does not have a cavity." And the dentist during that visit said "I can't tell!
I have no idea!" Like. isn't this what y'all do? And to me that wasn't an acceptable level of care. So I switched to another office I went to two days ago and it was a MUCH better experience. Apparently THREE of mine have cavities and a couple molars need sealed. How long would that have been overlooked at Rose? Basically: nice people, subpar care.

This place is such an epic joke. I went in for my routine cleaning, which is covered 100% by my insurance, but they tried to up sell me to some $170 cleaning option. When I said I didn't want that, just the regular option please, they said no. I literally just had to leave without getting my teeth cleaned. Don't waste your time here.
