Dr Calos and Ashley are great! They were very friendly and gentle while placing dental implants, crowns and bridges to give me my smile and chewing ability back! The front desk was very informative on co-pays and what I owed before showing up to my appointments. I highley recommend Genesee Dental to adults and kids!

Dr. Krough and the staff at Genesee Dental are excellent, and saved me from some incredible pain I was having. I needed a root canal and it was my first time, they made me feel very comfortable and I honestly didn't feel any pain. I recommend Genesee Dental to anyone looking to get anything from a cleaning, to more invasive procedures. Dr. Krough knows what he is doing and his staff were so pleasant and knowledgeable!

My daughter had her wisdom teeth pulled on 3/30/18. The procedure had been scheduled and $250 was paid, in advance, for sedation. Teeth were removed and Assistant with my daughter told me they didn't do the sedation because my daughter was feeling nauseous (from script they gave her to be taken prior to coming to appointment) and used novocaine instead.
The copy of the bill, which I had to request, showed they were billing my insurance $84 for sedation on top of the $250 we had already paid. Immediately after procedure, I requested a refund of the $250 since they didn't provide that service and was told by office manager that they did provide that service. An exchange between myself and the office manager resolved nothing.
My daughter told me that when they put a mask on her face she told them that nothing was coming out and the Dentist and the Assistant told her it was for airflow only because they weren't using the gas. When she attempted to remove the mask, her arm was restrained by a strap to the chair. My daughter also told them several times that she could feel everything because the novocaine wasn't strong enough.
In addition to their poor practices, they are a participating provider with my insurance. Being a participating provider most often means the payment approved by insurance company is accepted as payment in full. I have, since Friday the 30th, spoken to many people and have found the majority of them have also had problems with the billing at this office.
Per their website, if you have any questions or concerned there is a form to complete and send by email. I did this, requesting name of Owner of practice, address of this Owner to send certified mail to, names of office staff that I interacted with. I have not received a response. I called the office this morning, Stephanie answered, and I requested the name of the office manager, (on Friday I spoke with Gloria on the telephone twice).
There was much hesitation and I was asked what my name was and why I needed it. I explained that I was filing a complaint with American Dental Association, Better Business Bureau and my insurance company. I was put on hold for approximately 3 minutes and then given the name of Judy. I asked for last name and again after hesitation was told B. They refused to give her last name.
I feel this is going to be a long, drawn out event but I am not going to allow them to not refund a charge for a procedure that wasn't performed. This office requires payment before the procedures are performed so the ability for fraudulent billing are wide open. Per the review by Aimee W and the numerous people I have spoken with over the last 3 days, I would never recommend this practice/business to anyone!
