My husband and I have been using Dr. Fraker since 1980, over 40 years! He is a very talented dentist. We have gone thru many procedures, cleaning etc in those 40 years that he has handled wonderfully. He knows when to refer us out to another local, highly- rated specialist to get care that he doesn't provide (like implants etc) and they coordinate well with each other. Never have had a complaint. He is genuinely concerned with the welfare of his patient first.

I have known Dr. Fraker for about six years professionally and have heard him speak on multiple occasions about himself, his practice, and dentistry in general. Clearly he knows his craft as any dentist should who has been in practice for so many years. But more important he and his staff truly care about their patients and treat them like family. I know of several families of multiple generations who will continue to call him their dentist for as long as he continues to practice.

Dr. Fraker is very nice and thorough, as is his hygienist. Unfortunately, the office staff responsible for billing are not either of those things. As anyone with insurance knows, you don't know what your insurance covers and what you owe until after your dentist sends you a bill. Well, Dr. Fraker's office didn't send me a bill until 4 months after the initial services were performed, and their bill included items that the insurance had already paid in full AND late fees.
When I called to inquire about these issues I reached an answering machine and left a message with my questions. After a week without receiving a call back I tried again. This time I reached a live person, but she informed me that the person responsible for billing was not in the office. I left a message, again inquiring about the billing issues. I did not receive any call back. Instead, a month later I received another bill with more late fees tacked on.
At this point I was angry. I called again, and received the answering machine again. I left a message stating that I intend to pay my bills, but I have to receive an accurate statement before I can pay and that I am not paying late fees on an inaccurate balance, especially when the tardiness is wholly caused by the dentist's office. They never did explain the billing discrepancy from my May statement.
I finally had to work with my dental insurance company to figure out the correct balance, which I sent. Instead of working with me, they proceeded to send another bill with even more late fees tacked on. It's unfortunate that Dr. Fraker's excellent bedside manner and attention to detail is marred by his billing staff.
