A dental crown, sometimes referred to as a cap, is a restoration placed by the dentist to replace the enamel covering of a tooth. A crown is placed to restore and sometimes improve the normal shape, size, and function of a tooth. Often a crown makes a tooth stronger and improves its appearance. Many teeth, when carefully viewed, may exhibit small crack lines in the enamel. A more deeply cracked tooth may become noticeable when you feel a sharp pain when chewing food or with having a hot or cold drink.

It has now been my second time in this dental location and I am so impressed with the level of care they give to their patients! Everyone I came into contact with was very kind and willing to explain the process of what I needed for the day. I am glad I decided to stay with this dental office, and even with the protocols they have for COVID-19 I feel safe and know that I am not in harms way. Thank you to the staff at Lakewood Dental for providing the best quality of care.
