We've made it more convenient for our patients to find the location best suited for their needs. My stars are for the office personnel. Super friendly, dentist straight to the point which my kids like, the guy who took X-rays very efficient. Now, decoration and patient welcoming furniture needs too much improvement. I highly recommend this place for anyone.
Friendly staff, specially Celeste, she is very helpful, patient and answers all the questions. If you're looking for a dentist in Los Angeles, CA, you've come to the right place.

Regular routine checkups are important for keeping your teeth and gums healthy. They will also enable your dentist to catch any issue early and prevent potential problems arising in the future. It is recommended that you visit a dentist for a checkup at least every 6 months, unless advised otherwise.
Dental sealants are made of a plastic material that is applied to the teeth to protect from tooth decay. Dental sealants fill in the back molars' deep grooves where food and bacteria can collect that can cause cavities. With dental sealants in place, plaque is sealed out. Dental sealants are not a guarantee against the formation of cavities, but they offer the best protection available.

This place is HORRIBLE. I wouldn't suggest this place to my worst enemy. They are constantly changing prices and trying to upsell without focusing on the patients needs. I was a loyal patient for 3 years but I could NO LONGER take the blatant racism. They would call multiple times daily asking about upcoming visits I never scheduled. They are extremely unorganized.
I received random balances which I questioned every time. Y'all need to let patients know if they owe anything BEFORE leaving. Telling them on the next visit that insurance didn't cover a cleaning (which is a flat out lie) is inconvenient and stressful. I used one of the credit cards that the fat financial woman assisted me with while applying. All of a sudden there was no memory of assisting me and basically called me a liar. I've actually spoken to my lawyer and I will be suing. AVOID THIS RACIST PLACE AT ALL COSTS!

Don't go there. Front desk is rude. I'm asking question and the girl is not answering them. I'm just a concern patient I need answers to have a piece of mind also to coordinate my schedule to make time for my procedures. She doesn't help much. Rude. Unprofessional. She will easily hang up on you. Go to a better place after all. They are well established. They don't need our money, I guess or so it seems.

My appointment was at 9:30am I did not get seen until 12:30pm. And the dentist is money hungry and told me he can't take my tooth out unless I get a bone graph which was $650. I can't afford a bone graph. I am unemployed due to getting covid 2 times. It wasn't right at all. I have never had a dentist tell me this before. It should be up to the patient if we want a bone graph or not we are going to be the ones that have shifting teeth.
My medi cal was going to pay for the extraction. And so now since they refused to pull my tooth because of them trying to force me to get a bone graph. I still have to walk around with all this Infection in my mouth until I find another dentist to pull my tooth.this is not right and sad that dentist are money hungry

I have been going here for years and today was the last straw. I made a cleaning appointment last week for the 11th and 4pm. They sent me text reminders and everything and when they called to remind me for my daughters, I confirmed my appointment and they said it was at 2, which I could t make. So I moved it to the next day, a little annoyed but no biggie.
Then today I go and the dentist seemed very annoyed with me. He had a hair on his finger so I pulled away and told him and he seemed even more annoyed, and he didn't even change his gloves after getting it off. Then he rudely told me to breathe out of my nose. Then he just left and sent someone over to try to buckle and dime me for everything, and refused to do the cleaning because they wanted to upsell a different kind of cleaning not covered by insurance. That was the last straw, I'm switching my insurance and going somewhere that values their patients.

The front desk girls were super nice but I feel like you guys push unnecessary uncovered services. (Some kind of irrigation for $150) Your dentist just went through a spiel. Didn't listen, didn't ask questions. I've never had my polishing before the scraping/cleaning. seemed kind of odd. All in all probably one of my worst dental check up experiences.
Not to mention the first time I was there I was never seen for my 1 o'clock appointment as I had to go back to work after waiting in the lobby for an hour and a half. You guys were my first dental experience after moving from the westside and starting a new job. Definitely will continue my hunt for a new dentist in the city or maybe drive back to Culver City for my old one. Pay attention to the reviews they all say the same thing. Buyer beware

Probably the worst experience I've had in a dental office. I made an appointment weeks in advance, and waited over 2 hours to have cleaning done for my teeth. After waiting, the employees asked for me to come back another date since they were understaffed (despite taking patient appointments in advance). I came back another date and had to wait over an hour. The cleaning service offered by the dentist was very rushed and painful (clearly seems to just churn patients in and out quickly for quick profit)

DO NOT COME HERE! Please look at all reviews they are the worst place to schedule an appointment have you waiting for over an hour to tell you they can't see you because it's too busy! We scheduled a 6 month cleaning, waited an hour and had to reschedule because the dentist was too busy! They only do x rays and the dentist comes to check your teeth to persuade you to do unnecessary dental work that will cost you out of pocket money.
Why aren't they considerate with peoples time? Do you really think I have to miss work because you can't do your job and not over schedule people? So annoying why why can't for once we find a good decent dentist that actually cares about peoples teeth and not money!

No frills or thrills here, just friendly staff and a great dentist that will take good care of you! There may be days that the wait is longer than expected, so plan accordingly. I brought my mother in for oral surgery and Dr. HASKINS took care of her issue. Staff have all been welcoming and friendly. We didn't experience any issues here, and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good dentist. Thank you all for your great service!

I was refused a dental cleaning, strong armed into taking an expensive and un nessary "wash" and not given any codes on the services reccomended to compare with my insurance. Every dentist i have went to says a different thing so its like comparing apples to oranges. I am reporting my experience to my insurance. This place seems more interested in their bottom line than its patients

I went today to get a referral to a pediatric dentist since they can't see my son (1y/o). I waited and the receptionist was wondering where the dentist was? Bad first impression. After waiting 30 minutes & a fidgety toddler I asked again. They took us back and we had to wait more in the back room. When I asked if this is normal for the dentist to be late there was no answer from the dental hygienist.
She told me people later in the day could wait hours to see the dentist. (This means they over book clients). She told me that if I didn't want to wait long I should get private insurance. (She doesn't know that I'm a small business owner & do pay all insurance for myself!) After waiting another 20 minutes, I tried to get attention from a dental hygienist (totally ignored me) I got up to ask.
They said it was going to take longer. I explained my situation, they didn't care. I walked out with my toddler (had to go change is diaper) and we left. I will take the advice of the dental hygienist and pay more for a PPO. Beware you'll wait long hours here. I am fortunate that I can afford to pay more and go to a higher class dental office for my son. I'm sorry for all the people who have to come here and can't afford better dental insurance. Just because you have an HMO, doesn't mean you should be treated as a second class citizen. Please do better for your future clients and try not to overbook yourself.

I had a great team of dental assistants working with me. Lauren, Mark and Melissa as well as a very patient Andrea who is in charge of patient services. Dr Shafa worked very fast too, because the next thing i know, i was done. Thank you to all the team from the receptionist to everybody else who made this experience as pleasant and relatively low in pain. (That laughing gas did help too, not gonna lie. )

I have been requesting a refund for a perio protect kit for over three weeks. I previously received my Perio-Protect on 02/15/2022 however, the tray did not fit properly so I couldn't use it. This has been a very stressful process as I have received very poor customer service regarding this issue. The office ignored my initial request for a refund on 02/22/2022 and they didn't supply an explanation or offer possible solutions.
I reached out to human resources to file a complaint and request a refund a second time on 03/01/2022, Patti, the supervisor at WCD-Torrance said she sent in an authorization request but i have not heard back from her to this day. She seems to be consistently "sick" or "out of office". Which makes me wonder is this office even supervised. Patti did not offer any apology for my inconvenience, nor did she acknowledge that her office failed to send my initial refund request on 02/22/2022, she did, although, imply that I was impatient.
It was very insulting to hear Patti, the supervisor, imply impatience, on my part, given my recent experience with her office and handling of my previous requests. Since my first visit on 01/18/2022, I have received inadequate customer service. I tried emailing tor@westcoastdental.com, feedback@westcoastdental.com, WCDCustomerService@incontactemail.com since January and they don't seem to even read their messages because I haven't received a response.
I was previously denied access to my medical records for over a month. And when I asked questions about dentist and procedure information they lacked the knowledge to provide me with information to make an informed decision, they denied giving me any information at all. I was also continuously denied support by the office and management. For these reasons, I will be filing an official complaint to the Dental Board of California, the U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services, California Department of Public Health, the Department of Consumer affairs and seeking legal advice. I do not feel valued as a client at West Coast Dental, nor do I believe that this company centers their patients rights, needs, concerns, questions, and health. I will no longer seek dental health services at West Coast Dental. It's very disappointing that because of all of these issues my treatment has been delayed since January. I needed to get surgery, a restorative procedure and receive long term treatment but West Coast Dental failed me.

Had the first appointment at 8am today for a routine cleaning. The door was locked at 7:56. The receptionist walked in at 7:58 and opened the door for 2 waiting customers and me. Once I was inside and signed papers, I waited in the waiting room until 8:30. The dentist did not walk in until 8:30. From 8-9, various staff walked in through the waiting room - dental assistants, secretaries, the finance administrator, and the dentist.
After being called at 8:30 (others were waiting behind me with later appointments), I was seated in a chair. An assistant walked in to begin setting up the room, and other assistants began bustling about setting up the other ~9 rooms. Other patients who had been waiting behind me were also roomed. The dentist did not come to the room until 8:50 after which he had to ask around for an assistant to help complete the set-up of the room.
The cleaning did not begin until 9am. THIS IS EXTREMELY INEFFICIENT. If the first appointment time is 8am, then the staff should be there at 7am if it is going to take them 1 hour to see their first patient. If they are unable to do so, they should tell me that my appointment is at 9am. The very first appointment of the day should NOT start one hour late.
No wonder they are perpetually late and slow when I have a later morning or afternoon appointment. I've voiced this concern to the dentists (there has been a turnover of 5 dentists, BTW over the years, and I have been going there for 7 years or so) and staff and there has been no improvement in their efficiency. I have only gone there because it is 5 minutes from my workplace.

My family have been coming here for about 4 -5years now. We've had a disappointment but convenience location for work and school. Last week I called in Friday morning because I had a discomfort lower right tooth and they were able to schedule me for the next day (Saturday), they were also able to add my husband and two boys for cleaning. Here comes Saturday morning, I'm running around to get my errands done before our appointments when I get the call that they don't have a doctor and have cancel our appointments. Comes Monday (yesterday), I called and I was able to get an appointment for 3pm.
I go in and they referred me to a Specialist for Consultation and a CT scan for today. I get to my Specialist appointment and found out that my Dentist already used my one Consultation every 6 months yesterday and I have to pay their Consultation fee of $150 plus CT scan of $200. Quickest $350 spent in 15 minutes and I was told that the tooth needs to be extracted but they don't do that there and I would have to go back to my regular Dentist.
Call back West Coast Dental and I'm told that the Oral Surgent only comes in twice a month and I can be scheduled for the 23rd, today is the 15th. My tooth ache is now causing a soar throat and when I swallow my saliva the pain goes to my ear. Although, I complained about the sore throat along with the toothache, no medication was prescribed.
I complained that I need to be referred to someone else instead of waiting for the 23rd and I'm told that I can do that myself, I was shocked and thought perhaps I misunderstood her. I asked, what do you mean to do it myself, she said, you can call around and see who can take you in now or we can schedule you for the 23rd. I lost my cool and hung-up. They can be quick on submitting a claim to your insurance but won't spent time to find you a solution while you're suffering.

1. I waited more than 40 minutes to see a dentist. 2. The doctor said I need 800$ perio protect which I don't need it, I googled this product online, the medicine cost 25$. Obviously they are upselling me the product I don't need. I feel being scammed by the dentist. 3. I see dentist regularly. I did my teeth cleaning just 4 months ago. The doctor said I need a deep cleaning.
The doctor spent 8 minutes on deep cleaning for one side of the teeth. I have been to other dentists before. The regular cleaning usually take 30 minutes to finish, don't mention deep cleaning. The doctor cleaned my teeth so fast that I had to check my phone for the time. I was so shocked when the doctor told me that she finished deep cleaning of my teeth. I suggest everyone who had similar experience like this report to Dental board and Medicaid.

For starters this dental location is great for many reasons, the dentist at this location is very receptive to his clients and made sure I was comfortable, and made sure I was not in pain while working on me. Secondly, it was a breath of fresh air to have a case coordinator in particular named Andrea who made the process so much more smooth. I highly appreciate the time she took to explain what the treatment plan was and what steps I needed to take and the most cost effective route and priority.
I have never had ANYONE take the time to ever explain such to me, it was usually just what needs to be done and the price. It makes a huge difference to be educated in what needs to be done, what the client can afford, how to break up the plan and what to plan ahead. 10/10 recommend

I was here a few months ago for a teeth cleaning. The dentist told me I needed to get trays with some type of medication because acid in my teeth from inconsistent flossing was eating away at bone and I might eventually lose teeth. He said it would cost $800? (not exactly sure because it was a while ago) but I couldn't afford it at the time. I'm with a new dentist now because of a change in insurance.
He looked at the x-rays and said they were trying to get me to pay for something I didn't need. I had some bone loss, but nowhere close to where it was even worth worrying about. Just floss consistently. Beware! They will recommend unneeded products/procedures!

I do not recommend the place. I called for my son appointment for dental cleaning. Upon arrival the front desk told me that they can't take us in since it is early for the cleaning. The front desk kinda rude in argumentive tone. She ask the manager which i can totally understand spanish. "Tell her that she will get billed!" Then relay the message in english.
I was waiting at the lobby and they are talking about the patient and i can hear them loud and clear at the lobby saying how demanding and rude the patient is. They are implementing with the mask policy and they are not even wearing mask themselves. The management should implement hippa! Even with their sign in sheets, you can see other patients name. The wait is unbelievable more than an hour which I told my son we need to go home. Respect each patients time and effort.

After I got tortured by Indian west coast dental member and I am not sure that she was a doctor. She has done deep cleaning and 4 fillings however I had been in pain for a couple of weeks which caused me to Change the whole place I went to another dentist and I was shocked that he told me that your old dentist (west cost dental) didn't do anything in the right way and I must establish everything from zero.
I call them to see if they can provide solutions but unfortunately, since July they crept postponed me and tell me that they will contact the general manager and after all these lies they told me today that they can't do anything. On the other hand, they were always late and the doctor there was not professional at all the front disk are not polite and the two managers are layers and they are there for do nothing.

I got a good feeling when I saw the pictures online. the feeling was reinforced when I walked in and saw the positive attitude the staff displayed. They where short staffed & efficiently took care of business. I paid attention to the clientele in the waiting area. I had a good feeling even though I was in pain. I was called up and was happy with the consultation.
I then booked a date to see the oral surgeon. I returned and had 3 extractions. I felt that I was in good hands. I felt the respect & chain of command within the team. I will follow up and get crowns in 4 months. I look forward to visiting this office on 6th street near downtown Los Angeles.

After charging my credit card $750 I was told that dentist was busy and unable to perform the procedure I had already paid for. At first I was told to wait 2-3 hours. Then, I was told I must reschedule. I work 6 days a week so "rescheduling" isn't a simple option for me. I spent 2 hours in the doctors office and wasn't even able to get a simple teeth cleaning. This was A complete waste of my time. The facilities are neat/ clean and staff is friendly however, clearly not very efficient. Will not be returning.

I have never had. A dental office tell me work was completed 2 months ago now told need to come back and pay full amount without a option of payment arrangement. Not comfortable with this type of service. Too many people not communicating well with each other or customers. Not sure about actual work.

This place is honestly terrible please do yourself a favor and skip. I got my X-rays done for wisdom teeth removal and they said they would call me back for an appointment within a month. It's been 3 months so honestly if I can't trust them to have their schedules organized then I'm not trusting them to go into my mouth.

I'm a new patient at West Coast Dental as I had to follow my Dentist Dr. Hankins (best dentist ever)! My overall experience was great from the time I booked my appointment and all my reschedules. lol Each receptionist I spoke with was very pleasant and accommodating! My Dental Hygienist, Miguel did a very thorough cleaning (I had to show off and drop my mask on the way out ).
As for my dentist, Dr. Hankins, I always appreciate his passion for his patient's dental health and his rare infectious personality. I've never had a dentist so honest. For example during my visit yesterday, after checking on my previous root canal ( yes, Dr. Hankins successfully completed the procedure;-) he actually stated that I had no cavities and everything checked out well.
In all my years of dental appointments, there's always a cavity or a recommendation for something. You can draw your own conclusions. Well, let's just say Dr. Hankins is very skillful which will result into Outstanding Dental Health!

For example during my visit yesterday, after checking on my previous root canal ( yes, Dr. Hankins successfully completed the procedure;-) he actually stated that I had no cavities and everything checked out well.

I wish I could give this dental office ZERO stars. My daughter's appointment was at 4 PM and I arrived at 3:45 PM. I waited for 1.5 hours out in the waiting room and then they stuck me in the back room to wait for an additional half hour. Never once did the endodontist show up. They also clearly could not read the referral slip my daughter's dentist gave her because they were confused regarding her x-rays and the tooth that needed work.
This is despite the fact that the referral form lists which tooth needs work, what needs to be done, and there is an x-ray attached to the referral form. After waiting for 2 hours, we left examination room with my daughter's file and told them to give me back the referral slip because I would find a better dentist. I can sum up this business in three words. dental hobby shop. Don't waste your time or risk your teeth here.

This dentistry is located between a COVID testing center and a 7 Eleven. As I was waiting over 1 hour and 30 minutes to be seen, a homeless guy walked by the window which was covered in graffiti. If that isn't enough for you not to come here, please keep reading. I walked in with no greeting and asked to fill out 7 different sheets of paperwork.
There were no clean pens and no hand sanitizer left. Went to get an X-ray and the guy threw the X-ray vest on top of me with no hello, how are you doing, nothing. I waited for 1 hour and 30 minutes and heard that same guy pathetically trying to flirt with the other coworker at the front desk. No apology for the waiting. Nothing.

I don't know if I've ever had a totally positive, error-free experience here, and not just because it's dentistry. Twice I have come and sat for an hour+ and been told there's not time to see me, I recently came in for a bridge and the receptionist was confused that I had been booked for a cleaning, I spend twenty minutes getting x-rays and the next visit they can't find them.it keeps you on your toes. I don't feel like I can 100% trust anything that happens here, which is a bad feeling.

Very nice group of employees BUT they have literally taken me in late EVERY SINGLE TIME. And I have made an an appointment for each visit. This is always my complaint with them. Anywhere from 45 minutes to and hour and a half (yes, 90 minutes) after my scheduled appointment time. It's so frustrating to be at the dentist office for 2.5 to 3 hours for a schedule routine X-ray/cleaning. It's unprofessional to say the least. Like I said the staff is kind but the need better time management.

I was hesitant to try this office based on the reviews. On a positive note, my wait was short and I had completed new patient paperwork online so that seemed to help. Xrays went quickly and I was seen by the Dr. soon after. My teeth were in good shape except for an abrasion on the top of a tooth so there was nerve exposed. They said they could fix that and do my cleaning while I was there.
That was all great. On the negative side, I found out from my insurance today that the procedure done was considered cosmetic. Had I known that was the case I would not have opted to get it! Because I got the procedure done that day, I had no time to research with my insurance. So, I'd say if you are paying out of pocket, it's a good enough pick. If you have insurance, ask questions and wait until you can find out what is covered before having any work done.

This is by the worst dentist I've been too. I had the worst experience ever. I had three appointments all my appointments I had to wait an hour to be seen once I was since I had been sitting in the dentist chair for almost another hour. All the workers walk by you like they don't see you. All the front seat workers are really rude and act like there stuck up.
I gave them almost 3000 dollars to work on my teeth an they were never even fixed, so I had got a refund because, and still haven't received any refund and it's been 30 days and they still don't know why it hasn't gone through. This is a sad place please don't come here. The manager isn't even fit to manage.

The wait time was a fraction of that at western dental and the dentist was more experienced. I went in having been told I didn't have any decay and it was just "stains". The dentist let me know it was not and it needed to be taken care of. I was able to get a cleaning the same day and schedule for my fillings. The front staff were very kind and helpful.
So great time management, expertise, and overall customer service. I have to say I left very satisfied with my experience and services. I'm glad I chose this place for my new dentist. Only down side is my appointment started 30 minutes later than scheduled(which is bette than the 3 hours I was waiting at WD).

I went mid March for a consultation about wisdom teeth removal. The assistant that did my x-rays was really friendly, and she apologized for me having to wait almost 2 hours due to some construction they were having. The lady who inspected my teeth after was pretty rough with the tools, which made me nervous for the actual surgery. They scheduled me for 1 month later in April when the oral surgeon is there.
I go back on that date 1 month later, and they wait until I am in the chair to say they recommend a bone graft with the removal, which makes no sense for wisdom teeth since I'm not putting crowns or replacements in there. That also raised the price up almost $1000. I was pissed, but needed the process done, so they said to reschedule for yet another month away for when a specific oral surgeon would be in that day do to the bone graft.
I left upset with an appointment for May 22. I got a second opinion, and got my teeth removed yesterday for a whole $30 elsewhere with a great fast experience. and I called this office today to cancel my May appointment. and they said they don't even see me on the schedule! So I would have shown up next week and told to come back again who knows when. Get second opinions people, these guys just want your money. Oh, and I didn't need the bone graft, new dentist said my jaws wouldn't even have had space for it.

I wish I could give less stars. I originally wasn't going to leave a review because I appreciated them taking me in to do an emergency root canal day of, granted it was to redo work on a root canal they had done the first time, but now I have to get ANOTHER root canal on the same tooth! And all my other teeth are doing great EXCEPT for that one, so clearly the work done was subpar. EVERY appointment I had there, I waited on average 20-30 min on arrival, and even when I got in the seat I'd be waiting for at least another 45 minutes or so, watching the dentist bounce around the office between like 3/4 patience. I get you're trying to maximize profits, but this was just absurd. Switched dentists and never looked back. I wouldn't recommend these guys to anyone.

Only reason why i put 1 star is because the back office staff was nice but my appointment was at 4 pm for x-rays and cleaning didn't go in until 5:15pm dentist came gave me "diagnosis" asked me to wait. Me thinking they were getting everything ready for cleaning my teeth, waited over an hour. It was 6:45 when the back office staff told me that i can just leave because the dentist was still talking with another patient.
She said they would "call me" to talk more about my "diagnosis and prices". Never received a call afterwards. Can't believe i just waisted my time over 1 hour of wait and to get nothing done wow!

VERY pleased with my first time here! Everyone was very pleasant & professional during my long appointment time for x-rays, cleaning & crown prep. Dr. Val was great in explaining all that needed to be done. No upsell for whitening or any other services which I really appreciate! Kasha was especially delightful while doing hygiene & temporary crown work.
Everything was smooth sailing: from making the appointment & filling out new patient forms online, to getting my insurance coverage & billing set up with ease by Abby and the other young lady in the front office. They are completely COVID-19 compliant and I waited in my car for only about 15 minutes after check-in. In a sea of what seems like an HMO dentist clinic on every corner, I'm sure glad I did my research and settled on this one!

The people who helped me and my son ( 4y) once we actually got behind the front desk were AMAZING. He's a toddler so you can imagine how hyper he was with the moving and following instructions. But both people who assisted him were patience and very kind to him. I was I could remember their names. Once I was seen the same treatment was extended.
The front office seemed to be a little bit unorganized. The day prior my insurance called WITH ME ON THE LINE and provided all the information that they requested, I heard the whole conversation. However when we arrived they didn't have anything on file in regards to the insurance, that they just received less than 24 hours ago. But even with that said, while the front office wasn't the BEST experience the overall service was fantastic. The women in the front office eventually got all the information they needed and everything was up hill from there

Showed up on time for an appointment and waited over an hour before I was seen. I went in to let the front desk know that I've been waiting for an hour now and all they told me was that they understand and that I just needed to wait until they call me in. What kind of service is that? It's terrible. This also isn't the first time that I had to wait past my appointment time. I DO NOT recommend this dental clinic to anyone. It has horrible customer service.

So this review is for the last two visits I made back to the dental office. June 12th was an appointment like I've never had before. Dr. Abraham and the DA were lightning fast when it came to cleaning off the tooth that was being prepped for a new crown, and the drilling didn't last that long. It felt like it took ten minutes and that blew my mind.
They had the temp on and I was out of there quick. I'd like to note that I am not a fan of needles and Dr. Abraham made good work not to let me see it come but I still loathe the feeling of being given anesthesia. Aside from the long moment of being numb. I was impressed by the speed of getting me in and out and was definitely a better turnout than my consultation was. June 29th was the day they put the crown in and it was quick.
I noticed while waiting for final approval from Dr. Abraham that they did a hell of a job cleaning my tooth that it was like touching a smooth rock in my mouth. With that and the time it took, I felt like I needed to give my utmost gratitude for their work. The crown was put on and I was able to eat on it right away. I'm satisfied with their work.
