We are incredibly blessed to have had her as a cornerstone of our office for so many years. Dr. Chase Wootton and his wife, Allison Wootton, RDH have joined our team! They have returned to Allison's home state of Georgia following Dr. Wootton's service as an U.S. Army dentist. When Dr. Phillip Durden first opened Winterville Dental in 1989, his dream was to provide family friendly care for patients in the Winterville-Athens community.Today, Dr. Durden, Dr. Brandon Whitworth, Dr. Chase Wootton and the Winterville Dental Team have the great pleasure of helping patients with all their dental needs, from creating a happy first dental visit for a child to restoring health to a grandparent's smile with dental implants.

Allison joined the dental profession in 2017 as a dental assistant. She continued her training and education to become a dental hygienist and recently joined our team with her husband, Dr. Chase Wootton. Allison grew up in Georgia, she and Dr. Wootton are excited to return home following Dr. Wootton's military service.

We welcome children of all ages; those in preschool or primary school are usually seen in the morning.

I love this dentist office, Dr. Whitworth is the best! The whole staff is wonderful and friendly. I was very uncomfortable going in the first time since I lost a front tooth, I felt like a monster and they just put me at ease immediately. They definitely went above and beyond for me and I greatly appreciate knowing people like this amazing group of people still exist.

I have been to two other dentists in Athens and this practice is miles and miles better. Dr. Wooten is so kind and he really does care about your level of comfort in a way that most dentists don't. I have dental anxiety so that takes a lot for me. His wife, Allison, is a nurse there and she is just amazing, and you can't help but love her along with the other staff that work there.
They pay attention to detail and Dr. Wooten is empathetic and does an amazing job every time not only with his work but keeping you informed with exactly what he is doing. I hesitate posting this review because I don't want to share him and Allison, haha! Seriously, 10/10 recommend this practice, it's the best one I've EVER been to!

Dr. Brandon Whitworth is not just a dentist, he's an upstanding guy, with a heart of gold. I have been going to Winterville Dental for a few years now and I am very pleased with his work. Not only is he wonderful, but his staff is excellent as well. They are ALL so friendly and helpful. It must be the best place to work ever, because not once in all of the time that I've been going there, have I ever seen anyone angry, upset or in a bad mood. That is important for people like me who are afraid to go to the dentist. Keep doing what you do Winterville Dental!

I absolutely love Winterville Dental. Everyone was so nice. The environment was warm and inviting. My Dr was the best and my exam was so comprehensive. Not all the news from my diagnosis was good but everything was explained so I was left with all questions answered. My only regret is that I didn't find them sooner.

I was always treated like family. When I busted my two front teeth, they immediately got me in for x-rays (they're closed on Sundays, but they still got them done on a Sunday). They got my teeth fixed as soon as they had an appointment available (about 2 days later). I never had any issues with the staff. My caps for my busted teeth are still in great shape thanks to their fantastic team. I've had my caps on since 2009 and there's minimal wear and tear on them. You guys have always done a fantastic job with me and my family members.
