My daughter has autism and needed 4 wisdom teeth extracted and other dental issues such as cavities. The process was longer than I imagined from 930 to 530. I think more communication was needed because once I was told what had to be done no one ever came back for updates or to explain how she would react coming out of anesthesia, which was awful.
The bill was crazy high over 14k. Unfortunately, it's hard to find a Dentist that handles this population and does full sedation. The doctor is well versed and I commend him for his dedication to this population. The nurses were friendly but sometimes abrupt or a bit controlling probably bc of being so busy. However, I am pleased and would recommend this office to any special needs family knowing it's a long process and very expensive.

Wish there was a 10 star rating that I could use for Dr. Lichtenstein! He is the Cadillac of Dentists in my opinion. Have been going to him for 30 years. Always has the patient's best interest in mind in all the work he does. When I first went to Dr. Lichtenstein I needed a lot of work and because of my fear of dentists I wanted a dentist who was able to give me anesthesia. He is a masterful surgeon who will save as many teeth as possible. His staff is caring, friendly and knowledgeable.

I have had issues all my life with dentists who were unable to get me numb enough to perform invasive work. I came across an article in a magazine about sedation dentistry and Dr. Lee's name was on the list. Ten years ago I walked into his office with some serious work to be done and I've been an extremely satisfied patient ever since! Dr. Lee has a great "chairside" manner and he really puts you at ease as he does what needs to be done.
His staff is very professional and courteous. This is literally the first time in my life where I don't dread making the visit to the office. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Lee and his staff for your dental needs and care!

It seems that people only write a review when they've had a bad experience, but that is not our case. We were referred to Dr. Lichtenstein by our pediatric dentist in Manasquan and couldn't be happier with the outcome of our son's procedure. So much so, that I'm having the Dr. do some much needed dental repair work for me. When my son's dentist told us our son needed to have 12 "surfaces" (cavities mostly) repaired we were in shock.
Our first thought was our eight year old having to go to the dentist eight or nine times and sit still and endure work being done in his mouth. We decided to meet with Dr. L. after looking him up and reading about his 30 years of hospital and outpatient experience in NY and NJ. We would have had to travel to NYC or Philly to find someone with comparable credentials.
Priority one for the Dr. and his team was that our son have a positive experience. That put us and my son at ease immediately. Dr. L. made it really fun for our son and simple for us all. He explained in detail what was going on with our son's teeth and what he could do to correct it. He spent a long time with my husband and I, reviewing everything in detail. Everything.
The day of our son's procedure, everything went very smoothly and we couldn't be happier about the service we received from Dr. Lichtenstein and his crew. Really really pleased. As a mother of five, I am so grateful to Dr. L. and his team. Thank you.

I am surprised to see the negative reviews here. When I first came to Dr. Lichtenstein's office my teeth were a mess. He is a no frills type dentist, which some might find off putting, but I appreciate his straight forward style. His work is very good. I had several procedures under general anesthesia at his office and have not had any issues.

I have been a patient of Dr Lichtenstein's since 1997 and can say with the utmost certainty that he is excellent at what he does and always has his patients' best interests in mind. At this point, I wouldn't trust anyone else with my dental work because I know he is a perfectionist in his work and has continually achieved success with the work I've had to have done. Dr Lichtenstein is thorough in both his examinations and explanations of any work that needs to be done, taking all the time necessary to answer my questions.
I have had to be put under anesthesia on multiple occasions for various procedures and quite literally trust him with my life in these instances. I think more than anything, I appreciate his extreme attention to detail when working on my teeth. When dealing with any matters that pertain to my health, I want the best physician available, and for specialized dentistry, I am confident he is it in New Jersey.
Not to mention his amazing staff who are a wonderful compliment to all of the great work he does. I have truly come to regard everyone in this office as family after having known them for 20+ years. Dr Lichtenstein's quirky personality is an asset to what he does and the patients that he sees. He is and has always been focused on achieving the best results for my teeth and teaching me how to maintain optimal dental health. Nothing but the best at this office! The entire staff takes such wonderful care of their patients, from the front desk to the doctor himself. I have had horrible experiences at different dentists for years and I needed a TON of restorative work done on my teeth (several root canals and a full dental implant). Dr Lichtenstein sat with me and went over each and every procedure that needed to be done.
He took the time to really understand why I was so apprehensive about having dental work done, and made sure I was completely comfortable with everything before any work was done at all. Everyone in the office goes out of their way to make sure you are as comfortable as possible.

I just went to Dr. Lichtenstein for the first time and I couldn't be happier. The staff from start to finish are nothing short of amazing. They make you feel welcome and relaxed immediately. I have some serious issues going on and was very nervous going in for the first time. I left smiling, happy and knowing that I have treatable issues and a plan of attack that works for me.
I have had several dentists over the last few years due to insurance changes and I only wish I would have found Dr. Lichtenstein's practice sooner. I am actually excited to go back and begin feeling good about my mouth again.
