Dr. McCoy graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry and began his professional career in Morton, PA. A Delaware County resident for most of his life, Dr. McCoy graduated from Chichester High School and completed his undergraduate degree at Widener University. Prior to shifting careers, Dr. McCoy was employed by Warner Lambert Pharmaceutical Company for four years.

The reason I write this review is to warn anyone from potentially choosing McCoy Dentistry. I went to McCoy for a routine cleaning and also brought with me my Invisalign Essex Retainers. I have one for my upper and lower teeth (2 in Total). Before the teeth cleaning started, the hygienist offered to clean my Retainers in one of their machines. The teeth cleaning went smoothly and I have no complaints there. However, when the hygienist returned with my retainers, she just placed it on the table next to me, in its case, which I thought was odd.
When I opened the case, the bottom one was broken in half. When I mentioned this to the hygienist, she said that she did not notice it when she put them back in the case. I found this odd because it was a very noticeable break so the hygienist either noticed they broke and put it back in the case hoping I didn't notice OR, she was very careless with them and they broke due to her carelessness.
When I spoke to the person at the front desk, who is the Dentist's daughter, she told me that it would cost $375 to get new ones and that they would only pay for $75 (20%). I informed her that I would not have agreed to get my retainers cleaned if I knew the machine would break them but she said that this has never happened before and that the retainers were old.
After leaving bewildered at how I was being treated, I decided to call back the next day and say that I think it would be fair if they paid for 50% of the $375 since only 1 of the 2 was broken. She replied that she would definitely not do that and that the Dentist (McCoy) was mad that she even offered $75. I asked her to explain why I should have to pay 80% to get new retainers, after they broke mine?
She told me that it was because they were old. I told her that I was very unhappy about this whole situation but she told me that she didn't have time to stay on the phone with me and hung up. When I called her back and asked if she hung up on me, she said again, that she doesn't have time to speak with me. I strongly caution anyone from going to McCoy Dentistry.

I absolutely love Dr. McCoy & his team! They are caring and dedicated to meet all your dental needs. I had an appointment with the hygienist today and I was a little nervous because my teeth are so sensitive, she was very gentle and thorough and I walked out of the office feeling relieved that it went so well! I finally found a dentist and hygienist that I'm not hesitant to go to.
