These guys must be doing really well. They never pick up the phone so I don't think they are looking for new patients.

I went to Dr. Bernstein in December 2020 for porcelain veneers. At first impression, both he and Alison make you feel at ease; their warm demeanor and personal, but professional guidance immediately convey the sense that you are in very capable hands. Dr. Bernstein listened to my concerns (and my wife's), offered his professional insights, and then let us know his thoughts on how I can best achieve my desired goals.

He and Alison worked closely with us, responded promptly to any questions we had, and made us feel at ease even though we were nervous. In the chair, Dr. Bernstein treated me gently, with barely any of poking and prodding that I have come to expect from a trip to the dentist. The care I received was excellent, and my new teeth look fantastic. Dr. Bernstein and Alison worked with me on shape, size and color to achieve a natural, easy smile that perfectly fits my face.

Unlike other veneers I've seen, my new teeth look like they naturally belong in my mouth. I'm thrilled to say that I am finally, for the first time in my life, confident smiling big. I couldn't be more grateful to them.

Dr. Bernstein, Allison, and Elizabeth are simply the best! When I was looking for a cosmetic dentist to correct my peg laterals and crooked teeth, I talked to several different practices and got several different quotes. The one I got from this office was on the higher side, but I decided to go with them because they really seemed to know what they were doing, had a plan, and they made me feel like I was taken care of.

What a great decision. This type of thing is really not something that you want to choose by the lowest price. I know for sure I would not have gotten the same results with such a smooth experience at another practice. It was worth every penny. I am happy with my results, and the entire experience was amazing. In fact, now that I've completed, I will actually kind of miss going there to see them! Dr. Bernstein listened to what I wanted, and what I saw for results, and got me to where we needed to go. Check out before and after.

Don't look elsewhere! This trio is great. Dr. Bernstein and Allison are great people to work with. They are warm and welcoming and actually fun to be around. I actually look forward to going to a dentist. That should say it all. Elizabeth is also great to be around and talk too, and has really found herself well in the office being a part of this team. Highly recommend! And they all have great smiles!

Dr. Bernstein is an excellent dentist, pleasant to visit even when dealing with a difficult dental problem, as I was this time. He and his staff are all delightful, professional, and do excellent work. Further, this most recent time, when I had a dental emergency he and his staff did a great job of getting me in for a much-needed long appointment on incredibly short notice. (I e-mailed them with info at about 10:00 p.m. one night, they got me in at 8:30 the next morning). Fantastic people and fantastic experience.

I recently got 4 veneers done by Dr. Bernstein and I could not be happier with the results! I had gone to 4 other consultations with dentists all over the Bay Area and most of them wanted to put veneers on all of my top teeth to give me a "Hollywood smile". I told Dr. Bernstein that I just wanted to close some gaps between my lateral teeth and he agreed that we could achieve the results I was looking for without putting veneers on any of my other healthy teeth. Dr. Bernstein did beautiful, high quality and pain free work on my teeth and I have gotten tons of compliments on my smile after seeing him. Really great people work here! I had been to 3 different dentists to try to remove stains from my teeth. No one could remove them, so I thought that maybe it was an enamel issue. This led me to Dr. Bernstein, who removed the stains from my teeth in less than 10 minutes! Amazing!

Dr. Bernstein, Allison and staff are the best. They provide excellent dental care and see each person as an individual. They support their patients' health and well-being. I highly recommend this dental office.

I was referred here by a friend and was hoping to consult for invisalign. The day before the appointment, the assistant called me to tell that the appointment is a day before what I thought. I talked to her for 15 mins and cancelled my meeting at work to make it to my appointment. When I reach there 18 mins late and ring the bell, no one opens the door and I then received a message saying that the doctor left at 5 mins ago.

They didn't even call before leaving, neither took my call when I was calling to tell I am running late or how to get in because I entered the wrong building (it was a big hospital). I can't imagine myself dealing with such inconsiderate doctor for regular appointment. I would understand it was a shorter appointment or there was a patient right after.

It was a flexible 60-90 min appointment in which I was 18 mins late and the assistant knew it was unexpected appointment for me, and 40mins commute from where I was when we talked less than an hour ago, given all these they never bothered to call/check with me before leaving the office. I would never go there again and wouldn't recommend anyone else too.

Dr. Bernstein and his staff were accommodating and took extremely good care of a patient with anxiety and real trepidation. Everyone was patient and their confidence and concern soon helped me to relax. I received a treatment plan that was explained thoroughly and suited my particular situation. I am now certain that with the help of Dr. Bernstein my dental health will be restored.

I can recommend him with absolute certainty and this could be considered a legacy referral since it was at my daughter's urging that I made the appointment with him. She trusted him based on the outstanding care she had received from him and urged me to fly to East Bay and see him. I could not be happier with my decision.

This is a seriously professional and caring practice. Dr. Bernstein recently did some veneer work for me which corrected a very poor job by a prominent Lafayette dentist. Dr. Bernstein's dental practice is by far the best I have experienced over the last 3 decades in the East Bay. I recommend Dr. Bernstein without reservation.

Dr. Bernstein and team are a wonderful group. They have been going through a treatment plan withbme for just over a month. Sounds cra-cray but I totally like going to the dentist now because I know I'm being fixed! My pain and discomfort from cavities and tmj were easily a 7+/10 for the last two years. Since I've been going to Dr. Bernstein's office it's been less and less! Highly recommend and please feel free to contact me with questions.

I despise dentists for many reasons, I made this perfectly clear to Dr. Bernstein and his staff. I have had a lot of crappy work done to my teeth over the past 5 decades. I have not had one good dentist that has treated me with the compassion and understanding I received from Dr. B. I am a very strong willed individual and it took everything I had to show up for my appt. this date.

I am so happy that I did, Dr. Bernstein promised me that I would not be in discomfort and I never once was. He is also very willing to work with me on my ongoing dental issues. I do not want to lose any of my teeth. Today, I thought I was going to come close but Dr. Bernstein insured me he would do everything he could to keep that from happening He is also working with me on dental regimate, that will be easy for me financially as I am on a fixed income. Lets face it dental work is expensive and even though Dr. Bernstein staff works with your insurance providers, hey your going to take a hit, you get what you pay for and in my opinion I have the best.

I can't wait to go back In summary my the bottom line is this, you better make an appt. soon because I plan on letting everyone I know about this incredibly talented professional and his staff. Translation- you might have to wait a long while or maybe he wont be taking new patients I have a lot of friends who have not seen a dentist in years, and I am one the Executive Officers (150 Oscar Ret) in my group. This office is one of the rare places where the front staff, Allison, is as nice as the dentist! Caring, compassionate, patient, thorough, expert in their dental management. The care they provide actually makes you not dread going to the dentist!

It doesn't get better than Dr. Bernstein. I have had constant dental problems all my life (I've had two different dentists refer to me as their "Murphy's Law patient" - bah). I initially went to Dr. Bernstein because I needed a new bridge and wanted to talk about how to make my teeth prettier in general (they weren't bad looking, but definitely far from gorgeous).

After working with Dr. Bernstein I can honestly say I have the prettiest smile of anyone I know. People, my teeth are stunning. I did have to have quite a few root canals after the reconstruction, because I have soft, sensitive teeth. However, this is apparently unusual and is certainly no fault of Dr. Bernstein's. My understanding is that most people can get away with a full reconstruction like mine with few or no root canals after the fact.

It's been 5 years since I got my new teeth and a few weeks ago the bridge broke. Dr. Bernstein replaced it free of charge - and at great personal expense because the company who made it still charged him for it. An exceptional dentist all around.

I was referred to Dr. Bernstein by my father in law. My father in law highly recommended Dr. Bernstein for his excellent work-- Ultimately, he exceeded any expectation I had and then some. I grew up with yellow calcium deposits on my upper front teeth and I was always so embarrassed by them and I hated smiling. I made a consultation appointment with Dr. Bernstein and he explained a few different treatment plans and let me decide what would work best within my budget.

He never tried to sway my decision or tell me what would be a better option. Dr. Bernstein did an amazing job describing the different procedures and I felt so comfortable with my final decision. I chose the bonding procedure and I could not be any happier with my decision. Immediately after Dr. Bernstein handed me a mirror to take a look at my teeth, I started crying.

My smile was so beautiful and white! Everything was perfect and painless! The before and after pictures are still so unreal to me. Allison and Dr. Bernstein were wonderful throughout the entire procedure and I felt incredibly safe and comfortable. Allison is so genuine, sweet and helpful and Dr. Bernstein is undeniably an incredible cosmetic dentist. His work is amazing and the overall care for his patients is unmatched. I would highly recommend Dr. Bernstein and I will definitely be back!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Bernstein and his staff. I had been to a few lackluster dentists before being referred here by one of my friends. After a short delay with booking (when I inquired, they were in the process of moving to a brand new office.which just so happens to have a gorgeous sweeping view of the Oakland Hills, FYI) I was set up for my first appointment. I'm always a little nervous when seeing a dentist, because from prior experience the cleaning is more painful than it needs to be. However, Dr. Bernstein was an absolute pro, and did an extremely thorough job of cleaning while somehow managing to avoid jabbing my gums and causing any undue pain.

My teeth came out looking and feeling fantastic when all was said and done, and Joshua and his staff were so warm and conversational that it was one of the best and most (dare I say) enjoyable experiences at a dentist. And as an extra bonus, the goodie bag came with a tongue scraper, which is something I've wanted for a while but always forget to buy! Do yourself a favor and book your next appointment here. You won't regret it!

I finally have the teeth I've always wanted! My veneers look and feel just like they were my own teeth. Dr. Bernstein and his team did such a great job making sure I achieved just the look I wanted and that my experience was painless and carefree. I really liked the comfort menu they gave me to help me select the experience that would make me feel the most comfortable during the procedure.

Dr. Josh Bernstein is at the leading edge of his profession, a perfectionist performing his work, and is among the finest human beings one could hope to meet. Dr. Bernstein (and his remarkable staff) not only brought my damaged molars back into perfect shape, he also cured my dentist phobia in the process. This was a major endeavor and not once did I experience pain, discomfort or admonition. It was literally painless, and it changed my life much for the better. I recommend Dr. Bernstein with complete confidence, I can't imagine a better dental care experience.

I have known Dr. Bernstein for over 30 years and I can not say enough good things about him and his dental practice. He is an extremely skilled practitioner and holds himself to the highest standards in dentistry. He is always on the cutting edge with dental techniques and procedures and has state of the art equipment in his practice. Dr. Bernstein is the most amazing dentist! I had a really great experience with him and his staff and I would recommend him to anyone. I had veneers done on many of my teeth and I had front teeth that had experienced previous trauma. I was nervous about having my front teeth worked on again and Dr. Bernstein listened to my concerns and provided the right type of anesthesia and medication so that everything was truly without pain! I felt more like I was in a relaxing spa experience than in going to the dentist.

Theresa B could not possibly be farther off and I am genuinely SHOCKED by her response. Then again, maybe it's not so shocking, since she's never given anything more than one star.just take the negativity into account people. Josh Bernstein has been my dentist for roughly fourteen years now, and I have referred countless friends and family to him over the years.

He is beyond exceptional in his craft, and he is a caring, sensitive and philanthropic man to boot. He is endlessly conscious and cautious with pain management (you can even opt for sedation if you have dentist-related anxiety like my little sister), so I have never once had a moment of discomfort in his care, he has always been sensitive to my budget and he calls me to follow up after every appointment to make sure I'm doing okay.

His (not inconsiderable) work on my family, friends and me has been beautiful, quality work that we've never, ever had any complaint with. When I was living in Santa Cruz for four years, I would even drive two hours to see him- I will never go to another dentist! The office is beautiful (doesn't feel clinical or cold at all!), with a wonderful, sensitive staff and a comfortable, luxurious vibe.

They make sure you are always comfortable with blankets or a drink, and you can even watch DVDs while he works on you! If that doesn't convince you, you should know that I entrusted Josh with my boyfriend's life, when an abscessed wisdom tooth became infected and the infection spread to his entire body and became dangerous. The office reminded me that this was the kind of thing people could die from, and that we should get it taken care of right away.

My fella had no insurance and next to no money, but Josh took unbelievable and immediate care of him anyway. EDIT: Josh recently took out two of my wisdom teeth and it was a great experience! If you have any anxiety whatsoever, this doc will take GREAT care of you. I didn't feel a second of pain, I was able to hang out in the office and sleep off a bit of the anesthesia, and best of all- I don't remember a thing! Woo!

You are the BEST, Josh! Josh is conscientious, thorough, extremely qualified and very, very kind. He, his staff and his family are dear, sweet, valued friends and I trust him innately. I absolutely cannot recommend him and his team highly enough. You will be doing yourself a huge favor if you choose him to be your dentist.
