Mary is our Registered Dental Hygienist. She has been trained in the latest Periodontal techniques including Oral DNA bacterial testing and Laser to get the gums back to optimum health and keep them that way! Mary also works in the background as our "Financial Liaison, " she is an expert in Workman's Compensation Insurance as well as our Dental Insurance trouble shooter. She is an expert with all types of insurances. She will help you out with any difficulties with your financial needs in our dental office.
Dr. Hagstrom tries to do his part in giving back to the community by helping kids and sports teams. Helping the kids is very rewarding for all of us. Our commitment to provide assistance for these teams is in keeping with the Mission Statement for our dental practice. It enables us to help create the same team environment and support which we enjoy.

I have been a patient with Dr Hagstrom for over 25 years and have nothing but praise for him and his office staff. I've always been taken well care of and don't feel like a number when I go there, they treat me like a person and they know my name. Also Dr. Hagstrom utilizes the latest in dental technology, and I'm always amazed with all the computers and 3-D models he uses to create the best dental service around. If you are looking for a great dentist try this gem of an office tucked away in La Mesa.

My visit was not what I expected. Every person I encountered was so professional. This was my initial visit. Filling out the required health paperwork was easy and done online so I didn't have to get there early. I really liked that alot. I was surprised at the depth of photos and x-rays though. It really does make alot of sence because before Dr Haggstrom looked into my mouth.
He had identified my issues, even before I could fully explain them myself. Wow! I Never had that happen before. Anyway about it I needed some serious help and I believe I will get it here. In fact I know I will because now I have a plan. Trust is earned! My first vist was a nice start!

This dental office is perfect! From the very first time I walked into their beach-themed office I felt a huge difference between other dental offices/businesses and this one. The staff is more than courteous and helpful. One is made to feel a part of a really great group of friends.friends who also know what they are doing professionally. Additionally, they are easy to talk with and are very informative. Dr. Hagstrom is a "good guy".
He has set his office and business up to be welcoming, comfortable (for those who are scared of dentists), replete with all the updated equipment and services necessary to be successful.example: they make your crown in the office that day! Dr. Hagstrom uses multiple updated techniques and equipment to ensure his patients are cared for and want to return. From my first day to my last day I walked out of A Shop For Smiles with a huge smile and sense of comfortable satisfaction.
