I have been going to Hercules Dental for over 11 years. That's got to say something, right?! The staff has always been super friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. I've actually moved out of the area and I still come here. Won't trust my dental care to anyone else. I have been going here for 19 years!

I came in early. Exhausted from just my days of life. I said I would take a nap in the waiting room. The receptionist went above and beyond she gave me a private room, lights out, shades closed, with a blanket to nap until my appt. I needed that. It's the little things to me. I thank them.

Worse unethical experience with customer service. Went in as a first time patient and the front desk girl mixed up my name, the hygienist figured out mid- clean up. My husband went in as well and the front desk girl gave him the wrong amount to pay 3x. They called us back to give us another amount! Also, Call to cancel an extraction appointment and the receptionist was rude didn't even get my name or any other information and hung up on me.

I can't believe this place has almost 5 stars. Let's start with the receptionist they seem like they don't know what they're doing I was left on hold for like 15 minutes for one simple question the scheduling coordinator whoever's in charge of scheduling didn't follow through with what they were supposed to do for me which made me have to go to a whole nother facility.

The orthodontist is only there once every three weeks which is a huge inconvenienceand I didn't find that out until after the service I got and everybody around there just seem scattered like they don't know what they're doing. Proceed with caution.

I wish I can out a zero star. THIS PLACE is just so uncommunicative and unfriendly. First of all the receptionist is just rude and makes you feel like your in the wrong and the fact that I have to justify an issue regarding an unfamiliar statement charge to my insurance DURING THIS TIME OF COVID! I waited for them to call me back to fix this issue and I yet had to call the second time for them TO HELP ME after 2 weeks have passed to resolve this issue. FINALLY after gaining gray hair from this place.

They voided the statement. check your mail they might have taken advantage of these tough times. Save ur time and teeth. Not worth the stress. I just want me teeth clean with no strings attached! or floss. LOL

First time patient, went in for a cleaning, I already have a regular dental office that I love just could not get to them due to Covid-19 hours. Hercules Dental Care showed great Customer Service. The Medical Assistance and Hygentist were absolutely amazing reason for the 5 Stars. I met with the Doctor for a quick second a simple delight to talk to.

Only downside is I spent too much time filling out forms, recommending that they put all documents/forms online using a prefill software and eliminate the 30 to 40 minutes of sitting in the office filling out forms( unless you have patients who do not have online access). Other than that wonderful Dental Service.

Horrible service and unethical, their the professionals supposedly, but when they see an opportunity to get more money they will do a piss poor job and make you go back and get the more expensive work done. Their prices are 10-15% more than other dentists from the start and always talking about how expensive the material used to fix your teeth is.

This review is about the reception/front desk. I called for an appointment and a lady named Marina got me on hold to check on the availability of the dates.she got me on hold for more than 40 mins (that's after like 5 or so minutes of explaining what I've wanted). 3 movies and 20 music videos later (lol), a different lady came on the phone and asked what do I need.really?.I've been waiting for more than 40 min for nothing?

When I asked what happened to the other lady, she said the other one got busy.wait, what?.she got busy?.and just ignored me?.obviously, my business is not that important to her. Anyways, seems like this Dental Clinic's receptionist needs some seminar on the proper etiquette and how to orderly prioritize their patients and most importantly, how to value their patient's business and time - their patients, who btw are keeping their business afloat.what's more important than that?.the other lady who picked up the phone was nice and courteous. OK, I think its time to look for another dental clinic that values and respects my business.they've just lost a family of 3.all because of a lousy receptionist's service.btw, after listening for more than 40 min, I started liking your "on-hold background music".NOT.lol Seriously, the reception/front desk is a very important factor on your clinic's image or for any business for that matter They're the first ones your patients will meet, speak to and interact. However good your services were, if your front desk is lousy, irresponsible and no respect, it will definitely bring down whatever positive image you might have had.

My 23 year old daughter had her first cavity filled there today and I am outraged at the treatment she received. Another reviewer said they were treated like "fast food" and that's exactly what happened. They pretty much stabbed her gums to numb her with no prep or gentleness. The doctor filled her tooth, without any checking on how she was feeling throughout the session.

When done, he got up and walked out without a word. My daughter had to ask were they done. There was no aftercare instructions or even a how are you feeling. Terrible. My daughter is absolutely the nicest young lady you will ever meet and she was so upset by this experience. Mind you she has been using this dental practice for years, but please believe this is her last trip there.

Would not recommend! You're treated like a fast food restaurant. Long wait time even if you have an appointment. When you're finally seated in exam chair, dentist is juggling multiple patients and not focused on you. A routine cleaning takes over an hour! Inexperienced dental assistant does most of work and dentist comes in, for the last few minutes of appointment, to give you quick look over. Poor customer service and experience. They charge a premium but you get treated like you're on a conveyor belt.

I will never go back to this place.had appointment for my son 1pm got there at 12:50 pm told me to come back in 1 hour doctor was running late. I left came back hour later.waited another half hour.l had to complain my son was in pain.was told there cleaning room.but when i complained they took my son right back to the room.while in the room I want to know exactly what the dentist was going to do he didn't real want to show me.so this rude lady came in and told me she talk to my wife and tried to tell me my wife told her we didn't have the money for all the work that needed to be done.which was a lie.we have insurance. I'm not rich but when it comes to my kids I will do what I have to so my son feels better.

I can't say enough about Dr. Lin and his Dental Practice. He has installed multiple pieces of equipment during this Covid Crisis, providing multiple layers of protection for patients and staff alike. He and the hygienist I see Michelle, are professional, kind and caring. I feel lucky to have his practice in Hercules. Carolee B

They used to be great, but not anymore. poor customer service, rude on the phone and not helpful in person. Had something done they said insurance will cover but did not. I was passed around person to person and nobody helped. not coming back ever, me and my fam

I've been coming here for years and I am never disappointed. Every time I call they usually accommodate me and schedule something for me. They are open on Saturdays which is pretty convenient but try to make an appointment ahead because it does get busy. The parking lot is huge so parking is never an issue The place is clean and the staff is always very nice.

They do a great job cleaning. My family comes here too and it has always been a positive experience. We gotten fillings, regular and deep cleaning and it has always been great! Michelle is wonderful! I usually request for her.

I love this dental office. Especially my dentist Dr Francis Cruz who is completely awesome! I even enjoy dealing with the rest of the staff as well. My only issue was having access to a dental note when requested for work since I needed a root canal and the earliest the specialist was available was almost two weeks out. Which I was denied the extension because I did not ask originally for the extra days. Regardless prior to that time and from then they have been efficient, professional, and personable and I adore this kind of service.

When I saw the insurance claim approval receipt, I figured my co-payment was $101 instead of paid amount $155. I request refund of the excess amount over phone couple times and received no response. I requested again in 2-3 weeks and no response was received. At that point, I wanted to file my grievance to dental my insurance provider. After that they refunded the amount and declined/terminate any of my future coverage and by sending me a letter of dismissal as a punishment (without showing any valid reason) for asking valid refund of the excessively charged copay. This service provider violates the basic principle of providing dental care Avoid this dental service provider

I have been coming to get my teeth cleaned and examined for several years now and am very happy with the staff. Dr Lin and all of his associates are friendly and professional. Michelle and Cameron are excellent hygienist's and care about their client's teeth. Always gives me feedback if I am doing a good job of brushing and flossing or if I need to improve it. The staff cares for their client's teeth health so that is why I continue to come here for services.

Was very good until they expanded. Now I feel like a cattle led off to slaughter. Hygienist are rushed to get next patient in. My last visit the doctor cleaned my teeth then asked the assistant to floss and polish my teeth, she walked away and came back with a bag with tooth brush and floss and said okay let me walk you up front to schedule another appointment. Not necessarily. Never again. One exception Michelle (Hygienist) is great!

I recently switched over to Hercules Dental, where my husband had been a patient for years. I'd previously been going to Union Square Dental Practice in SF, which is a wonderful group, but I needed to find treatment during the weekends. It is easy to make a weekend appointment at Hercules Dental. The staff is very friendly and professional. My cleaning and x-rays went smoothly, and I was not given a sales pitch on unnecessary procedures. Parking is super easy, and the office is located right off the highway.

I had a very unhappy experience here today. Apparently they know that they are unable to verify my insurance on Saturday, but they still asked me to go. After spending half an hour, they told me they could not verify my insurance and wanted to reschedule my appointment. To make matters worse, they brought up a disputed $18 bill for service they claimed they did about deep cleaning my wisdom tooth, but totally without my knowledge. I feel it was an insult and i should have a better memory now to avoid this place!

Everyone is very friendly and professional. Staff offered me a cozy blanket during the cleaning to ensure I was warm and comfortable. That was a nice touch! Very gentle and considerate of my needs and sensitive gums during my pregnancy. As pleasurable as a trip to the dentist can be!

I was seen in the office for about a year and 1/2. I had good service from the office staff, procedural staff and doctors. Due to the extended hours and ease of getting in and out scheduling wise I did not feel like I established a "I know you" relationship with staff. But, at the time what I needed was quality care and convenience and this fit the requirements! Thank you so much!

Needed care for back molar and was set to Dr. Lin. Upon arrival he was in extended surgery so I was directed to Dr. Ballan Tuck. My fortunate luck. Dr. Tuck has a great way about him, calm, cool, collected, assertive with a smile and air of confidence. His manner, affability and personal touch are intoxicating. What a great dentist on top of his personality.

I scored 100% with Dr. Tuck. Hope all of you are fortunate to be visited by Dr. Tuck or ask for him directly. What a great experience. I also sent my super positive experience to the California Dental Board. Very deserving. His attendant, Robin, is great as well. Very business oriented, direct and pleasing manner as well. Can't go wrong with this team. Hope your all so lucky.

For months I've resisted the urge not to write a review on this place, but after today's appointment, or lack there of, I just have to! This office is a complete joke! The staff turnover is ridiculous, they make you wait forever, and they always seem to be out of supplies! I bet you're wondering why I continue to come here if things are so bad? Well, because I have to!

My teeth were so ugly when their Orthodontist removed my braces, I am now being treated with Invisalign. He had the audacity to tell me he thought my teeth looked great! Even Stevie Wonder could see the overbite he created! I've posted a picture, you be the judge. Today I showed up at 2:55 for a 3:00 appointment and walked out at 3:45 because I hadn't been seen. They probably don't even know I'm gone.

Long story short, like many other reviewers here, I had problems with their billing and insurance department a few months ago but never bothered to take any action as I just switched dentists. I had been a customer here for a few years and I must say although Dr. Lin does excellent work, the front office and insurance claims has gone downhill ever since they moved to the front location and started getting more staff to handle different departments.

Every time I visited the office in the past there seemed to be new staff almost every time. I'm not going to dwell and go into detail about my issue as it was in the past and I don't want to bring it back up again as I have moved on but I'm only posting this review as I looked this place up again after getting a postcard in the mail and was reading a lengthy negative review about a customer with major billing issues a few days ago and today, it seems that the review has gone missing along with another negative review thread which had some updates and detailed information about a issue about a lady and her children. I'm not sure what happened to those reviews, but they were quite informative.

I hope the customers didn't get bullied into removing their honest and unbiased reviews. Anyways, in my opinion this dental office is pretty good if you are clear and on top of your insurance and the billing, make sure to meet with Dr. Lin as he is excellent in his technique, he is only present 2 days per week which is unfortunate as Dr. Lin himself is an excellent dentist who is very knowledgeable and is swift in the procedures and always has the updated equipment. HOWEVER, if you are not clear on your coverage and have to rely on the staff to handle your insurance claims and billing.

I wouldn't really recommend the office after my billing issue as it was a headache, but I scrounged for some money and paid it off to avoid trouble. In my opinion, I think the office staff needed some training on billing practices and other insurance policies. All in all, I really don't have a problem with Dr. Lin as he is actually a really good dentist, however the personnel who work there to me seems to bring down the image of this nice dental office. I've thoroughly gone through every single review here and it seems that many of the negative reviews are because of billing issues and are all quite recent so in actuality, this dental office is actually quite good due to Dr. Lin.

Despite the billing issues, if you want a good dentist, I would recommend Dr. Lin, of course be cautious of the billing and insurance claims, just pay special attention and you will be good to go as Dr. Lin provides excellent care. Dr. Lin is excellent in complex procedures and has all of the newest equipment get the job done quickly and efficiently.

I can assure you that I am a real person and that my review is legit, I'm not some random person. My review is honest and unbiased and is based solely on my opinion, I was not influenced by anyone nor am I affiliated with the dental office. My review is based off my prior billing experience at the office, I am no longer a patient at this office. TLDR: Dr. Lin is excellent, billing department needs major improvement.

Extremely friendly staff. I have a fear of dentists and haven't been for a long time. They put me immediately at ease with little to no wait time. Doctor explained situation and remedy thoroughly. Great vibe. As much as I fear going to the dentist, I have now found a place where I feel comfortable getting preventive care, as well as the emergency care I needed with this visit. Thumbs up.

This review is coming from someone who never goes to a dentist or doctor. Have always had a fear of dentist and doctors - hate needles! After all the years and money wasted away on dental insurance I finally decided to get my teeth cleaned. 1st VISIT - Dr. Mathews cleaned my teeth. She was very rough, spoke loudly, was busy talking to her assistant about life than focusing on me and being smooth, gentle.

Not my kind of dentist. She told me my gold crown had several holes in and needed to be replaced before a root canal was needed. That scared me because I knew it was going to "hurt." I was afraid to go back especially to see Dr. Mathews. I also had a cavity. I wanted to schedule an appt to fix the cavity. She told me she would not fix me cavity without first replacing my gold crown.

My husband also had work done with Dr. Mathews. He will never go back to her again. OVER A YEAR WENT BY BEFORE I FOUND COURAGE TO SCHEDULE ANOTHER APPT. 2nd VISIT - I asked for the most gentle dentist. They gave me Dr. Michelle Pilones. I cannot say enough how amazing Dr. Pilones is! She replaced my gold crown and fixed my cavities. I have been back for a 3rd and 4th visit.

What is best is Dr. Michelle Pilones was gentle enough, extremely professional and friendly putting all my fears at ease. At this point, I have no fear going to see her. I am so grateful to have found her because teeth maintenance is important. Overall the office is very clean, staff is friendly, professional. There are LCD TVs above each chair for your viewing, better yet.distraction. Plenty of parking. The office is right inside the main building doors for easy and quick access. They text and email reminders of your appointment.
