Family Dental Care - Babak Souferian

Ok. now I'VE started to going to Dr. Souferian. and wow.what a "relateable" guy! He's every NY'er's match in a person that understands and empathizes with the "uncomfortable" nature that is."going to the dentist". Maybe that's part of the distraction from your fear of pain. Works for me. Seriously.one of the best professionals I've met in NYC and I'm so happy to have him locally here in Bay Ridge.

This is one of those Yelp reviews that you're always reluctant to write, because shining a deserved spotlight just might extend my wait or take away from my "secret".however, dental care this good is really just wrong to hoard it. Check him out.

Dr. Souferian is excellent. He is honest and will not persuade you to do any unnecessary extra procedures or cosmetic treatments unless it's what you want to do. He has hygienists working for him that are very good but he also does cleanings himself as well and is gentle when working in your mouth.

Dr Souferian and his whole staff are friendly and professional. I've had bad experiences with DDS's and Dr S was patient, answered my questions and they make cleaning painless. They give references and assist if you need your records sent to another facility.

My friend recommended Dr Souferian after I cracked a tooth. His office gave me an appointment the same day (within 2 hours). He repaired the tooth in minutes. Going back in two weeks for a cleaning. I have a new dentist. He and his staff are great.

I had an appointment today with Dr. Souferian as an emergency due to a cracked tooth. I had never seen him before. His office managed to squeeze me in when I told her was an emergency. Everyone in the office was extremely professional and meeting my needs. The office is immaculate. I felt very safe there. Dr. Souferian is personable, extremely knowable and sensitive to my needs.

As a new patient he went out his way to reassure me and solve my dental needs. It was easy to make a follow up appointment. I will happily be using him as my dentist in the future

He is awesome. After a few bad experiences with previous dentists (including a surprise root canal!) I was ready to say that I truly hated dentists. Then I met Dr. Souferian who restored my faith. I've been seeing him for 2 years now, my gums and teeth are back to health. Not only did his office do thorough and amazing cleanings, they also cared to coach you through good dental hygiene at home.

He and his office asked me questions about my dental habits, and took the time to provide sound guidance. My dental phobia is nearly cured. Now if only I could get the rid of my fear of dental drills, but so far so good thanks to Dr. Souferian I'm also cavity-free.

Dr. Souferian is the best dentist I've ever had. He's very compassionate, gentle, and gives you honest advice when it comes to any dental work you may need done. I used to dread going to other dentists because I have high anxiety but I actually look forward to visiting Dr. Souferian for my checkups, he's truly an amazing dentist, he always puts you at ease and I highly recommend him to everyone.

They gunna be nice with u as long as they still take ur insurance once they stop.they don't care about u anymore won't even answer ur calls

So I scheduled my appointment a month ahead and made sure I ask if they take my dental insurance the answer was yes! and after a long wait and having to leave work early to go to the appointment I get there and I was told that my insurance covers only 50% and I have to pay the other 50% out of pocket. Very disappointed and the reception has the nerve to lie to my face and said she left me a message about this issue. Total bullshit

Amazing experience, happy I found my new dentist. Its so hard these days to find someone who is honest and who doesn't push any extra work on you. Came here for a regular check up and cleaning and it went great. Very reasonable rates. Office staff was also great and very kid friendly. Will recommend and will be back! Thanks Dr Souferian!

Wife had tooth extraction here and everything went smoothly. She really likes the personality and demeanor of Dr. Souferian, and I must say, I might give him a try for my next appointment. His office is a little "low key", but the staff and services are professional and top notch. Insurance and co-pay were accepted and much more reasonable than what I'm used to. Great local professional, without the hype or overhead.

Came to Dr. Souferian for a 2nd opinion on some dental work I needed. He saved me $1,000 and thoroughly explained why the recommended work from another dentist wasn't necessary. He completed the work right there on the spot and was very knowledgable. I don't leave a lot of yelp reviews, but had to do it for him.

Dr. Souferian and his staff are amazing! He always takes the time to answer all of my questions. He is gentle and kind and makes the experience very positive. I can't thank him and his team enough for their kindness.

Dr. Souferian and his staff are amazing. He makes you feel completely comfortable with all work and decisions regarding your teeth. Even in a case whereas he could've pushed a more expensive solution - he is completely honest and candid about a more affordable fix. I can say I FINALLY found a dentist that I truly trust and honestly, kinda enjoy going to see him.

He is very personable in a very calm and laid back way. His office has a very nice energy about it. Everyone from the receptionist to the dental assistant are really sweet and nice people! I was seeing a dentist locally - and i was just OK with the service - felt like i was being had financially a few times and that really rubs me the wrong way. Dr. Souferian you never have to worry about that. If you're thinking of giving him a shot - you 100 percent should, you won't regret it.

The dentist was awesome and I'm not just saying that because my face is still numb. He answered all my questions and actually broke down price for me which most doctors wont do. He was also super friendly.

It's unbelievable how patient and great he is with children. My son is has very sensitive nerves and all the unfamiliar sensations of a dentists office (vibrations, suctions, and worst of all drills), and is possibly the least cooperative patient in the history of dental patients everywhere, however Dr. Souferian has never shown any annoyance, impatience, or anger at the dangerous flailing my kid will do everytime he hears the doctor pick up an instrument (any instrument, the fear is complete).

He is a thousand times more patient and understanding than I am, and has truly done a lot to ease my son's fears (not make them disappear, but certainly ease them!) As far as quality of work goes, I'm a patient of his also and I have no complaints on either of our care; teeth always feel clean after a cleaning, and Dr. Souferian does a great job of noting areas of concern without scaring his patients into unnecessary procedures.

I didn't even know dentists this great existed, so thank you! Also, the office staff is always super friendly, they remember us each time, and are as helpful and wonderful as the doctor himself!

Dr. Souferian has been my dentist for over 10 years. I've Refered him friends and relatives. I've earned great experienced and travel to him all the way from great neck. Yes, that's how great he is. I really truly wish his establishment to stay successful and on my end I will always refer patients to him. I know dentists that aren't even close to the services that Dr. Souferian renders to his patients. Highly recommended.

This place is very nice! You stop by and get the service you needed. The doctor is attentive and very friendly. My experience was great!

EMERGENCY FRACTURED TOOTH: I had a fractured tooth which happened at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. I reviewed online providers in my area covered by my insurance and Dr. Souferian was part of the network (Assurant / Aetna). I found out that they were open 7-days a week (Sundays!). I called first thing when they opened (10:00 a.m.) and they got me in that early afternoon (1:00 p.m.).

The staff was friendly on the phone, the dental assistant and front desk personnel were professional, courteous and personable. They had forms available on their website which I downloaded and had completed before my arrival. I also photocopied my insurance card and provided search result printout and had ready for them before arriving to the office.

This sped up the 1-time-visitor process. Dr. Souferian was pleasant, professional, personable and comforting. I was concerned as I was leaving for Spain two days later. The doctor assured me that they could take care of it right away. They did an x-ray to ensure that the fracture wasn't deeper than it appeared. He carefully explained (1) what the problem was (2) what the procedure would be to remedy it (3) what could be necessary in the future and (4) assured me to come back if there were further discomfort.

I was in and out within an hour: he removed the old filling, put in a new filling, shaved the tooth down for proper bite-alignment. Before anything was done, he explained what was to take place. And made sure I gave permission for move ahead. I did not have to wait in the waiting room and they attended to me immediately. I highly recommend their facility. A professional dental clinic in the neighborhood.
