Dr. Gajjar attended New York University College of Dentistry, where he received his doctor of dental surgery degree and completed his general practice residency at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.

Dr. Strachan is the best dentist I've ever had. He is professional, knowledgeable, and polite. He gives concrete and sincere advice and recommendations. He is a great at listening to my concerns and answering all of my questions. The front staff is also super friendly and polite. Overall best dentist experience ever. I highly recommend.

The time I spent yesterday with the Dental Hygienist Tacean (I know I spelled her name wrong. Sorry!) under Dr. Strachan was "GREAT". She did a scaling/deep cleaning of the right side of my mouth and happily to say, I had no discomfort. Her professionalism and compassion for me was very impressive. I really felt comfortable with her explanation of my situation as well as what my next steps would be in remedying my issues. I have to comeback next week to do the left side of my mouth. I've been coming to Dr. Gajjar for my dental care for a few years now. I love that you can always get an appointment when you need one and the appointments always start promptly. I've had cleanings and dental work done but it's never been painful. I also appreciate takes the Doctor takes the time to explain the X-Rays and answer any questions you may have and you're still in and out in a reasonable time.

Dr. Strachan and his staff are skilled, professional and courteous - actually, more than courteous - warm and caring. My teeth are fragile - I clench them at night, so I have extensive experience with complicated dentistry, and Dr. Stratchen is wonderful. He not only provided excellent emergency care, he also repaired a crown that was made by another dentist.
That crown actually fell out, and Dr. Stratchen fixed it the day I called. Wait times have been minimal, his staff is kind and helpful, and Dr. Stratchen is amazing. I would, and have, recommended him to friends and family.

I had a very good experience with Dr. Strachan. Maybe things have changed since Janice P's review in May 2011, but I was not waiting in the waiting room for very long. After I filled out the paperwork since I was a new patient, I was quickly whisked into a room to be seen. Dr. Strachan listened to everything I had to say and did a very thorough check-up.
His technology seems to be very up to date (getting x-rays with him was a breeze). He was not rough and I wasn't in any pain throughout my entire teeth cleaning. He was very professional and had given me tips on things to look out for (I naturally don't have wisdom teeth on my lower jaw and he told me the wisdom teeth, although not impacted, may start to come down over time). I felt like he took a genuine interest in my health and am happy to be his patient!

Do not use this dentist office unless you are unemployed and can afford to wait around for over one hour without any courtesies. I made an appointment for 5:30pm because I did not want to interrupt my work day. I was asked to switch to earlier in the day. I arrived at 10:30. I was kept in the examining room with a bib on for 50 minutes. Not once was I told "we'll be with you shortly" not one customer courtsesy.
Once I decided to leave, there wasn't an apology. Apparently if the staff wants to get out early, the patient must change their appointment and be ready to wait. Unacceptable. I'll stick to my Manhattan dentist.
