I had been searching for a dentist to replace my beloved dentist who retired two years ago! After weeding out about a half dozen others I am so pleased to have found the folks at Laurelwood Dental. Dr. Hall is a perfect fit for me. not eager to do unnecessary procedures and just a relaxed and confident and gentle person. So relieved that my search is over and so pleased I finally found a group that I feel so comfortable with!

This practice is the BEST dental office HANDS DOWN. I have had many crowns replaced! They are made in the office and are always the perfect fit. I never once have had to go back with a problem. You need Laurelwood Dental to be your dental office, if you are lucky enough to be in Portland

I have severe dental anxiety (medical anxiety in general) and the staff here from the front desk, to the hygienists, to the doctors have been so wonderful in helping me manage it. Stephanie is my best hygenist ever! Incredibly thorough but also very gentle. I no longer absolutely dread going to the dentist!

I took my mom to Laurelwood Dental, she's 94 and very fragile. Doctor Hall was so gentle and patient with her and his assistant Jacob as well. Cheerful, friendly, reassuring but most of all excellent work in a comfortable and efficient office. Highly recommend.

I find Dr Hall pompous and rude. We will be moving on from Laurewood after 6 years, due to his unprofessional behavior. Dr Edward's and the rest of the staff are delightful!

Highly recommend Laurelwood Dental. Best dental experience I have ever had. Dr. Hall and his assistant Melissa are simply amazing. I was very embarrassed to be seen since it had been so long since I've been to the dentist. This feeling was immediately gone after meeting with them both. They made me feel so comfortable and assured me that they would take good care of me.

After my exam they sat with me to figure out what work needed to be done and the most effective way to accomplish this with my insurance and budget. I've since had a few procedures done and Dr. Hall and Melissa were very gentle and made sure they took their time to accommodate my teeth sensitivity. When you step into Laurelwood, you're greeted with a smile and laughter.

No matter how busy they are, I always feel like I am their only patient. I look forward to every appointment and leave feeling more and more confident in my smile. Shannon at the front desk is amazing, Tiffany- who has been cleaning my teeth since 2007 and the entire staff at Laurelwood Dental provide customer service the old-fashioned way. What a fabulous dental practice! You get seen at your appointment time, the folx are friendly, and the billing staff is accurate and helpful with my insurance. Dr. Edwards is great at explaining process. Mike is my hygienist and my teeth feel so clean when I am done. Their safety practices during COVID make me feel safe.

Team Stephanie! I have a wonderful experience with Stephanie as my hygienist. She was very thorough with my annual cleaning and made the process quite enjoyable. I've been seeing Lisa and Dr Hall for as long as I can remember. They're always wonderful and accommodating and make what can be a not fun experience enjoyable every time. If you're looking for a new dentist, I can't recommend them enough!

A year later, I still say I love these people and expect to be with them as long as I have teeth! As always, my last appointment at Laurelwood Dental was excellent. This time, they have added a number of protections against Covid-10 which made me feel comfortable being there in that respect. The dentists, the hygienist, and the desk staff are all confidence-inspiring and friendly.

As I lay in the chair this time, I kept remembering how I formerly (at another place) dreaded going to the dentist. Now it feels like a positive experience. As a non-dental-insured patient I appreciate the cash discount. I can't imagine what could drag me away from these people!

Excellent customer service from first call for an appointment as a new patient all the way thru to check out! Tiffany was an outstanding hygienist and educated me on much, and a great positive person to talk to during the appointment. Dr. Hall was very personable and informative as well. As a kid and a young adult, I never liked the dentist nor did I have the best dental hygiene habits. Fast forward to when I started receiving dental care at Laurelwood Dental. That all changed. The staff are all wonderful people; friendly, funny, normal every day folks. My hygenist Mike always has me laughing with the story sharing we do twice a year. It's because of the caring staff that I have felt inclined to do a better job at caring for my teeth and gums. And I'm now beginning to see some winning results!

It took me 5 years to go back to the dentist due to fear. Now I LOVE going to the dentist! Tiffany has made my fears of getting my teeth cleaned disappear. She is fun, knowledgeable, and gentle. Dr. Edwards is just as awesome!

Just got back from a cleaning and felt motivated to write a review to share this fantastic dentistry with others. The Covid precautions in place made me feel extremely safe, everyone that works there is very welcoming at kind. I think my favorite parts are hearing the laughter from other patients while they are in for their appointments or having the dentist (Dr. Edwards) examine me during my cleaning rather than waiting for the cleaning to be over and then being on my way. Would recommend without hesitation.

Going to the dentist doesn't make one jump up for joy, but the team at Laurelwood Dental make it as pleasant as possible. The staff is unfailingly cheerful and professional. We see Dr Reed Hall and he's a great dentist. He is open to client questions and discussions, which for someone like me with a high "need to know, " is great. Both my daughter and I really appreciate the care from Laurelwood Dental. Check them out!

If you're a dental chicken, this place is clucking great! I've been going here for years and can't say enough good things about Dr. Edwards, the hygienists and the staff. Dr. Edwards is mellow, professional and super communicative - he always lets you know exactly what's going on and the state of things inside your pie hole. The Covid protocols made me feel super safe and I've been cavity free every visit (knock on wood). Also, they give away quality Oral-B toothbrushes after your visit - none of those junky cheap ones that feel like you're brushing your teeth with shards of glass.

I didn't think that dealing with a broken tooth could be a good experience, but it was. I would give Laurelwood Dental 6 stars if I could, this is as good as it gets. Everyone I interacted with there was both compassionate and consummately professional. Their technical tools and methodology seem to be state of the art, and the whole process was remarkably smooth and painless.

They even lent me some nice Bose headphones so I could listen to an audiobook on my phone during the procedure. And while dental work is never cheap, the final cost was reasonable for the work done. The reviews are right. This is where you want to go.

When my dentist retired I needed to find a new one, so I checked reviews and Laurelwood stood out. After my first appointment I knew I'd chosen the right practice. My hygienist, Stephanie, was thorough and knowledgeable. Dr. Hall gave me some suggestions about gum care my previous dentist had never mentioned. They have exceptional Covid precautions, and the friendly yet professional atmosphere also helped me feel comfortable. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Easy to make an appointment. Easy and safe feeling visit during Covid time. Even though I hadn't been to a dentist in years, there was no guilt trip, no upsell, no bizarre treatments needed to keep my teeth from falling out (I've been distrustful of dentists since being conned into an under the gums cleaning years back). I needed to have a couple cavities filled and they were able to schedule me for the next day. The cavity filling was also very non-traumatic.

This is the most pleasant dentist experience I've ever had! And I'm a dentist hater. I always see Tiffany and she is so kind and friendly. Makes an experience I used to dread painless and easy. Clean, friendly, efficient! I definitely recommend them, I've never gone to a dentist I like more.

Without hesitation I would recommend Laurelwood Dental. Dr. Edwards is personable and knowledgeable. I appreciate that Dr. Edwards visits when available during the appointment rather than waiting to the end for dentist to arrive. It makes the whole process more efficient. I've had a few different hygienists and have found all of the them to do a great job while also being careful and safe (especially during COVID). 5 stars!

OMG! Regarding dental care, I had no idea what I've been missing! Today was my first appointment, but it won't be my last! Details? Hygienist Mike and Dr. Edwards were never rushed with me (ah, what a pleasure!), and answered all my questions to my COMPLETE satisfaction, and explained even more that I didn't know to ask about. That means a lot to me, as I'm very motivated to care well for my teeth.

I learned more useful info from those two during my initial appointment than ever before during *any* dental appointment! I didn't feel like "just" another patient. I felt treated with COMPLETE (there's that word again) respect! Like I said, I had no idea what I've been missing (better late than never)! So, for anyone reading all these 5-star reviews, I'm happy to sing their praises whenever I can!

I never thought I'd be excited about a dentist appointment, but I was thrilled to get my cleaning now that Portland is opening back up! I've gone to Laurelwood for 5 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Their office is punctual, professional, and their communications are always clear. They really seem to go above and beyond for their patients. All the staff I've interacted with are wonderful, especially my hygienist, Tiffany! She's an absolute joy. I highly recommend his practice!

The dentists and hygienists are top notch. I loved it until I didn't. Unfortunately the front desk staff are uppity snobs, and the manager GAYLA is awful. No diversity. I left because of the them. Went over to Timber dental and it was a world of difference. Even better.

A truly remarkable team, and this is coming from someone who fears the dentist like no other. The front desk staff is very patient while scheduling and flexible in regards to helping with insurance. Both hygienists I've had (Michael & Tiffany) are exceptionally gentle yet thorough. Dr. Edwards is awesome. literally the first time in my 42 years where I don't fully panic in the chair, and it's 100% thanks to his calm. My daughter loves the team too. what 11 year old loves the dentist?!?

Nothing negative to say about Laurelwood. The main thing I look for in a dentist's office: 1) is someone is looking to buy a new powerboat by trying to sell me a bunch of unnecessary procedures? 2) do the hygienists know what they're doing or are they scraping up the inside of my mouth and leaving me in pain? Both of these boxes are ticked at Laurelwood. They have a nice space that's pretty easy to reach off the 84. They are efficient and friendly as well.
