Whether you need a routine dental cleaning or full mouth esthetic reconstruction, Lakeside Dental can handle a number of dental needs. We help our patients maintain their beautiful smiles by educating them on the latest dental health practices, including regular brushing, proper nutrition and scheduled cleanings.
Ami has been the Office Manager in the practice for 10 years now. Her experience spans 26 years in the dental field; you name the dental specialty she has experience in that area too. She was raised in the Dallas area and loves it here! Despite the harsh heat of summer, she looks forward to many years to come here.
Dr. Paul Mizar and his staff take pride in providing top-of-the-line dental care, friendly customer service and an inviting atmosphere. Dr. Mizar has served the greater Plano area for nearly 25 years, and his front office, hygienist and dental assistant are skilled in making insurance payments less of a headache.
I have to commend Dr Mizar and his wonderful staff on their professionalism and going the extra mile for me and my son. Sometimes you need that person that will work WITH you to get things done. She handled us with the utmost respect and did an awesome job for us! My son's teeth look terrific and Dr Mizar did an excellent job!

Amazing place and Dr Mizar is the very best. I've been going here for 10 years, and both my wife and I look forward to it. That's crazy to look forward to the dentist! I've also never gone twice a year before, and now I do, because they are awesome and I know it's valuable. Scheduling is easy and staff are the best of the best. 6 stars if I could.

What a rip-off! When we switched insurance company, we called this office to inquire if they were in the network, we were told YES. After we received several statements, we noticed we were charged a lot more and the insurance company didn't cover much. I asked them again and they said they only had some relationship with the new insurance company, their negotiated rate was very low. This office was not honest with us from the very beginning, we are so disappointed. Please be aware next time when you deal with them. They lost us as a customer forever.

The people at Lakeside Dental are top-notch! We have been coming here for years, and even after we moved downtown, we continue to make the drive to see Dr Mizar and his staff for all of our dental care. They are professional, accommodating, and friendly. Dr Mizar's no pressure, straight-up diagnoses and options are a welcome change in a community where sometimes inappropriate (IMO) and more expensive "options" are given to patients at other dental offices. They were extremely professional and very sweet. I went here because all my coworkers go here because we all fall in the same insurance package and they're all EXTREMELY passionate about someone going here for a dentist. I tried them because I wanted to see if I needed work done because my back teeth were hurting quite a bit, and also I needed a cleaning.
I haven't been to the dentist in about 5 years, so I was scared they were going to basically "tear me a new one" for not taking care of my teeth haha But I was surprised of how sweet they were, and how informative they were and NOT being mean about me not going to the dentist for so long, and just said it's something I should do if I want healthy teeth for the future.
While doing my cleaning, I had A LOT of hard plaque, so she had to take out the "big gun" tools to take it off. It was uncomfortable, and sometimes it was borderline uncomfortable/hurting, but that's not the ladies fault, it's mine for not taking care of my teeth. Going to the dentist is never NOT uncomfortable, because it's the dentist, not a spa parlor.
She kept asking if I was alright, and always had a soft nice tone to her voice, which was nice and soothing. I'm always afraid that dentists are going to rip me off by saying somethings wrong with my teeth when in fact nothing is. Because my back teeth were hurting a lot, I would've believed them if they said I needed a root canal or a removal or something, and I would've done it.
What it turned out to be was just I was using the wrong tooth paste and my teeth are VERY sensitive and my gums would get inflammed and irritated, especially the teeth in the back, and I just needed to change toothpastes. Simple as that! That shows me how honest they are. They could've taken advantage of me and say there was something wrong and charge me $$$$, but they told me the truth and was only charged for a cleaning.
And by the way, since I've changed toothpaste my teeth haven't hurt anymore. : Thank you everyone there! You were all so very sweet and informative! I highly recommend this place!

My wife and I have been going to Dr Mizar for over 10 years. Great dentist with a very friendly and efficient staff. I hear stories from friends and colleagues of being "sold" services while stuck in the dentist chair. Not here. Very fair, and does to try to oversell. They also have a great appt reminder service via text or email. Will even set an appt on your calendar for you if you desire. Very happy.
