Dentistry encompasses array of services and procedures with a common goal: to help you to preserve your natural teeth, ensure your oral health, and keep you looking and feeling great. Whitening procedures have effectively restored the smile of people with stained, dull, or discolored teeth. Before development of dental implants, dentures were the only alternative to replacing a missing tooth or teeth.

The worse dentist experience I have ever had. I would not recommend anybody. The staff is rude. I called for a broken tooth but I was booked for cleaning without knowing. It took more time than I planned. The assistant does not speak English, she started speaking Spanish to me, without knowing if I understand. The hygienist has bad hands and she does not explain anything.
In addition, she is very slow at working. At my first impression, the dentist seemed expert, but he put a filling to rebuild a broken tooth and I lost it after few hours. The waiting area is dirty. I will never come back.

In August of 2018 I had just returned from a trip to Russia where I got an abscess in my mouth. I went to an Urgent Care clinic and they gave me antibiotics then I went to Dr. Smith. I told him I had been to Russia and it was a friendly place. He got upset and said his wife was Russian and it was a hellhole. I was surprised to hear this as he was a big Trump supporter.
He looked at my mouth and said that I would have to have a tooth removed and gave me the card of dentist that he worked with who he said would do it the next day. He also prescribed some more antibiotics but insisted that I use the pharmacy around the corner so he could get a kickback. When I went there I noticed there were several storefronts vacant in the building that housed his office.
I was still in pain and the abscess seemed to be spreading so I went back the next day. He told me I would have to have the tooth removed again. I insisted that he lance the abscess. He sat me in the chair and did everything he could to cause as much pain as he could during the procedure. He got this weird sadistic look on his face. Then he shows me all the puss that he drained.
I told him there was no need for him to show it to me. During this procedure his assistant was unsure if an instrument was disposable or not. He put a piece of something in the hole he had made in my mouth and I left. There was no abscess in my tooth it was in my cheek and it soon healed. If I would have listened to this fellow Jew, who went to an Hebrew speaking camp Mossad Aleph I would have had the tooth removed and he would have put in a bridge at an additional charge to myself and my insurance company.
It is April 5, 2019 (I waited a long time to write this review in case the problem returned) and I still have the tooth and am fine. There was nothing wrong with the tooth. He was going to have me remove it so he could make more money. I should have listened to my daughter who went to see him and he said nothing was wrong but when she went to a dental clinic at Stanford they found numerous problems.
My guess is they raised his rent so he was doing unnecessary procedures. I thought about returning and knocking one of his teeth out but that would have landed me in Central Booking where I could have gotten one of my teeth knocked out. He sent me a bill for $150 for lancing the boil which I never paid nor did he try to collect.

I had pain and was told by Dr. Smith that my crown had to be replaced (no further explanations were given). After the crown was replaced - with the fastest and crudest dental procedures I have ever experienced - the pain remains. It was definitely the poorest dentist experience I have ever had. I would not recommend anybody else to see this dentist.

Listen, nobody loves going to the dentist. That said, Dr. Smith's office is efficient, clean and professional. Dr. Smith has been my dentist since 2010. He takes my insurance, does not recommend unnecessary procedures and has an affable personality and a disarming sense of humor. He works quickly and gets the job done. I work down the block and make my appointments during my lunch break. There is never a wait to be seen and I am back in the office within an hour. I can't really complain.

Unfortunately I am going to have to downgrade. After the first few times I saw the doc, it's been downhill. They have rescheduled every appointment (3) I have had with them over the last year or so. The reasons include Jewish holiday (so, did you not know it was going to be a holiday until a week before?), doc is taking vacation. Then they push out my appointment atleast a month because that is all there is available. The cleaning lady is SO painful, I am really good with my teeth and I have told her to not be so rough more than once.

With dentist Smith you can get the attention necessary. He is a great dentist, as far as I have gone to his medical office I always have been treated well by the staff and himself. I recommend any new patient to come here. Before any procedure always explains what will be done. Thanks Dr. Smith and staff!

I never had horrible experience in my life like this. I swear to god I literally burst out of that office after constant rudeness and brutality. First the help desk Russian lady was a bitch. yes.bitch.absolute one!.no respect for anybody. She was even insulting the dentist in front of me who was completely subdued by her. I am not sure how they were tolerating her. Moreover, the dentist didn't even come and see me.
It was just the assistant who started pushing the X-ray device in my mouth and upon expression of my discomfort, she started rolling eyes and making faces at me making me feel I was someone who is not willing to make an effort and follow instructions. I have never seen that outdated technology in any dentist office I have been so far, and I had no idea how to put in my mouth and bite it without feel of throwing up.
She didn't show any patience and started pushing brutally and I ended up removing the upper skin of my mouth. I stopped her right there and left that place saying goodbye forever. I felt so relaxed coming out of that hell and it was best decision ever.

First off, I would have never gone to this dentist based on these reviews. I called Dr. Foxman's office to make an appointment, and somehow ended up with an appointment with Dr. Smith, who shares an office. I came in for a checkup. I never even saw/met Dr. Smith and only dealt with an assistant. She said I needed to have a gum scaling done. I've had the procedure done in the past a few years ago and this was nothing like that.
The assistant was absolutely brutal. I literally thought she was going to break my teeth. The following weekend, I had extreme persistent pain in my tooth on the side where the scaling had been performed. The pain was so bad that I couldn't sleep or do much of anything. I have relatively healthy teeth and have never experienced dental pain before.
I was unable to contact Dr. Smith, even through the emergency number. A day and a half went by where I was unable to sleep at all due to the pain. Finally Dr. Foxman got back to me. He did what he could, but wasn't able to help much, as I was officially (somehow) a patient of Dr Smith. Late that night Dr Smith, who I had still never met finally got back to me and was able to write a couple scripts.
When I asked him if the pain had anything to do with the scaling, he said absolutely not. Well, I guess it was a coincidence that the tooth just started hurting right after his assistant had butchered my gums. The entire experience was terrible and the fact that I went to two appointments without even meeting the dentist is completely unprofessional. I will be (reluctantly) paying my bill, and never setting foot in this place again.

I've used Adam K. Smith and his office's dental assistants for several years, needing mainly bi-annual scaling, periodic diagnostic x-rays, and very few filling replacements including replacement for a very old crown. I've always taken good care of my teeth having had braces as an adolescent. Under Dr. Smith's care I have seen what was needed on relevant x-rays, appreciated plausible explanations about recommended procedures, and trust that I've been treated fairly. Appointments have always been timely, procedures explained clearly enough to make sense to me, and I have been offered reasonable advice about insurance coverage when my providers changed.
Last week part of an old filling fell away as I crunched into a toasty hors d'ouvre and the next morning Dr. Smith offered me same day service for an assessment and replacement filling if I could get to his office that day; but I couldn't and instead was told that if I could arrive at opening hour the next business day he would work me in.
He did, and happily I was in and out of the office with a new filling in very few minutes - able to crunch into almonds for lunch right away if I liked as the filling was fully hardened in moments using a new technology. I'm satisfied with the results in using Dr. Smith as my only dentist, and expect to continue depending on his and his staff's services on a regular basis. Peter P

READ THIS if you even THINK about going to this guy. I wish I had read reviews of him before going. This guy completely fucked my whole mouth up. I'm going to need to spend thousands of dollars to fix what he did, whenever I have the money, and I don't, so I'm walkin around like this. Ugh. And it isn't just cosmetic, what he did could have injured my gums, my (good) dentists says. DO NOT GO, THIS GUY SHOULD NOT GET CLOSE TO YOU!
