I had an appointment and Alania (I hope this is spelled right. she is going to kill me if it is not ) did the cleaning, xrays and polishing of my teeth. My mouth felt sooooo much better after she all that great work. She went above and beyound to make sure I was comfortable. You could not ask for better service. Sonto the shop as a whole. You all are the best!

Dr. Risos is not a real Dentist. I had some concerns about my teeth and wanted to get my cavities filled (the most average task a Dentist can perform) and Dr. Risos didn't even check my teeth and said I didn't have any cavities and walked away. Every time I'd ask her a question, she'd refer me to a Specialist. She performs very low quality work and makes a lot of mistakes.

Last year, I also saw her for my routine check up, and she didn't want to fill my cavities, I almost had to beg her in which she agreed to. Secondly, she removed an old silver filling and now I supposedly need a "root canal" because she did something wrong, I guess she drilled too far in. I went to get a second opinion from a REAL Dentist, and I was told I had multiple cavities, some fractured teeth, and a tooth that had "patched fillings" done by Risos.

Basically what Dr. Risos did was, instead of removing my old fillings, like a real Dentist is supposed to, she just patched it up, kept the old ones there and added the filling. Worst quality care and professionalism. Beware, this Dentist is a scam.

My wife and I have been patients of Dr Risos for about 3 to 4 years. The first person you meet is Receptionist Jean who is the most courteous receptionist you could find. She is very patient with a sweet personality. Dr. Risos is very professional and very detailed. I am happy with their services. Randy

I wanted to give an honest review of Dr Risos and her staff. I realized I never left a review. She was recommended to me from a military spouse. I have always been terrified of dentist but she put me at ease the first visit. She is very caring and very knowledgeable, I have TMJ and from her referral found out I had sleep apnea. She was great from getting my insurance coverage information to getting my mouth guard approved.

She is exactly who you want to see and have someone the cares about your teeth and health not trying to overcharge for services you don't need. Her staff was always so helpful and I appreciate the overall kindness from the moment you walk in the door until the moment you leave. Thank you for everything.

I wrote my detailed review of Deanna Risos' work just three days ago -- and one of the front fillings came out as i flossed tonight. JUST 3 DAYS! i'd like to remove even this one star! i also checked the back tooth that i had told her was missing a filling, along with the two front fillings. Risos told me that the filling was still there.

She had dental tools to really see -- she told me a LIE. With my magnifying mirror, i can see that there is obviously NO filling on that tooth. My trust in "professionals" has just plummeted -- thanks to Deanna Risos' lack of professional skills AND ethics.

Just got my mouth reset by Jade. My teeth glamourous, breath fresh, confidence sky high. Good group of pros, you can not get better than what they provide. My mouth was a dumpster fire in progress. My mouth feels sooooooo bomb right now. Jade is very personable and very attentive. All I'm going to say is, come on in and get that work. WHAT THAT MOUF DO. ERTHANG!.

She is very professional, and her staff is awesome, i felt comfortable and safe.

Absolute discrimination. First off, if you want to be rushed through your appointments because they don't like what insurance you have, then this is the place for you. The front desk receptionist is one of the most passively aggressive rude people I have ever met. The dentist does have some compassion, which is why I didn't put only one star, but unfortunately she passes the control over for decisions on medication needs to her front desk clerk, which is absolutely ridiculous.

How could she possibly know from sitting behind a desk making appointments the pain of needing six root canals, but having to wait on insurance approval to do them one at a time. She is not a doctor nor qualified to make these decisions. Then, telling me if I am still in pain not only can I not have any more medicine, but I should go to the hospital.

They are the dentist that started the work (which was done partially incorrect and rushed because they didn't like my insurance) and now just want to pass me off? They would complain to me about the insurance I have each appointment telling me how they probably won't get paid for all this work and they can't make me pay for it and so on. Really upset with the lack of compassion from the front desk clerk who also refused to let me speak with the dentist or receive a call back from her upon request, which is my right. If they don't like medi-cal Aetna, then don't accept it. But don't punish a patient in pain that you agreed to help because of what insurance they carry.

I recently went to a dentist for cleaning a X-ray for typical check up and my previous dentist Risos did nothing but scammed me for long time! Her office did nothing but to take an advantage of me and my kids for 10 years since her last visit which has been for several years. The reason why I am bring this up now is because I don't want anyone or families to go through what I have gone through.

I had to get mouth Guard due to clamping my teeth while I sleep. Risos tooth impressions of my teeth and send it to another third-party make the actual mouth guard and return it back to me. I just recently took my mouth guard to a new dentist and he was shocked because the mouth guard was not the hard plastic piece but a rubber ones that I could have gotten from Dick's sporting store. I've even got bridges done from her which pieces got broken probably because I didn't have a correct mouth guard.

She costed me lot of pain suffering and now it's going to cost me more to correct the damage she has caused! I am going to let the word out to others through word of mouth!

Thank you Dr Risos & staff, especially Jane who is very attentive to our needs! My husband and I are moving out of state & we needed to complete all our treatment in a timely fashion; Jane got us scheduled and we were able to get everything done, ASAP! The hygienist has such a soft touch and is incredibly thorough. Dr Risos' assistant was gentle and goes above & beyond to make us comfortable.

I love this office! They have photos taken of my teeth that explains the what, whys & ifs in a way that is easy to understand. They have a Caesy program that you watch which gives detailed information about the diagnosis and treatment plans. I truly appreciate Dr. Risos' & her staff's patient-education based approach! It helps me feel empowered to make the right decisions about my dental care. Thank you all for being gentle and flexible. It's a joy to come to your office.

Doctor did 6 fillings in one go, she's not supposed to do so many in one go because it changes your bite too much. My bite felt wrong and was uneven. Which caused jaw pain and headaches. She tried fixing it twice. After that they tried sending me to a specialist that my insurance doesn't cover. My bite was fine prior to the fillings and I had no pain in my jaw prior to the work this dentist did.

Please beware of Google reviews, they don't show the truth behind this dentist's work. Check Yelp to see how many others have suffered. I would not recommend this dentist based on my experience.

Have you ever thought about the vast expertise it takes to be a dentist? You must be a doctor, a sculptor, handle serious equipment, see the intimate, dark depths of a person's mouth, all while being courteous, administering medicine, handling paperwork, and scheduling. Dr. Deanna Risos office is so clean, every person I encountered was so sweet and instantly put me at ease.

I am one of those people who avoided the dentist for 5 years out of shame and fear. When I expressed this I was comforted, reassured and the rest of my visit they were checking in on me, telling me how good I was doing and making me feel like a star patient. If you are like me. see Dr. Deanna Risos! You need not be afraid any longer.

Dr. Risos has been our Dentist for years. In my opinion, she is sweet, professional and attentive every time that we go there. My girls were always happy to go with Dr. Risos also because she always had a little present for them from the toy box and I love that! They always make us feel like we are part of a family and that's exactly what I was looking for Thank you Dr. Risos

Visited Dr. Risos's dental clinic yesterday and had my quarterly dental cleaning. My RDH was Jade and her hand-scaling technique was so comfortable I was almost falling asleep! Great job!

I don't really have time to write a reviews, but I thought it wouldn't be fair to others that go to this dentist without fair WARNING. I wish I could give a Negative 5 Star rating to this woman. As a quick summary, I visited this "dentist" twice. After each cleaning she came in and essentially used scare tactics to try and con me into expensive procedures that needed to be done 'immediately'.

The 1st 'recommendation' was that I needed 4 teeth pulled. After many years with my previous dentist, they NEVER informed me that my teeth needed extraction. However, due to the apparent end-of-year money grab this woman was going for, from my better than average insurance, she was literally putting the phone in my hand to make the call to her 'referral'.

This was so she could get this done before year end (2018). Total estimate - $16,000. I proceeded to call her out and to look me straight in the eye and say that, in her professional opinion, I really need this procedure. She couldn't and just walked out saying my teeth will fall out in 3 months. My BS sensor was in full tilt at that point and told myself I will never go back.

Fast forward to 2019 (more than 3 months later). Although I said that I would never go back, decided to give it another go as the hygienist was decent from the last visit. I decided to make another appointment, just for the teeth cleaning. The cleaning was ok. After the hygienist was done, the crazy comedy act began when Deanna came in. I was expecting her to harp about getting my teeth extracted but she threw me for a loop.

She proceeded to inform me that I need gum grafting! Really?! But it doesn't stop there. She said that before I do the grafting, I need to whiten my teeth and told the assistant to proceed to get the trays ready for custom impressions for the whitening (Cost - $2,000). Lets be clear, I never mentioned/asked for teeth whitening! The final joke to her stand-up comedy act is her cost estimate for the gum grafting.

She informed me that the grafting was going to cost $80k! And.that I needed to immediately call her 'referal' to get this scheduled right away. She then informed me that they will report on what needs to be done and she will do the procedure. I was laughing and again, proceeded to call her out and inform her that at my 1st visit, she recommended teeth extraction. Today, she is saying that it's gum grafting.

She became very defensive and talked over me that the grafting needs to be done. What a crock of sheeite the woman is selling. I am amazed she is still practicing with the type of business ethics I've experienced. As the other bad reviews are consistent with my experience, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Do not go to this so-called dentist if you value you smile and wallet.

No option for ZERO stars? The main reason I went to this office was because of the hygienist; unfortunately, I encountered Deanna who insisted I needed a crown, without fully explaining that my tooth would be removed down to the root. When I arrived for the procedure, I had to watch a mandatory video; after viewing a few minutes of the video I promptly walked out of the office.

The idea of removing my tooth was revolting. I went for a second opinion and it turns out, I never needed a crown. 3 years later, still don't need a crown. In addition, I was given a "sleep guard" aka whitening tray from "Dr. Risos" which did not last 3 months; I now know what a real sleep guard (which was recommended from another dentist) should look and feel like ---- nothing like what "Dr. Risos" made me pay $250 for. This is the worst provider I have ever been seen by. Save yourself the headache.

I've been seeing Dr. Risos for almost 8 years now and I couldn't be happier. She's an awesome dentist and genuinely cares for her patients. Her staff is also awesome! You will not be disappointed in the quality of care she and her team provides to their patients.

Like some of the other negative reviews, she will definitely suggest sleep studies and seeing specialists she will refer you to. I was pretty disappointed with my last visit with her. I had started thinking some things seemed strange. Such as being told every visit I had cavities and that I needed a crown. Issues which I've never had before. Went in for a filling a few weeks ago and ended up having excruciating pain after. Scheduled a check up a few days later and she insisted there was nothing wrong, became very defensive and condescending.

She said if I didn't believe her I should go get a second opinion. Well I did, and money out of pocket later, I had to get the filling redone. The new dentist couldn't believe how poorly the previous filling had been done. They also told me I do not need a crown! I will never be going to her again. One star because her staff is nice.

This is a VERY delayed review, but I went to Dr. Risos several times and the last time I went was for a filling. I was in excruciating pain, and I explained that I have had fillings performed before but never experienced this kind of pain during a dental procedure. Dr. Risos explained that it was my "anxiety" that was causing the pain, which is not true as that I just had dental work performed by another dentist and I was in zero pain as that the numbing agents worked well.

My guess is that she was not putting the numbing agent in the correct location therefore it felt like she was drilling on top of my nerve. I will never go back! DO NOT go here unless you want to be scammed and sold on unnecessary procedures. She even recommended that I do a sleep study when I have zero problems with sleep or medical issues!

Run far away. DO NOT book an appointment. This dentist will Fuck your teeth up. She will cause you more pain then when you went in. Both my husband and I had zero pain or problems with our teeth.she filled a couple fillings on him and he's been in pain for the last 4 months.she states it will go away. I thought I was getting my amalgam fillings removed and crowns put on.

I ended up needing 2 unnecessary root canals because she damaged the nerves so severely. I went to 2 different dentist to get second opinions.and both reviewed my exrays and were shocked at how I ended up in excruciating pain from what should have been 2 simple crowns.

Love love Dr. Risos! After having some terrible past experiences with dentists I developed extreme anxiety so it was important for me to find a dentist that could keep my anxiety at ease. I found her, Dr. Risos! So far the best dentist in Chula Vista I could ask for. She's so gentle and sweet. Jane at the front desk is just as sweet. Lovely team, clean office, easy to park, excellent service, and very fair pricing. Couldn't ask for anything more!

The office is very nice, clean. Staff are friendly a accommodating. Also, very convenient only 5 miles away from my home. Dr. Risos is very thorough, explain things in away you'll understand. Give you time to decide what's best for you. I love my Dentist.

I cant have my teeth in better hands, Dr Risos is the greatest, love her office, nothing but the best stuff, i like going to her office before lunch time, they always invite me to eat with the office, they are all so nice! But the most important thing with them is their professionalism always on time, if i have an appointment its always on time, i never have to wait for such a long period. Dr Risos is sometimes too nice, she always go out of her ways to help people. Over all theres almost nothing bad too say about this practice.

This is my second visit to Dr. Risos office. And like the first time, very pleased with the painless procedure done to my teeth. (Not to mention their nice office and high-tech equipments). I would also like to thank all her staff for making my appointments with them effortless.

Recently, I went to Dr. Risos's office for my annual checkup. Staff were very friendly and efficient. It was quick and painless. I would definitely recommend her to all my friends. Dr. Risos is the best!

After reading the amazing reviews on yelp for Dr. Risos, I decided to visit her for an emergency issue. I had an appointment at 10 and wasn't seated until about 1030. I am not upset about the wait time since she is the only doctor there. The issue was that they try to upscale everything. I spent a good 1 to 1.5 hr watching videos about extractions and periodontal disease.

After watching the videos, the gal at the front came to me with a summary of treatment. After all this, my emergency issue was never resolved and when dr. Risos said she was going to give me a prescription for an antibiotic, she never wrote me one. Thank you dr. Risos. You caused me a $110 visit to the ER. Not impressed and will not be back.

I was refferred to her by a family member and she is now me and my daughters family dentist. Staff: They are very knowledgeable, friendly, and effiecient. They've taken real good care of me and my daughter, best customer service I've ever eperienced at a Dental clinic. Most importantly, the clinic is spot-free and well-organized. Staff did a great job on the upkeep of clinic. Dr. Risos: She is very kind, entertaining, and very comforting.

She is accomodates to the needs of your family. She is very informative and she makes sure that she adresses all of your concerns. She gave us a bag of goodies to ensure that we continue good hygiene practice. You get your moneys worth when you go there for your visits. I am completely satisfied with Dr. Rios, her Staff and clinic. I highly recommend her as a family dentist.
