I have been coming here for awhile now and I haven't had any issues here. Staff are very welcoming and caring. They made me feel very calm and reassured me that everything would be okay. I referred people here as well and they loved it here. Thank you for a caring staff.

I've been bringing my three children to this dentist office for years. I absolutely love their kindness towards all of my children. I also love the fact that it is all women dentist and dental assistance. They provide excellent service and they treat us like family!

My previous review was a 5 star & so shall this one. I am a Google guide(star by pic). I usually give reviews, that are 5 star delicious. However, My dental office has impressrd me so much with their professional, yet very friendly attitude. Having had a lot of work done, with minimal to no pain, these ladies are great at what they do. Timely appointments and always a great office atmosphere. Thank you ladies & Dr. Maroon.

Great Dental experience, Seen promptly, great customer service. I had been looking for a dentist where your seen at your scheduled time & they are Great! Other places I waited over 2 hrs & was never see or got called at the other place so I left But here at Pacific Dental it's very easy scheduling & seen Right on time with No wait at all. Very happy & pleased & have been coming for over a year & a half now, very happy & the best part they take many insurances that most people don't know they even do take!

Was nervous about switching to PPO. They thoroughly cleaned my teeth and gums, but were not transparent about pricing! One of their front desk ladies showed me the out-of-pocket price before they began. She said that this was what I needed to pay in order to get my teeth cleaned (insurance was only covering the polish?). When I looked at the itemized receipt AFTER my cleaning, they charged me for laser bacteria removal, fluoride, and a bunch of other completely unnecessary things! I am disappointed that I wasn't more vigilant with reading other reviews before coming here. Will not return.

I appreciate the staff at Pacific Dental so much! I was able to get an appointment in short notice, to remove an impacted tooth, much to my relief! Dr. Maroon was very conforming and efficient. Her dental assistants were instructive with my at-home self care. The personal attention I received made my visit pleasant. Being new to the Chula Vista community, I feel fortunate to have found this dental office.

The staff is always so pleasant and professional. My services start in a timely manner and done with care. I really love this dental office! Even my oldest daughter continues to see them as an adult.

I wish I could say that my experience was superb but it was NOT. I was greeted upon entry from the front office and that Dental Assistant was gentle, attentive and pleasant, but the doctor NOT so. I had no idea she was even the doctor because she failed to introduce herself. She didn't acknowledge or review my past dental history with me, didn't talk to me about my anxiety and how offer the slightest concern to help make my experience not scary.

She came in, and just start looking at my teeth and comparing to X-rays, calling out work and what needed an authorization to the dental assistant. Then she left the room and didn't return. The dental assistant is the staff member that talked to me about and saw me out. I had already made my decision that I would not return when the doctor didn't introduce herself.

I've been a healthcare worker for 20 plus years and I've seen ER doctors dealing with multiple trauma patients be more sincere and compassionate. Dr. Melissa needs coaching on being caring and compassionate or maybe she's in the wrong industry. A degree can't change your heart and yesterday I left Pacific Dental disappointed and not pleased.

From the moment I walked in the door the staff made me feel like i was someone special. Very professional. The doctor is so detailed and always expressive on what she is doing. I would and will recommend to all my family and friends. Witch they came highly recommended by other patients. 5 stars from me.

This is another scam dental office that upcharges every patient that doesn't know better to get services that you must pay additional for. This is not dentistry, this is not patient care this is purely a business

I went to Dr. Maroon's office with good faith but I didn't know they were going to scam me. They exhaust your coverage in their own favor by fixing things that don't need to be fixed. He did a crown for me but it was a really bad job. I came back because I had a problem with the way he did it, and he gave me a strange look of why I came back with a complaint.

He told me he wouldn't adjust the crown. He put me in a financial hardship because I paid out of pocket. From what I've heard, that office has been in business for a while but they don't have a real client base because they scam everyone. When you are in pain, he won't be there for you. The lady at the front desk was no help at all and nothing but a thief. He's also only at the Encinitas location twice a week which is inconvenient.

They only care about money and they don't care about your pain or suffering. At a heart beat, they will put you in financial hardship. Do yourself a favor, and look at all his reviews.

I love my dentist. The staff is absolutely hospitable and make me feel comfortable. I have always been afraid to go to the dentist but now I'm completely calm and no longer afraid. They are absolutely gentle when it comes to working on your teeth! I AM PLEASED WITH MY DENTAL WORK. Thank you Dr Maroon.

Dr. Maroon cares more about the money than your teeth. He charges the insurance for work he did not do. And he purposely breaks your teeth so he can fix it and charge the insurance and patient. In 6 Months my husband paid around $4,000.00.

Went here a few months ago, wait is horribly long. OVERCHARGED for everything! They also wanted to charge me 500 for a deep cleaning, went to a different dentist and they said my insurance COVERED IT. Only trying to get money out of people. Half of the claim submitted to my insurance by them was wrong they bill for stuff they didn't do so patient pays out of pocket. Sooner or later they will be in trouble for fraud!

My wife and i had regular cleaning on same day it took over one and a half hours for each of us to get r-rays and cleaning done.they try ed to get us to pay hundreds more each for more work and we said no.then we got cleaning for less than 3 minuets each.one year before we each paid over $1600.00 each for deep cleaning and other work out of our own pocket.

Ive been going to this guy for awhile. Procedures are decent but ALWAYS trying to up sale. Seems like his office is more concerned about getting paid first. Service optional. Currently looking for a different dentist.

Dr. Maroon, re-did my entire mouth. I came in with crappy yellow and missing teeth. I told him I wanted a white Hollywood smile.for once in my life, I wanted nice white teeth! $17, 000 dollars later, my teeth looked great.he was like an artist.the bottom teeth had a little yellow tinge to them, which bothered me quite a bit.he said that was to make them look natural.

I didn't want natural. I wanted WHITE! Oh well, they sure looked better than before.the six teeth on the bottom front, he decided instead of crowns, he would do veneers.all the others were crowns.one of the uppers there was too much space between them, and food got caught between them.one on the bottom veneers had some black stuff at the bottom.since that time, the upper with the space, fell out. after just a little time, ALL the veneers fell off, one after the other.

Each time I went in, I had to pay Dr. Maroon to 're-glue each tooth.the upper one he wanted to charge me $1,500 just to fix it.since that time, I have had to replace several teeth.because they just fell off. Unfortunately, I had to do most of that in TJ because the $17,O 00 practically wiped me out. I really believe that Dr. Maroon should have stood by his work. I also believe Dr. Maroon is extremely money hungry, but other than that, he can be a great dentist

Maroon is sales, sales, sales. He suggested that I have a crown put on a tooth that had a very old filing. The tooth in question didn't really bother me prior to this. After several botched attempts at the crown (defective, hole in it, etc.) he suggested I go to Nguyen (Endontist) in Chula Vista) for a root canal. Now I've spent over $1,000 and all I have is a tooth that still bothers me two years later. Maroon left the tooth/crown with a hole it where Nguyen did the root canal. I've been to several dentists in the past two years and each one "immediately" goes to this tooth because it does not look right; they notice it immediately when they go to do an exam.strange wouldn't you say?

I would never send anyone here or to Nguyen because the pain I suffered following the numerous crowns done by Maroon and root canal done by Nguyen who seemed arrogant and very put out that anyone could possibly question his work when Maroon sent me back to him because the pain was almost unbearable and neither seemed to give a dam. Obviously they did something wrong to cause this much pain and neither fixed the problem so I still need to have the tooth fixed properly. Neither should be in business as far as I'm concerned. I would give them a zero but I have to select at least 1.

I would give negative stars if it were possible. BEWARE. You don't have to be a germaphob to see that place is unsanitary, . When was the last time OSHA checked the place? The instruments are already exposed when you are seated (isn't it supposed to be bagged and opened in front of the patient to assure it's sterilized?), operatories are way too small, and I can go on. I'm very observant. Dr is nice, but maybe should do a little renovating in the office. Receptionist and office manager were pretty friendly though, that's the only positive thing I have to say about it.

I had to find a new dentist after my insurance changed so I went to Dr. Maroon's office. I will not be back. Right as soon as I walked in, the vibe was "sales sales sales". My teeth "cleaning" was hardly a cleaning at all! It seemed like they just poked around and that was it. I saw the "dentist" for like a full 3 minutes where she proceeded to tell me how much work I needed done.

They completely exaggerate everything to make it seem like you need all this work, just trying to get money out of you. They did the same thing with my husband. After our 3 minutes with the dentist (who I didn't talk to), one of the ladies sat down with me to explain everything I needed. But don't worry, they can work with you to break things down to make it easier to pay! Wow.

It didn't feel like a dentist at all. Didn't like the vibe, my husband hated it too. Don't come here unless you want to pay a lot for crappy service. They also took really long to see my husband and I, even with appointments. One good thing, the receptionist was friendly.

I am happy to say this is my dentist. I have had nothing but great experiences there in Chula Vista. My first visit was aesome a few years ago and continues to be a great place for me.

I have only been seeing John Maroon DDS for a couple of months and I have had a favorable experience. I have no complains. The staff is pleasant and knowledgeable and so is the DSS. The areas are clean, organized and well kept. I am pretty happy with the service I have received. I would defenitely recommend this place.

Dr. John Maroon pulled out my wisdom tooth out fast and no pain that I didn't even know he had already extracted my tooth! The office is very conveniently located close to my home and with plenty of parking. I was able to get a same day appointment and was in and out in about an hour! All the staff were all helpful and kind. Thank you for everything!

Had my braces done here and I'm pretty satisfied with my smile. Dr. Maroon and his medical team were great. But beware. this place's billing policy is shady! Ensure you are on top on every detail you are billed and ask questions! At the end, I feel my teeth were taken hostage because I had a remaining balance so they wouldn't take off my braces! Crazy.

Even more crazy, note that a retainer is not included in ortho costs which I found out at the end. I talked to several other dentist about it and they said it was bizarre to do that. I've since moved on to another dentist but bottom line I am content with the smile that Dr. Maroon and his team gave me.
