Dr. Alfredo de Alba a wonderful, well-respected orthodontic specialist with more than 40 years of experience in teaching and clinical practice. We have hand selected him to be a part of our team due to his excellent clinical skills and personable chairside manner. Dr. de Alba became a specialist in orthodontics in 1975 from UCLA.

Dr. Prater and all the staff members were very friendly. I was able to get an appointment/consultation for my daughter right away. My daughter is extremely happy with her braces. Thank you Dr. Prater for your patience with her. Everyone there made daughter feel comfortable and ALL the staff were very attentive, polite and competent!

I took my son about 1 1/2 years ago or so for braces evaluation and was told that they would submit paperwork for approval to the insurance and was told it would take 6-12 months for an answer. I never heard back from anyone and once I called I was told that paperwork was never submitted. I now brought him to Western Dental and within 2 months he was approved for braces but now they will only cover the duration up until he is 21!
So we will have to pay out of pocket after one year of being covered under his insurance. Its frustrating that I wasted my time with them thinking they were submitting the paperwork. Wasted time! Had I went to Western Dental to begin with, my son would have been completely covered. Always get a 2nd or 3rd opinion people! Thanks to Rancho Del Rey, now I will have to pay out of pocket for half of the services due to their lack of communication and their lack of submitting paperwork to the insurance!

Dr. Prater and her team were AMAZING! It was my 6 yrs old first "real" dental visit aside from cleaning and he was nervous. She and assistant, Claudia, made him feel relaxed, reassured and he laughed throughout his orthodontic visit. He didn't even had issue during his impressions!
