Services
Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that specializes in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of dental and facial irregularities. An orthodontist is a specialist who has completed 4 years of dental school and has elected to specialize by completing an additional 2 to 3 years of advanced orthodontic training with an accredited educational program.
A quick trip down 125 from Santee, a close 20 min to Downtown San Diego, right next to Bonita. 2 miles from Eastlake, a few minutes from Otay Ranch, a short trip down 125 from La Mesa, and another quick trip down 125 from San Carlos for the highest quality orthodontic treatment. East of Coronado. My wife and I could not be happier with the care that our two kids are receiving from Dr Cruz and his team!
Dr. Cruz is a native San Diegan, born and raised in Pacific Beach and a graduate from Mission Bay High School. He attended UCSD where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and met his future wife, Keri. They currently have two children, Caylie age 11 and Carly age 6. Dr. Cruz earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2003 graduating Cum Laude from UCLA.

Dr. Cruz came highly recommended by the staff at my daughter's elementary school. My 2 daughters have completed treatment with Dr. Cruz and his office did such a great job that I went to him for my treatment as well. Their pricing is reasonable, especially compared to other orthodontists, and their customer service is impeccable. They take the time to get to know you and your family. I have enjoyed getting to know them over the years as my family has cycled through their orthodontic treatments, and the results are fantastic.

We had a great experience at Cruz Orthodontics. Dr. Cruz walked us through the entire process of what to expect once treatment starts. Not only did he make sure we understood and were comfortable with the treatment plan but most importantly he included our son in the conversation and the planning. Dr. Cruz has a great work environment and all of the staff are super friendly. We highly recommend him.

Dr. Cruz and his staff are just amazing! They are honest, reliable, friendly, great at their jobs, helpful and fun. All three of our boys have been in their office over the past 5+ years and I have nothing but praise for them. From the moment you walk in the door you feel welcomed and taken care of. They know you by name and remember your face (especially when they are treating all your kids). They are truly a family and love what they do and it shows.

We'd like to send a huge THANK YOU to Dr. Cruz and his staff! Our teenage daughter's teeth look great! She was under the care of Dr. Cruz a little over two years, almost all of which was during COVID. Dr. Cruz is very friendly, takes the time to explain all procedures, and is happy to answer any questions. The staff also maintained a high level of courteous professionalism throughout the entire process, keeping us informed of new requirements for each appointment.
We couldn't have had a better experience and our daughter agrees (we asked her). The new patient gift cards and mini celebration when she had her braces taken off were a bonus. Thank you again, Cruz Orthodontics!

Dr Cruz and his staff are wonderful. They go out of their way to make sure you are well taken care of. We got detailed instructions each step along the treatment. My daughter just got her braces off, and she is surprised at how quick and comfortable it had been. Her experience had been very pleasant and fun. Now, my younger daughter can't wait to start hers. Thank you Dr. Cruz!

Dr. Cruz and his staff are outstanding! I chose Dr. Cruz after careful consideration between him and my older child's orthodontist. It was a difficult choice to decide to use a different provider for my youngest, but we felt his approach to her specific situation was the best course to take. I am so glad we did! His office staff does a fantastic job at every aspect of your experience, from the routine visit with adjustments, to helping Dr. Cruz with any procedure.
His staff is great for billing, payment and scheduling. The visits are quick without an excessive wait in the lounge or the chair, making for a easy visit every time. Dr. Cruz explains everything and discussed the options with us we knew what to expect. His experience proved to be the key to the best treatment option for us. With two phases required for treatment, it was commitment we did not take lightly.
When we initially came to Dr. Cruz, he said he wanted to wait for another 6 to see how her teeth progressed, we came back again for another evaluation, and provided us with his treatment plan and goals. 6 years later and we can't be happier with the results. Make sure to get a consultation with Dr. Cruz before you decide on a provide and treatment plan elsewhere.

Dr. Cruz and his staff are amazing! My son has been treated with the best care. At the beginning he was not very comfortable well who really is at any dentist/orthodontist office but now he walks in on his own. They all know him and call him by his name. It's a great staff and Dr. Cruz besides being knowledgeable, he's also very patient and kind. I would highly recommend Dr. Cruz to anyone looking to get braces. Top Notch the BEST in town!
