Marcus Whitmore

Mr. Whitmore is an UNETHICAL salesman, who does business as a dentist! I paid $16000 out of pocket for implants. At the end of that process, I asked him to evaluate another painful tooth. He tried to sell me a $4000 appliance that was for TMJ! I have never had TMJ! I do not have any jaw pain or head aches etc. I questioned him and the office person who tried to sell me this thing!

He did not appreciate that. On my follow up visit for the implants, I asked him to evaluate that tooth again. This time, he came up with a completely DIFFERENT DIAGNOSIS and treatment plan. Now, he sends me a certified letter to terminate our dentist-patient relationship! WTF? I am one who requires answers and explanations for medical decisions. He does not want to be questioned.

This is a huge issue! Beware! I would never recommend Dr. Whitmore. He is untrustworthy and unethical! Do yourself a favor, DO NOT consider going to this office! You will loose your money and get questionable service at best! I am completely DISGUSTED!

I have not physically been there yet but the nurse or receptionist has the best customer service skills. So friendly and knowledgeable. Mom was in hospital so had to cancel and she even called to see how she was. I will definitely be there in the NY.

Had a crown come off that Dr. Whitemore placed in March. It was on a Friday when his office was closed. Called his cell and left multiple messages. 2 hours later returned my call (after I texted him) and gave excuse after excuse of why he couldn't help me. I was in pain and had to go to an emergency dentist for help. The dentist had to place a new crown since Dr. Whitemore did not properly place the first time.

So now insurance won't pay for new crown and I am out even more money. Dr. Whitemore never called to check up or follow up. No excuse for him since he is suppose to be "on call". He was doing yoga and at chiroprater so couldn't answer phone :( Really? He said he "might be able to get an assistant to help him" around 2 pm that day. It happened at 10am and I was in pain and couldn't even drink water.

I regret trusting Dr. Whitemore to be my dentist. True colors have definitely been shown from this office. *update- As of 11-16-18 he is taking financial responsibility and is covering the costs I was out due to him not being available.

Dr. Whitmore and his staff are very friendly! They are extremely knowledgeable and go above and beyond to answer any and all questions that you may have!

Dr. Whitmore and staff go above and beyond any customer experience I've ever experienced! I feel so welcomed and special on my visit there. I don't live in the area but it's worth the drive and I've never been happier!

Hands down one of the best dentists I've been to. They have greatly improved the quality of my life with their advanced and thorough TMJ treatment program. I highly recommend them to anyone suffering with any pain related to their TMJ. It might just change your life.

Do yourself a favor and call another dentist! I had an appointment with Dr Whitmore and all was going well until I questioned his recommended treatment plan. HIs demeanor and attitude completed changed. He became loud, rude, and on the verge of screaming at me, all while his hygienist Rachel sat beside me with a look of embarrassment on her face. I believe, as a previous poster said he is only interested in making a buck.

He certainly doesn't have any regard for his patients feelings or concerns with their treatment and cost of such. I will tell everyone I can to avoid this man! Very unprofessional, rude, arrogant And condescending! RUN FROM THIS OFFICE! Wish I could give a zero star rating!

This dentist ask for credit or debit card number up front, cause if you have dental ins. they only pay a reasonably amount. He on the other hand changes your card for his unreasonably amount, then files your ins. for you to come directly to you cause ins. only pays the adjusted prices for services. He don't want anything to do with ins. adjusted prices for services. He want as must money as he can get. Never again!

This dentist is a crook. Plain and simple. He charged me more than any dentist has ever charged me or any member of my family, and he does VERY POOR QUALITY WORK. AVOID this dentist, even if you are in pain, drive on by! I went there with absolutely NO PAIN and came out in such pain, for months and months. I went to a new dentist and he said the work in my mouth was amateurish and very, very poor.

The crown was not seated correctly, it was very messy, and it looked like a dental student had done the work. This dentist needs to close his practice and try something else. He also has a terrible demeanor with patients. If you come back in pain, he makes you feel like you are an annoyance, and he treats you with incredible disrespect. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST for ANY WORK AT ALL. If I could give ZERO stars, that is what he would receive. CROOK, CROOK, CROOK!

Dr. Whitmore's entire objective is to get as much money out of you as possible. Unfortunately, the trust I had in him has cost me about $6,000, two years of unbearable pain and outside treatment for TMJ. The devices he made me purchase that were apparently going to help reverse what he caused were looked at by my new dentist and he was appalled.

I should have taken the terrorizing way he treats his staff as a red flag. AVOID THIS DENTIST. I would do anything to turn back time and did my research about his unprofessionalism and money scams : Side note: When confronted with the second opinion about his devices, he yelled ay me, got extremely defensive and actually stormed out of the room. It was a bit shocking to experience.
